The Tale Of Three Sisters Chapter 66

After talking to his brother, Maxwell went back to his room, took something from the drawer of his closet, and returned to Ivy's room. She should be awake by now and the poison will start attacking her body after ten days.
To make things merrier, he will give Kate a gift as well.
A few seconds later...he appeared inside Ivy's room.
Ivy was wide awake already, staring at her visitor who is also her abductor and tormentor.
Maxwell walked to her side and sat on the bed. "How are you feeling now, my dear?" he asked gently.
"I'm feeling fine. Your poison is not working," she smiled triumphantly.
Maxwell grinned in amusement and tucked the strand of hair behind her ears cause it's blocking her eyes and pretty face.
"Ah, that one...It will only take effect after ten days. So get ready...I will bring you anytime today to your sister's side. Prepare yourself, my dear," he ran his fingers on her arms tenderly.
He rose from the bed and stood up. He opened his palm and there appeared a small black pouch. "Dear, take a look at what's inside the pouch..." he urged her.
Ivy looked at the black pouch suspiciously. Despite her suspicions, she took a peek inside and saw a black pebble-like object. "A-are you going to add more poison to my body?" she asked in alarm, misty-eyed.
"No!" Maxwell was shaking his head vigorously. "This one is not for you. This is my gift to your sister Kate. If you have a hard time convincing your sister to come back here...then by all means used the object inside and dropped it in her mouth while she was sleeping. The black pebble will do the rest. That's how easy it is," he explained.
Ivy's face registered a frightened expression. "I-If my sister ingested it...what will happen to her?" she asked wanting to know if it's the same poison that she swallowed earlier.

"Hmm...this poison inside the black pouch is deadlier than the one you ingested. If Kate swallowed it, her body parts will stop functioning and within 24 hours, she will die. If she can't return here on time to get the antidote for the poison, she will die fro real and can no longer be resurrected. That is why, if you make your sister swallow it, make sure you already made up your mind and prepare for the consequences..." he said.
Ivy throws icy glares in his direction, her nostrils flaring in rage.
"Then I won't bring that with me! I won't give that poison to my sister! Why do you think I will agree to your madness!?" she glared at him feeling outraged with his evil intentions.
Maxwell was shaking his head accompanied by a soft chuckle. "Ah, my dear...sorry with my choice of words...don't worry your sister will be unconscious by then when the poison takes effect on her body. And when she is already dead...you will also die a few hours apart from each other," he said calmly as if he was just narrating a story.
Ivy throws daggers into Maxwell's eyes. "So, this is your plan! You are going to kill me and my sister!" she said furiously.
Maxwell released a deep sigh. "Wait for a moment...let me explain everything to you on what's going to happen after you and your sister died..."
Ivy gave him a cold shoulder. "I'm not going to listen to your evil plans! I will no longer cooperate with you. I won't kill my sister with your poison! You better kill me now than betray my sister!" she shouted angrily at him.
Maxwell sat back on the bed facing the irate woman. "Dear, don't be so stingy, don't judge me yet. Here comes the best thing... If the two of you will die in Esmeralda's arms, she will feel guilty, if she knows that I have the antidote, normally she will rush here with your dead bodies for the antidote. She has no choice but to surrender you girls in my care. After she left my place, I will give you girls the antidote and...voila!...your body will be restored to full health without any trace of poison in your blood!"

Ivy stared at his face...speechless!
The logic of his words slowly sinking in her mind, the brilliance of his plan is outstanding but also outright dangerous!
"Y-you are going to kill us first and you will resurrect us after?" she finally found her voice.
"Yeah, that's more like it. But if you can convince Kate to come with you then...there's no need to resort to that kind of tricks. This is just to ensure that my plan will work with or without your help, my dear," he explained and continue, "If you can convince Kate to come with you, just jump out of that floating land and my birds will catch you and your sister to safety. That's how easy it is...that's the Plan A...and if that plan A doesn't work... you know already the Plan B..." he winked at him.
"D-do I have any option left?" she asked in a small voice.
Maxwell shook his head. "I'm sorry dear...that's the only option left for you. And let me remind you that just in case Ella will come to this castle looking for you and Kate, she will come to the door first and my human slave will bring her directly to me. And when that time comes. You and your sisters will finally be reunited once again, and together we will resurrect my father and left this hideous place at last! Think about it...envision it in your mind the sweetest taste of freedom...just focus on the positive side and not on the negative side!"
Ivy closed her eyes, she was already imagining herself getting out of the castle and enjoying freedom again! She missed Ella and Aunt Margie, the village, and their little house! She can't wait to get out of this horrible castle!
She opened her eyes and looked at Maxwell. "Yes, I'm ready now to see my sister! Please take me to her!" she begged and grabbed the black pouch with her hand.
Maxwell smiled. "Alright my dear, get ready and I'll return later, okay?"
Ivy nods her head. "OK, I'll wait for your return," she said excitedly. The thoughts of seeing her sister again energized her mind.
"I'll take my leave now, you may rest for the time being," Maxwell said and disappeared from the room instantly.
Outside the secret chamber.
Maxwell was getting ready. He summoned the two black giant birds under his control and with just a click of his fingers he created a beautiful carriage fit for the King and Queen out of thin air.
The beautiful carriage was attached securely to the back of the birds by a silver pole on both ends.
Maxwell looked at his brothers who watched the spectacle on the sideline. "Do you think Ivy will like the carriage, guys?" he asked them.
"Yes, she's going to love it!" Xenon said.
"The carriage looks lovely and fantastic, brother!" Lothaire gushes.
"Alright, I will go now to the secret chamber to get my Queen," he grinned and disappeared from their view.
