The Side Character Turned Villainess Chapter 189

The man who contributed half of my genes died right before my grandfather's deadline was up. It was a shame he did not last longer.
I must have inherited my strong body from my mother.
Millie didn't hold back either. Now I got to see first hand just how much the so called monster controlled her. I would be lying if I said that she didn't make me uncomfortable. I thought my versions of torture was bad, but that made me seem like a sweet kitten compared to what Millie came up with.
Once he died, Millie was disheartened. She pouted, "Seri... I didn't mean to kill him so quickly... I wanted to play some more."
I wrinkled my nose as I looked at his lifeless corpse. Millie had taken his arms, his legs, another thing I won't mention, his eyes, his tongue, then even pierced his ear drums. All of his senses except the perception of pain was forcibly taken from him. It was so brutal and definitely a fate worse than death. He probably didn't even know that he was about to die when it happened.
Millie handed me something. I took it and raised an eyebrow, "What's this?"
It was a gold pin that had been on his chest. It had the symbol for the Earl's house on it. I hesitated while looking at it.
Millie spoke, "It's a trophy. I have one too."
I glanced up at her, "You know. You really shouldn't keep trophies. If anyone ever finds it on you, it will become evidence that will be used against you and be hard to dispute."
She shrugged, "Then hide it where no one will find it."
I nodded and decided to bury it where I buried my other secrets. In a graveyard far from town. Although many people thought it was bad to desecrate graves, I found burying my things there was probably the safest place. People were extremely superstitious here. Not even Simon would dare dig up a grave.
Don't worry, I would never desecrate a body or anything. I still treated it with respect in a way that wouldn't make the owner of the body too angry. However, there was one thing I came to realize; the dead don't really care what you do to them. They already died and moved on. Perhaps they also went to another world as I did.
Now I have to focus on the fact that my grandfather not only ignored what I asked, but did it in a way to seriously irk me. Once I returned back to school, I heard from Lucius, Artie, and Mathias that their fathers had attended a social gathering for the elite where my grandfather had been in attendance.
There, he openly discussed how much of a shame I was to the noble class and that my father's merchant blood ran too deep. He told the others that they must stand together and demand that the Queen and King do something drastic about my despicable behavior. If they didn't, then he feared I would bring down the Prince.
So, not only did he bad talk me, but he also created doubt about William's power to rule in the future. It made me want to act right away, but I knew I couldn't afford to act rashly. I must make sure he suffers until his very last breath. More importantly, I have to make sure my mother is there to see it.

I sat in the student council room mulling over the matter.
Lucius spoke quickly, "Don't worry Seri. My father stood up for you. He told that nasty old man not to court death."
Artie nodded as well, "My father also said something. Which is strange because he is usually a coward."
Mathias spoke quietly, "My father said something as well."
I smiled at them, "Well tell your fathers how thankful I am. And like always, my gratuity will be very beneficial to them."
They didn't fully understand what I meant, but they still would pass on the message to their fathers. Lucius muttered to himself, "I wonder why my father was so insistent I passed on that message..."
William slammed his fist on the table as he scrunched up his face in irritation, "I can't believe he is trying to bring me down with you."
My eyebrow twitched, "Oi. Shouldn't you be upset that he wants to bring down both of us? Not just yourself?"
William crossed his arms, "Hey. Even though the old man is going overboard on how he thinks you should be punished, it's not like what he is saying is necessarily a lie. You are actually going out and causing trouble without trying to hide it."
Oh, if only you knew about the trouble I was hiding.
I kicked his shin. He shouted as he held his leg, "Ouch! What was that for?!"
I glared at him, "What happened to that adorable little boy who was always so sweet and nice to me?"
Dante interrupted, "Adorable?"
I looked at him quickly and my angry face disappeared and was replaced by a bright smile. I reached over to him and began to pat his hand. I spoke in a childish voice, "Don't worry Dante. You're still the most adorable one here."
Dante pretended to be upset, "What about handsome?"
I nodded quickly, "You are the most handsome."
"And my strength?"
"The strongest! So strong you could take down anyone."
"Hmm... And my swordsmanship?"
I spoke with pride, "The best! No one can match your dexterity and flawless style!"
William scowled, "Alright. Enough smooth talking. What are we going to do about the situation?"
Millie spoke up, "You should do something quickly. It is obvious he chose this time to speak up now. He could pose a threat to your transition to becoming King." Millie was trying to remind William of the important timing, however coming from her it sounded like a sinister warning.
I frowned feeling a bit confused. "Wait, why would he choose right now to speak? What do you mean by important timing?"
Did she mean because of the deadline for my grandfather's decision? But that has already passed.
Millie giggled at my clueless expression, "Don't you know what will happen in a few months?"
I looked up, "Uh... A new school year will start?"
William clicked his tongue, "Yes. And before that?"
"Uhhhhh."
Dante answered, "William and I are graduating."
I choked, "Graduating?! Already?!"
William frowned, "We are in our final year already. It's common to enter our respective careers at this point for more hands on training."

Millie explained, "If Prince William receives criticism for protecting you at this point in time, it will put the King and Queen in a very delicate position. One noble's complaints can be ignored, but several high ranking nobles complaining and the King and Queen will be forced to punish you. Or else they risk a coup."
William snickered confidently, "Let them try a coup. I'd like to see what happens."
Simon suddenly flashed in my mind. I spoke quickly, "It won't come to that. I will not allow that old fart to ruin anything."
Millie tilted her head, "What do you plan to do?"
I threw my hands up in irritation, "They want a show? Then I will give them the grandest show they have ever seen."
I looked at Lucius, Artie, and Mathias, "Can you ask your fathers to give me a complete list of who was on the old fart's side, who was neutral, and who was against it?"
They nodded quickly. Lucius forced himself chuckled lightly, "Actually... I am pretty sure my father has already made that list..."
Artie glanced at him, "Wow. Your father is really trying hard to please Seri."
Lucius's face grew dark, "You have no idea..."
...A few days later...
I received the complete list from Lucius's father and handed it off to my birdies. Since these old men want a show then I am more than happy to give them one.
Bertram handed me a note, "You received this."
I frowned at it, "Who would send me an unofficial letter like this?"
There was no name on the cover and no stamp. I hesitantly opened the envelope and pulled out the letter. As I read it, I scowled.
Bertram looked at me in concern when he noticed my facial expression change. "Who is it from?"
I clicked my tongue, "This old geezer really wants to die." I put away the letter and started walking, "He is trying to lure me into a trap."
Bertram glanced at me while following close behind, "What do you plan to do?"
"I'm going to use the trap against him. I will just get my boyfriend to beat him up."
I handed Bertram the note and he frowned while reading it, "How do you know this is from your grandfather? There's nothing identifying the writer."
"It smells just like him." I wrinkled my nose, "There's no mistaking that old man smell."
Bertram leaned forward and sniffed it with a puzzled face. He nodded as if he understood something, "I see..."
I paused, "...Bertam. I was joking."
"...Oh."
_____
I rode in a carriage with Dante and Millie while Bertram drove us to the location mentioned in the letter. It was a small house in a nearby town. It was located in an isolated and dense forest area with no nearby neighbors. Essentially, it was the perfect place to be ambushed.
However, I just so happened to have two of the most deadly people in the kingdom located in my carriage. There was no way I would be afraid of a few people laying in wait.
I sat breathing in the air from the opened window with my eyes closed. Dante sat next to me and continued to poke my cheek with an expressionless face. Millie sat across from us grinding her teeth while stabbing the carriage seat viciously.
These two will be the death of me.
I felt the carriage stop and looked out the window. I slapped away Dante's playful hand and stuck my head out of the window. "What is it Bertram?"
He answered calmly, "Something's wrong."
Dante immediately grabbed his sword and left the carriage. A wicked smile crossed Millie's face as she rushed out to follow. I sighed and walked out as well. I made a mental note to make sure to stay out of the splash zone.
Bertram jumped down and produced a sword as well. His instincts had been right. On the road that led to the house, several men wearing all black appeared and surrounded us. They clenched their swords as they looked at the four in front of them.
I silently counted. Wow! 18 cannon fodder have appeared.
As the men charged, I regretted not bringing popcorn to watch the magnificent show. The three began to fight off the group of men, each one displaying their prowess.
Bertram with his sheer strength used his sword to knock the enemy's sword out of their hand before he impaled them.
Millie flung her needles, striking the men right above their hearts. As they froze from the numbing sensation, she laughed maniacally as she used her small twisted knife to slash their throats.
Dante remained expressionless as he chopped them down with flawless well planned attacks. He didn't even bat an eye as they collapsed into a bloody heap.
I watched them fight feeling a bit impressed. Although they all hate each other, they also seem to work really well together. As I watched them, I saw someone slowly emerge from the dense trees. My eyes widened as I caught sight of a man with tan skin and dark hair.
He quickly disappeared in the trees.
As if I were possessed by something, I quickly ran after him. I left behind the three clueless fighters who were too focused on murdering to realize I just disappeared.
I chased the tan skinned man and found myself in a clearing. I looked around and noticed a small shed. When I walked over to it, I flung the door open.
"Hah! Got you!"
I frowned, "Hey... Where'd you go..."
The shed turned out to be an old outhouse, and although it was disgusting, there was absolutely no one inside. I tapped my chin as I thought. I definitely thought I saw him come this way...
I turned around and froze at the sight of a small metal barrel pointed at me.
I may be a modern girl, but even I can recognize an antique gun.
