The Side Character Turned Villainess Chapter 274

I ignored the horrifying images of those dying and forced myself to look forward. We fought throughout the halls as I led the group to where everyone was at. I blocked the swords that were thrown towards me. I struggled to breathe from the exertion as I pushed myself to keep attacking.
Eventually, the main door came into view. The guards had heard what they thought was clanging down the halls, but they were unable to figure out what it was since the sounds from the party drowned it out. Thanks to Gilyn's help and our quick attack, the soldiers who had fought us were unable to ring the alarm. Thus, the ones guarding the entrance to the ballroom were startled and unprepared when they saw a horde of people with swords drenched in blood.
They didn't have time to warn the partygoers before we charged forward attacking while leaving no survivors. I panted heavily as I looked to the Bandit Chief beside me. He gave a nod back to me with strong determination. I turned back towards the large wooden doors before me. The sound of music and laughter came into the hallway. Behind me were the faces of many angry men. All of them wanting to get revenge on the ones behind the door.
I took a deep breath.
Then kicked the large doors open.
The music and laughter came to an abrupt stop.
The time has finally come.
The Final Boss battle.
I led in my followers with a calm expression. They followed after me all itching to kill the nobles around us but waited for my signal. The Nobles quickly rushed away from the door and clumped together closer to the King. Contempt and fear were on all of their faces as they looked to us. I glanced around the room for Simon but couldn't see him anywhere.
Where did he go?! He is about to miss the best part!
I tsked and stared ahead at the King who was seated at the throne with an arrogant look while overlooking the party.
Guess I will just have to start without him.
I pointed my blade at the King, "The Sanki King has committed a grievous sin against his people. He took advantage of the peoples plight while he and the nobles were able to live in luxury. For turning his back on the Kingdom, he must pay with his life!"
The men cheered behind me as they thrust their bloody blades into the air. The nobles began to panic and look at each other in fear. You could hear them asking where the Royal Army was at.

Heh. They are either dead or on our side.
The King stood up and the room grew silent once more. He stared at me with dark sinister eyes. I felt myself break out into a cold sweat under that glare.
He truly was deserving of the title "The Final Boss".
His voice echoed off the walls in a menacing manner, "You dare challenge me?! What a joke! Here I thought my citizens were intelligent. Now I see just how foolish you all are! You were stupid enough to be tricked into following a noble girl from the Imperial Kingdom. Do you really think she wants to fight for your sake!? Her only desire is to sow discord among us to bring us down!"
My sword wavered once I heard the King declare my true identity in front of everyone. I hadn't planned on the King discovering my identity so easily, nor did I think he would use this as an opportunity to weaken their resolve. I could feel the men behind me look at each other as they began to question their willingness to follow me. They began to whisper to each other. I could feel my heartbeat quicken in a panic.
I am unprepared.
I am going to fail.
Dante is going to die.
All this work and suffering was for nothing.
The Bandit Chief turned to look at me, "What are your orders?"
I looked at him in surprise. He stared back into my eyes with undying resolve. I turned back to the men who had followed behind me. They all smiled and nodded in determination. They were still willing to follow me.
In the end, the power of the message was stronger than the one who led it.
I turned back to the King and shouted, "OFF WITH HIS HEAD!"
I have always wanted to say that. Hehe~
I charged forward.
What happened next was pure pandemonium. I knew that the civilians hated the nobles for looking down on them and forcing them to starve, but I did not think they would begin to slaughter the defenseless men and women without regard.
It was like a reenactment of Storming of the Bastille in the French Revolution.
They didn't care if the nobles had no weapons and were defenseless to their attacks. They cut off their heads while cheering in excitement. I could only ignore this ruthless slaughtering of lambs as I charged at the King. The Second Prince jumped out before I could get close to the King and swung his sword. I was knocked off balanced, but quickly recovered.

I may be weaker, but I was faster.
I dodged his attacks as the King watched the fight with cold eyes. The bandit Chief jumped in front of me and blocked his sword. He glared at the second Prince, "Your opponent is me."
The second Prince frowned and continued to fight with the Chief. I clutched my sword and advanced toward the King again. The first prince slunk backwards in fear. Unlike the others, he was never forced into battles because he was doted on too much.
As I attacked, the King effortlessly pulled out his sword and knocked my attack back. A loud clang echoed off the walls from the collision of our swords.
I was knocked backwards from the force.
The King looked at the third Prince, "Ensure the First Prince's safety. I'm going to take care of these vermin."
"Sh*t." I cursed as I recovered and watched the two Princes run away. I turned to my followers and shouted, "Don't let them get away!"
I heard the air swish and looked forward barely blocking the attack that was just directed towards me.
The King stepped towards me with a merciless look, "Pay attention little girl."
He threw his sword at me once more and I rushed to block his strike. My sword vibrated from the hit making my hand cramp in pain. I nearly dropped it from the agonizing sensation. I let out a gasp as I tried to force myself to ignore it.
The King only used one hand as he kept slashing at me with deadly precision. I was barely able to block his powerful attacks and couldn't gain the upper hand. I could see his attacks, but I wasn't fast enough to maneuver around them.
It took everything I had just to block his one-handed attacks.
Soon I was covered in superficial scars.
The King's laughter echoed in my ears as he continued his assault. As I began to sweat and breathe heavily, he didn't look tired in the slightest.
D*mn! He is just toying with me!
If only I had Dante here. He could surely win against this monster!
No…
Not even Dante was a match for the King. I called him the final boss too lightly.
He is more like the ultimate boss.
He swung his sword with even more power. I was forced back under his strong push. I stumbled but managed to catch myself. I watched as his sword came straight down. I hurried to put my sword in front of me. Our swords screeched as they hit.
He kept pressing down on my sword with a cold glint in his eyes. I felt myself tremble as I struggled to push back his sword to no avail. Even with both hands I was no match for his undeniable strength.
D*mn! Isn't he supposed to be older than me!? How can he be this strong?!
I can't land an attack.
I can barely block him.
Why had I thought this would be easy?!
I grit my teeth as I was slowly pushed down to my knees. His sword grew closer and closer to my face threatening to cut me in half indiscriminately. My own sword shook visibly as it tried to hold his back.
The King spoke, "Who helped you plan this?"
I spat at him in a strained voice, "No one you a**hole! I planned this of my own accord!"
He pressed down harder, "Why should I believe that? Tell me the mastermind and I won't let you die painfully."
I laughed maniacally, "You f*cking horse f*cker! Is it really so hard to believe that a girl tricked your simple a** licking mind!? Maybe you should have paid more attention in class rather than f*cking horses all day!"
He frowned, "I grow bored with child's play. It's time to end this."
With his free hand, he grabbed the second sword hanging from his waist.
D*mn! He's a dual sword yielder! There is no way I can block that without being sliced by the sword pushing down on me!
As I watched him swipe with his second sword, I squeezed my eyes shut preparing for the excruciating slice. However, it never came.
A dull clang rang out forcing my eyes to open.
I looked down in disbelief at the sword that was supposed to cut me in half.
Another sword firmly blocked the King's attack.
