The Legendary F Rank Chapter 233

Chapter 233: Hong Xia's Teacher.
Haru looked around after hearing the voice but then suddenly felt something clamp down around his waist and found it a little bit hard to breath as he felt the ground beneath his feet vanish as he was lifted up into the air and was blinded by white light as he entered the clouds.
'What's going on?' He thought as he looked down to see that he was being grabbed by a hand that looked similar to the technique that Teacher Lin had used many times before. He had no idea what was happening but as he looked up he began to see what looked like a waterfall that was spilling water down from the sky but it looked a little strange.
Instead of the water falling down instead it was caught in what looked like a huge bubble floating in the sky. Haru was at a loss for words as he watched as rocks soon appeared before finally he saw what looked like dirt and grass. It was then when he realised he was looking at a floating island, similar to the one he had within his soul ocean.
The only difference being that this one was by no means as scary as what he had in his soul ocean. In fact, this place felt friendly but soon began to doubt that it was friendly as he was pulled towards an ancient-looking mansion in the centre of the island and saw dozens of people with swords and spears all dressed in the same clothes. Haru quickly realised that this was a sect.
And by the looks of it, they had a sect master that was at least comparable to Teacher Lin. He didn't want to call for help just yet since they didn't show any intent that they wanted to harm him. But even so, he still had the option to call Teacher Lin to help him get free from the hand that was still wrapped around him.
He also didn't want to make enemies with them at a time like this. If he could convince them to help out during the incoming battle it would be a great amount of help. Even having one more Nascent soul stage cultivator would make a huge difference against the demon clan.
As Haru got closer to the building, the speed the hand was moving at slowed down before finally coming to a stop before an old woman that looked to be in her sixties stepped out from within.
"Your cultivation isn't bad for a brat. Where did you come from? What do you want with my student?" The old woman asked in a tone that said she had no time for games and her patience was running thin. But Haru had other plans. He wanted to show his strength a little more so that they could at least talk on equal terms. He wasn't the type of man to let others talk down to him if they had more power than him.

So while the grip of the hand was still firmly wrapped around his body and holding him in place, he swayed his finger a little bit and then suddenly opened up a void corridor around his body and exited directly next to the old woman and sat down on one of the steps to the building with his back turned to her to show that he wasn't a threat.
The last thing that he wanted was to be beaten up by another nascent soul stage master while Lao wasn't nearby to help.
The woman seemed surprised by what Haru had just done and didn't have any way to explain it. People on earth were supposed to be clueless to anything about the upper realms so how could a man younger than twenty years old be able to master the law of space to such a degree that he is able to move his whole body through a void corridor.
"Who is your master?!" The woman asked with a stutter. She didn't know who she had just offended by capturing Haru and was a little bit scared to find out but if it was someone that she already knew it would be easier to explain that it was all just a misunderstanding.
Her original plan was to punish Haru for disrespecting her student's family by damaging their property and hurting their employees. But now that he had shown the power that far performed the understanding of humans that were from earth she had changed her plan completely. Now she was thinking about the best course of action she could take to not offend him.
"My master isn't important. He is just a quiet old man that comes from a place far away. You wouldn't know him." Haru smiled slightly as he thought about the face Li Jun would make if he knew that Haru had called him an old man.
"But what is important is that you are the teacher that Hong Xia spoke of? You know the situation in the upper realms don't you?" Haru asked with a sigh. He was intrigued to know more about it but also would feel guilty knowing about it. He still remembered hearing Jasper's scream when his soul had communicated with Haru's and told him not to return to the soul tempering lands.
All though he was worried about Jasper there was nothing he could do about it right now. He didn't know where the elven clan lived yet alone how to get there. But he knew that once he did get to the upper realms the first thing he would do is find out what happened that day in the soul tempering grounds.

"Hmm… The upper realms… So your master even told you about that? Yeah, I know the situation there right now, what of it?" The woman spoke in a tone that said she wanted something in return for telling him about it.
"My master was the one who killed the member of the demon clan a few nights ago. And I'm currently gathering as many cultivators as I can to help fight back before they come here and kill everyone.
If you are from the upper realms then you should know what the demon clan do to worlds when someone offends them right? And the fact that you chose a planet in the middle of nowhere to set up your sect, tells me that you are probably running from something.
I don't know what you plan to do when they arrive here but I'm going to fight. Fight for my life and fight for the life of the seven billion people living on this planet. So could you tell me what's going on up there?" Haru lay everything out for her. He didn't intend to hide anything or be disingenuous with her because the fact of it was that she could probably see through any lie that he told her.
That wasn't a skill that you gained from cultivating but a skill you learned from being betrayed countless times in the past. And if she was from the upper realms then she probably had at least one hundred more years of experience in life than Haru did.
"You want to fight back against the demon clan? Now that's a funny joke. Let me tell you something. When the demon clan wants someone dead they will do whatever it takes to kill them. I even heard that some of the demons have a shared consciousness. No matter where they are in the universe or even if they are in other realms completely they will know what the other is thinking. Even if you kill all of the demons that come here, there is no way that you will be able to escape if one of them has a shared consciousness." The woman explained briefly.
"There was a curse that the demon ancestor placed upon them so that they didn't betray him. And part of that curse allows the leader of the demon bloodline to know what had happened to their descendants. There is only one way that you could win the fight against them but it would take a miracle to find a demon that actually inherited the ancestral chains." The woman said once again this time a little quieter as she seemed distracted with her thoughts.
"So as long as I have the ancestral chains I can fight against them?" Haru smiled as he thought back to the white bone-shaped chain that Li Jun had given to him after Lao had killed the demon that followed him back into his soul ocean after being chased in the soul tempering grounds.
"Yeah, that is the only way you will be able to bargain with them. As long you destroy that you will take out the leader of the bloodline and the other members of the demon clan won't know what happened." The old woman explained.
But Haru had no intention to do that. From what he knew there were hundreds of billions if not trillions of demons that would be killed if he destroyed the ancestral chain. And just like with humans not all demons were bad people. It was just the really bad ones that ruined people's opinion of them. If he destroyed the ancestral chain he would also be killing billions of innocent demons and children too.
He wouldn't be able to live with that weighing down on him. And there was no evidence that the demons that were coming for him were from that certain bloodline. If they weren't then he would still die no matter the outcome. It would be better if his original plan worked out but there were too many unknown factors to know if it would work for certain.
"So can. You tell me how it is up there? Is it a full-scale war?" Haru asked once again trying to direct the subject away from the ancestral chains. He didn't want her to find out that he had one of them on him and was still worried about Jasper and Maya.

The Madec Legacy
The dawn of Emotion Based A.I.s is here, John is the fifth test subject to have an AI implemented in his brain, and so far the first one to survive. Blinded by the dream of immortality, the researchers push the tests to inhumane standards. John is obligated to take part in sessions of torture designed to test the limits of the AI influence over the physical and mental health. What was supposed to be a new beginning in life turns into living hell. An (un)lucky twist ends his life. John then reincarnates with his AI in a new world where a System influences the interaction between Magic and Matter. With seemingly limitless potential and a game-like system influencing the world, the hero sets on his journey. --AUTHOR NOTE, PLEASE READ-- I will state here my promises to you, potential reader: 1. No harem! I don't trust myself to make a harem feel natural or healthy, I never met any person who has a personality that can adapt and live in a harem for reasons that are not monetary, so I can't draw inspiration from real life. Sorry!; 2. The enemies will not be bland and illogically mean. Some may feel like that at first, but I will take great care in fleshing them out, trust me. You may end up hating some, but you won't be able to deny that they had their reasons for what they did; 3. I am using a paid (and expensive) automated editor tool, and I take longer to write because I take my time in editing the stuff. I am aiming to improve and I will not shy away from constructive criticism, nor take offense for no reason; 4. Characters will die and will suffer, some will get over the tragedies and improve, others will not be as resilient. 5. This novel has a lot of ground to cover, it is neither a short story, a manual on crafting, or the script of some action scene. There will be both time skips and oversimplifications of some actions for the sake of moving the story forward. Time skips will be more prominent in the first 30 chapters. I will describe crafting processes and fights with more detail if they are essential for the chapter; 6. If I took my time describing something, it's because it is important. I hate novels that waste time describing useless stuff. If you skim over something, the chances are that something in the future will not make sense. I am an adept of "Chekhov's gun" principle; 7. I already have 31k words on my auxiliary documents, I have a plan for the story, and I will not be making changes even if someone ends up noticing some foreshadowing and figures out what will happen. The story comes first. 8. I have a wife, a job that demands 9h every day and courses related to my job (lawyer) three days of the week, it's unlikely that I will be able to do mass releases at all. I will have a healthy amount of chapters to be able to post at least 1 chapter every day continually. Don't worry. 9. I will read all the comments. I will listen to all you have to say and will try my best to accommodate demands as long as they do not hamper the path I prepared. 10. There is an arc that spans the entire novel. Each volume will be an arc in itself while progressing a little bit of the main arc. Every arc will have one or more main antagonists. I think that's it! Thank you for reading it all. Have an awesome time reading my first novel!!

Can he regain his own body, and would he still want to when all is said and done? [The Story] What this story is: A LitRPG, portal-like, slow-moving story with a protagonist who has to balance crafting and 'magic' to survive. The books have a pre-thought-out plot and finish. Also, the world is harsh, and things don't always go the MC's way. What it is not: A drama, romance, grimdark, although these elements might appear. I've had some feedback that the intro seems to set up a very rough life for the MC. There is a reason for this, and I hope you give it a try beyond the first few chapters. Do note, this is not an unreasonably harsh novel.
