The Tale Of Three Sisters Chapter 190

The next day.
After breakfast, the men left the island and went to the lake. They brought the same rope with the intention to test again the deep of the water in there.
When they arrived at the lake, they were surprised to see flower-bearing plants growing magically all over the place, surrounding the lake.
"Wow... I can't believe it! Is this place going to be a park soon? Look at the water in the lake, it's getting clearer!" Jegun blurted out.
The rest of the men were dumbfounded.
Zemeth stared at the lake and looked at Jegun and Ramza. "I'm going to dive tomorrow in the lake," he finally said.
"I'll go with you, bro," Ramza said.
Jegun looked at the rope. "Let's now measure the deepness of the water," he said.
"Okay," Zemeth and Ramza replied in unison while holding the rope's end.
Agran tied the rope around the same elongated rock that they used yesterday and threw it into the lake.
The stone that was tied to the rope keeps falling past fifty meters already.
The men looked at each other in confusion.
"What the hell!?" Ramza said in shock as the rope was now on the last end.
"This is shocking, we already used the 100 meters rope! How far is the bottom then? It seemed the stone doesn't reach the bottom yet," Zemeth observed.
"Yes, indeed! We need to buy another set of 100 meters rope," Jegun suggested.
"No problem, I'll go to the market and buy another rope," Ramza said.
Zemeth tied the end of the rope around the trunk of the nearest tree, while Ramza teleported to the nearest market to buy more rope.
Agran, Jegun, and Zemeth observed the lake for a few minutes, very much intrigued by the current deepness of the water in the lake.
Jegun glanced at Zemeth. "Do you think the water will run much deeper tomorrow?" he asked.
Zemeth pondered the question for a moment. "There are only two answers I can give you, Grandpa. It's either it will run much deeper tomorrow or it will finally stop going downhill today," he answered. "Let's just wait for Ramza to come back, since the rock has not reached the bottom yet, I'm expecting it will be between 120 to 130 meters deep," he revealed his estimation.
"I'm just wondering why the water in this lake went deeper? What's in there? What's in the bottom? What is the surprise waiting for us down there?" Jegun said rubbing his chin in deep puzzlement.

"We will soon find out tomorrow," Zemeth replied.
Agran looked at Jegun. "Grandpa, maybe the remains of the destroyed castle and its inhabitants are settling down there... lying in the bottom? What do you think?"
"That's a silly guess, boy. We have already seen the castle burning into smithereens. But you could be right, anyway, let's find out what's in the bottom tomorrow," Jegun responded.
A few minutes later, Aspen arrived at the lake. "I went to the island first and found you here at last. Grandpa, what's the latest news about the lake, aside from the flowering plants magically growing around the lake?" he asked in an interested manner.
Jegun pointed at the rope tied around the trunk of the tree. "The lake already consumed 100 meters rope. Ramza went to the nearest market to buy more rope so that we can finally measure how deep the bottom is today," he answered.
Aspen was shaking his head, he found the mysterious lake truly mind-boggling. "Hmm, this is interesting!" he said while staring at the surface of the lake trying to peek at what's in the bottom.
Zemeth looked at Aspen. "Tomorrow I will dive into the bottom, do you want to go with me?" he asked.
Aspen nodded his head. "Yes, I will dive for Esmeralda and Ivy. Although there is a 99% chance that we might not be able to locate the coffins in the bottom but I'm willing to take that 1% chance," he said.
"Okay, guys, you dive to the bottom while I'll just wait here in the ground 'coz I can no longer hold my breath under 100 meters deep," Jegun said.
A few minutes later, Ramza arrived with the 100 meters rope he brought from the market. He emptied the two sacks containing 50 meters of rope each into the ground.
Zemeth holds the end of 50 meters rope and tied it securely on the other end of the rope that was tied around the trunk of the tree. The rope was moving down rapidly in free fall until it finally stops moving.
The men observed the movement of the rope for a few minutes. It's no longer moving, which means the rock that was tied with the end of the rope already stopped falling and it was anchored somewhere in solid ground.
"Oh, we finally hit the bottom!" Jegun said excitedly while looking at the rope.

Ramza measured the length of the rope.
"The rock hit another twenty meters more. Currently, this lake is measuring more or less 120 meters deep... down to the bottom," Ramza declared.
Zemeth nods his head and looked at Ramza and Aspen. "Let's measure it again tomorrow before we dive," he said.
"Okay," Ramza replied.
"I'm excited to see what's in the bottom!" Aspen responded.
The men stayed around the lake for the next three hours. They plan to buy more ropes just in case they will see the coffin at the bottom, they need longer ropes to tie the coffin securely so that it can be taken up to the surface quickly and efficiently.
The men lingered in the lake, their minds were preoccupied with their activity tomorrow.
A few minutes later.
Jegun and Agran finally decided to go back to the island, while Aspen, Ramza, and Zemeth remained in the area, studying the mysterious lake.
"I'm going back to the market to buy more ropes," Ramza said.
"I'm also going to the market, how about if I will be the one to buy the ropes 'coz I'm on my way there? I'll just come back later," Aspen volunteered.
"Okay," Ramza said. He handed some money to him.
Aspen accepted the money and teleports to the market.
A few minutes later after Aspen left, Ramza suggested something to Zemeth.
"Just in case, we can not find the coffin, the girls will be heartbroken and depressed. Maybe it's about time to bring her back into their lives so that they have someone to cheer them up when the sadness is unbearable," suggested Ramza.
Zemeth thinks about the suggestion for a few minutes. "Okay, since that it all come to this we might as well bring her back. I think it's now the right time to bring her. It's the least we can do for the girls," he finally agreed.
Ramza studied the lake, sporting a doubtful expression on his face. "How about you?"
"How about me?" asked Zemeth.
"Yeah, how about your heart? Did you already prepare your heart for the possibility that we may never find Ivy's coffin tomorrow? Your beloved woman together with Esmeralda both perished due to the burning flames that burn the castle down," Ramza said.
Zemeth nodded his head, his eyes glimmered with sadness. "Yes, after I saw what happened to the two women in the crystal ball, the chance of their escape is almost impossible, so I prefer not to hope anymore. I will deal with the pain my way. I just want closure, and diving to the bottom of the lake finding nothing will give me a proper closure. I have to accept the fact that I will never be able to see Ivy again in this lifetime. But I was thankful though, I was able to experience being loved in return by her. I guess our love story was never meant to last longer than it should," he said, teary-eyed.
Ramza pitied his buddy, seeing the sadness shimmering in Zemeth's eyes. "I'm sorry, bro. You and Ivy would make a great couple. Too bad, she died too early," he said feeling sorry for him.
Zemeth shrugged and smiled bitterly, remembering too well the sweet words he and Ivy told each other and their plans of getting married after they got out of the castle safely. It's all gone now, gone with the wind.
Ramza felt a bit guilty talking about Ivy. "I'm excited to dive the lake tomorrow! I'm going to dive for Esmeralda and Ivy. Finger crossed, I wish to see the two coffins at the bottom of the lake! Even though they might already be dead, we want to give them a proper burial and memorial," he said, trying to change their depressing topic.
Zemeth sighed. "Right now, that is also my wish - seeing the coffin so that we can mourn their passing properly."
A few minutes later, Aspen returned with two sacks of rope. "Is this enough?" he asked the men.
"Yes," Ramza answered.
Zemeth fished out the rope and the rock from the water and set aside the rock in the corner to be used for tomorrow. He began putting the rope back in the empty sacks. "Let's bring these back to the island, we can't leave them here," he said.
Aspen and Ramza helped him put the ropes in the remaining empty sack.
After they finished their task, Ramza and Zemeth left the lake, going back to the island, while Aspen went back to the mountain to check on the girls.
