The Tale Of Three Sisters Chapter 154

Nighttime.
The men were eating dinner on the island as they gathered around the table, discussing the castle and the monsters.
Bhork and Dredo were the ones currently stationed in the castle to monitor the place.
Simuz, Ogeme, Jegun, Ramza, Zemeth and Agran were interested to go the castle.
"We can visit the castle later. After one or two hours and nothing happens, we can return here and rest, then the others can replace Bhork and Dredo's place in the morning," Zemeth said.
"I'm going to the castle too and fight the monsters!" Agran said.
Jegun looked at him. "Sure...time to unleash the fire in you... for the good cause," he said.
Agran nodded his head. "For the good cause, of course!" he responded.
"So...what can you do, Agran?" asked Zemeth. "We are going to face fierce monster creatures who will bite our body parts without second thoughts. You need to have a weapon or something that can protect you against their attack. After the castle released the monsters, it will be a total rampage out there. We are going to be busy killing monsters, and we can't protect you," he said. "Why don't we just send you to the mountain in Immortal Vearah's place to accompany the girls while Esmeralda and Vearah are out, fighting alongside us," he suggested.
Agran smiled. "No problem with me. I don't mind babysitting the girls as long Ella is there," he grinned. "If you think I can serve the group better if I'm staying in the mountain I would be happy to do that. I can also kill monsters if needed. But staying by Ella's side is much better," he said nonchalantly.
Everyone around the table burst out laughing with Agran's last statement.
Jegun wrapped his arms around Agran. "Common lad, show them your skill!" he persuaded him.
Agran smiled. "Nah, I'm shy," he said, shaking his head.
Everyone laughed and roared. "Show us what you got, Agran!" they hollered over and over again.
"Grandpa...what should I do?" Agran groaned, scratching his head.
Jegun chuckled and grabbed Agran's arm. "Let's go outside and show them what you got, lad!" he said.
Agran sighed and followed Jegun outside.
Jegun brought the group outside at the back of the house. He looked at Agran and pointed at the nearest tree. "Can you give me the fruit of that tree, the one located at the top?"
"Easy!" Agran nodded his head. His feet rose from the ground and zoomed towards the tree, picking up the fruit at the top in a speed of light and hovered down, his feet finally touching the ground. He handed the fruit to Jegun. "Here's your fruit, Grandpa!" he said.

"Well done, boy! Common show us the juicy stuff! We believe that you have some hidden talents that can help us when slaying the monsters. Show us what you got!" Simuz challenged him.
Agran looked at his grandpa. "S-should I show them what I got, Grandpa?"
"Just... do it, son! So that we can go to the castle," Agran answered.
"Alright...!" Agran rose in the air and release the power in his hands, huge flames erupted from his palms, he hurled the flame into the nearest tree and the tree was engulfed by the fire. The next thing he does... blows everyone's mind...except Jegun.
The flame was still glowing in Agran's hands. He looked at the tree, suddenly, laser-like flames came out of his eyes, hitting the tree at lightning speed, cutting it in half. He switched his attention to the sea... his eyes blazing red as the fire came out from his eyes... he released a barrage of laser-like flames sending deadly flames into the water.
The men who witnessed the spectacular display of Agran's power erupted in cheers and amazement.
"Wow!"
"Amazing!"
"The boy's power is more than enough to fry the monsters!"
"I'm speechless! I can't believe Agran was hiding a deadly secret!"
"That's awesome, Agran! Well done! I will put you on the front line of our formation! Your power is much needed in the front line," Zemeth told him.
Jegun raised his head and called him out. "Son, enough of the demonstration! Let's leave now and go to the castle!" he said.
The flames in Agran's hands faded, the diabolic quality of his eyes returned to normal. He descended slowly taking his time, his feet finally landed on the ground.
"Let's go now, guys!" Zemeth announced. He opened the portal using his relic.
The neon portal opening appeared in front of them. The men marched towards the opening, a few seconds later, they all disappeared from the island along with the portal.
The men reappeared at the base of the hill.
The surrounding was tranquil, even the insects are unusually quiet tonight as if they were afraid to make even a tiny sound.
Jegun looked heavenward. There was a full moon tonight. The sky was dotted with a multitude of stars shining in the heavens above.
"Let's just camp here..." Ogeme said.
"Yes, but not in the open. Let's enter the forest and conceal our presence," Zemeth said.
The men walked towards the nearby trees and found Bhork and Dredo waiting for them behind the big trunk of the tree.
"Boys, did you notice anything unusual tonight?" Zemeth asked them.
"Nothing so far," Bhork replied.

"Let's wait in the next few hours..." Dredo responded.
They all climbed and settled themselves in the branches of the tree, waiting for something to happen.
One hour later.
Multitudes of bats flew above the castle, encircling it.
Jegun focused his attentions on the bats. "Looks like a sign to me..."
"A sign of what?" Ramza asked.
"Sign that the castle will release another batch of monsters tonight, just my hunch, I could be wrong," Jegun said.
Fifteen minutes later.
They heard the sound of something creaking coming out of nowhere. They all looked at the origin of the sound.
"Oh... lala...get ready... guys! Ready to ramble!" Ramza said as he saw the golden dagger cutting the blazing barrier.
"I'll go to the mountain and teleport to inform the ladies that the battle is about to begin," Jegun said and disappeared from their eyes.
Zemeth looked at his companions. "Guys...follow the formation we had agreed upon during our meeting," he said. He looked at Agran. "I want you on the front line together with Immortal Vearah. Kill as many monsters as you can! I will enter the castle and save Ivy, then retrieved the golden dagger. After I saved Ivy, I will bring her to the mountain to be with her sisters for safety, then I will come back here to help you slay the monsters," he told them.
"Copy!" the men replied in unison.
They all left the trees and flew in the air taking their position in the formation.
Agran hovered in the air twenty meters away from the opening. The rest of the men behind him were eyeing the opening with deep interest.
The part of the blazing barrier that was hit by the golden dagger crumbled into the ground. A few seconds later...the monsters can be seen rampaging out of the opening.
As soon they were near Agran's radar they were rained by flames severely burning their bodies, they were howling in pain. The rest was able to pass Agran's jurisdiction and was slaughtered by the Nephilim assassins waiting nearby.
It was an effective formation, it works as planned. Only a few monsters reached the last line of defense and were slaughtered easily by the Nephilim assassins.
Zemeth watched the battle unfolding in front of him. He looked at the opening and saw Ivy wearing a red dress. She was standing in the middle sandwiched between a woman wearing a black cloak, and a guy wearing the same clothing. That must be Maxwell - the vampire leader!
Zemeth's eyes were flashing with anger. "I'll kill you this time!" he said. He was about to enter the opening but was interrupted by the arrival of Esmeralda, Jegun, Aspen, and the Immortal Vearah.
He went to their side and addressed Esmeralda. "Granny, I'll try to snatch Ivy from the vampires! If I fail, you and Aspen can enter the castle. Once I got her, no need for anyone to enter the castle. As long I have her even if I can't retrieve the dagger it's good enough. The dagger is useless without Ivy's blood...therefore...they can no longer make an opening of the blazing barrier and unable to release monsters. Game over for them!" he said.
"Okay," Esmeralda answered.
Zemeth took a peek inside the opening and saw Ivy standing alone on the ground. The woman and the guy were nowhere to be seen. Perfect timing! He flew inside the opening in lightning speed and grabbed Ivy's right arm bringing her with him outside.
It was a quick rescue... simply flawless! Zemeth and Ivy hovered in the air.
Zemeth wondered why they leave Ivy alone?
Then his question was answered after he saw another opening nearby, a few meters away from where the first batch of monsters was released.
Damn!
They made another opening! He didn't expect it!
Multitudes of monsters rushed out of the recently made opening.
Esmeralda, Vearah, Jegun, and Aspen bolted towards the second opening to deal with the rampaging monsters coming out.
The first opening was starting to shut off.
Zemeth activated the teleportation process in his mind going to Immortal's Vearah's home at the top of the mountain.
He landed outside the house. He looked at Ivy. "My love, call out your sisters name... they will be happy to see you again. I need to come back quickly to the castle to fight the monsters," he explained.
Ivy nodded her head in understanding while looking at him with bright eyes.
"I understand, my love. Go now!" Ivy replied.
"Kate and Ella... your sister is here!" Zemeth shouted while knocking at the door. He planted a quick kiss on Ivy's forehead.
Suddenly, the door opened. Kate and Ella rushed out of the house and embraced their older sister.
"Sister!" Kate and Ella exclaimed in happiness.
"I miss you so much, girls! we're reunited finally!" Ivy gushes happily.
Finally, the three sisters were reunited at last! They hugged each other happily.
Zemeth smiled jovially while watching the sisters reunited happily at last! He left the mountain going back to the castle through teleportation. He was gone in seconds.
The sisters entered the house to have long chitchat.

Lone: The Wanderer [Dropped Version (includes original draft of the rewrite's first volume)]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer?
