The Side Character Turned Villainess Chapter 173

I muttered to myself while stabbing the papers in front of me with a pen. Everyone watched me feeling a bit unnerved by my actions.
Lucius spoke, "Is anyone else terrified?"
"Yes." They all said simultaneously.
I didn't care enough to speak. William spoke, "Is she still not talking to Millie?"
Mary shook her head, "She's not."
William looked surprised, "Wow. How long has it been?"
I muttered, "Two weeks... Three days... six hours... nine minutes..." I added, "But it's not like I'm counting."
William's face twitched in response. He looked at the others, "This is bad."
Mary sighed, "If you think Seri looks bad, you should see Millie."
Artie nodded, "She looks fine on the outside, but it's all just a front. She extremely terrifying now."
William raised an eyebrow, "Hasn't she always been?"
Artie shook his head, "It's worse. I tried speaking to her one day and she just smiled at me with that creepy grin of hers. She didn't say a word... She only stared..."
Mary shivered, "I saw her standing behind a pillar staring at me with a scary smile. Every time I turn around, she's there... Watching..."
Dante spoke indifferently, "I saw her outside my window one night."
William looked at Seri, "Seri. You have to make up with Millie. Now. Our lives depend on it."
I frowned, "No. Not until she tells me the truth."
William sighed as I stabbed my paper some more. We continued doing our work until it was time to leave. William stopped me before I left, "Seri. What about we go to a few dessert shops tomorrow?"
I glanced up, "Dessert?"
He nodded, "You have been moping around so much, I thought it would cheer you up. Getting out will be good for you."
I nodded, "Yes. I suppose we could do that." I giggled, "I could never turn down free dessert."
He frowned, "Who said I was paying?"
"Me." I made a pitiful expression, "Unless you don't want to cheer me up?"
He rolled his eyes, "Fine. Fine."
I added, "You should also buy me a meal."
"You're a monster."
...
The next day I got dressed and ready to go out to stuff my face full of food. I whistled as I opened the door. I saw Mary stand by the window, looking out. I frowned, "What are you doing?"
"It's strange..."
"What's strange?"
"Millie's not outside our window this morning."
My face twitched, "How is that strange? Wouldn't it be more strange to see her outside our window?"
Mary shrugged, "Maybe..."
"Well, you have fun staring out the window. I'm going to go eat and drink a bunch of food."
She smiled at me, "Can I come?"
"No." I slammed the door on her face and walked down the hall.
I met up with William and saw Dante standing next to him. "Oh, Dante's here too?"
William nodded with a serious expression, "Of course. Do you think I would come alone with Millie creeping around?"
I frowned, "She's not creeping around. You're overexaggerating."
As I walked away, Dante and William glanced at each other. William muttered, "She's definitely creeping around."
Dante nodded in agreement.
We arrived at the restaurant and asked for a private room. I looked out of the window in the private room and noticed two Knights hiding in disguise. I frowned, "You still go out with other Knights? Isn't Dante enough?"

William and Dante sat down and removed their hoods that they had used to come to the restaurant incognito. I can't believe that actually works for them.
William spoke, "I have to come with them or else my parents would be worried."
I stuck out my tongue, "Coward."
He frowned, "If I'm a coward, so are you. You also have Bertram follow you everywhere."
I forced a smile, "I only have him follow me because I always have. Plus, he's most likely sleeping instead of guarding me right now."
Dante opened the door a bit and noticed Bertram sitting at a table in the corner sleeping. He shut the door with a scowl, "He's sleeping."
William nearly fell over, "Isn't he supposed to be your bodyguard?"
I shrugged, "Eh, he's more like an errand boy now."
William raised an eyebrow, "An errand boy? For what? Getting you food?"
My eye twitched, "No." Then I recalled how I have been having him deliver me meals recently. "Maybe."
I sat down, "But why do you even have those worthless Knights follow you? I can easily point them out."
William frowned, "That's because you have strangely good observational skills."
I smiled, "Thank you."
He rolled his eyes, "Anyway, I doubt anyone else could discover them."
Oh... I wouldn't be too sure. They certainly aren't the definition of stealth.
Dante spoke calmly, "I'm enough."
I frowned at his confidence, "Well aren't you arrogant."
He looked at me indifferently, "Has anyone ever been able to defeat me?"
"...Good point."
Yeah, Dante definitely deserves that arrogance of his.
I pulled out the menu, "Well anyway. Since William is paying I'm definitely going to order everything on the menu."
William frowned, "Please don't."
"What? Why are you so worried? You're rich."
"So are you."
I smirked, "Well I'm not the one who is paying today."
The waiter came in and I turned to her, "I'd like everything on the menu please."
"Uh...."
I continued, "And bring out three of every cake."
She nodded, "Oh, I see. You're ordering for everyone."
I looked at her innocently, "No, I'm not."
Her face twitched. Then she shrugged and muttered, "Oh well. Not my money."
After Dante and William ordered, she left and came back with our drinks. I sipped on my bubbly wine with a smile on my face. William sighed, "I'm glad you're happier now, but do you really have to drink alcohol? It's lunchtime..."
"Mimosas are perfect for brunch. Everyone knows that."
He sighed, "But you were the one who created Mimosas..."
I nodded, "Exactly. That's why mimosas are perfect."
Dante chuckled, "I wonder how you came up with the idea for mimosas."
I glared at his smug grin. He knew exactly that I had stolen the idea from my other world. I pushed my mimosa to him, "Since you're so sassy, you now have to drink my mimosa."
He shrugged as he took a sip. Williams mouth dropped, "Y-You! Y-You two!"
I looked at him in confusion, "What?"
He pointed at the drink glass, "I-Indirect kiss!"
I burst out in laughter. I chuckled as I looked at William, "William..."
He blushed as he frowned from being laughed at, "What."
"You're such a virgin."
He turned even redder, "What!? W-Why! You! UGH!" He shouted in embarrassment, "You're a virgin too!"
My mouth opened to deny it, but I paused. Sh*t. I am a virgin.

Dante glanced at me and raised an eyebrow. He sipped on the drink.
I tossed my hair, "A maiden is supposed to be a virgin. There's no shame in me being a virgin, unlike you."
William glared, "That's a double standard."
I shrugged, "I don't make the rules."
The waiter came in and handed out the plates. She had someone else bring in another table to the room so she could place the rest of my order on it. I licked my lips as I looked at it. Once the waiters left the room, William spoke. "I doubt you'll even be able to finish half of that."
I smirked, "Want to make a bet?"
"Sure. What's the bet?"
"If I eat it all, then you'll have to buy me more food another day."
"Fine. But if I win you have to buy me 10 meals."
I frowned, "Why 10 meals?!"
He pointed at the food, "Isn't that 10 meals?"
"Fine. You're on."
The two boys watched in horror as I devoured the food before me. They slowly ate their meals as the watched me eat the food entirely. William whispered, "Where does it go?"
Dante's face was serious, "Another dimension."
I put a piece of pie in my mouth and glanced outside. I furrowed my brows, "That's weird... The Knights disappeared." I looked back to the other two and noticed their eyes fluttering shut as their heads bobbed. "Uh... Guys?"
William faceplanted onto the table. I gasped and shook him. He was sleeping soundly, but not hurt otherwise. I breathed in relief once I saw that he was okay. I looked at Dante who was trying to fight the sleepiness.
He managed to mutter, "Food... Poisoned..."
He then collapsed. I looked at the two in a panic. Since when has there been a poison that the two of them couldn't handle!? Wasn't that the entire point behind the poison training we endured as children?!
And why wasn't I fainting?
The door opened slightly and something was tossed in. I looked at it and the canister burst open. Smoke poured out quickly spreading throughout the room. I breathed in it. What kind of smoke is this?! I've never smelt anything like it before!
I coughed as I struggled to get to the window. My eyesight was failing and I could feel myself begin to pass out. I coughed out, "Ber...tram!"
I fell to my knees and fainted.
_______
My eyes fluttered open as I looked around in confusion. I rubbed my eyes and remembered how I was in a restaurant just a second ago. What exactly happened?
I looked around and noticed I was in a cold dungeon. Three of the walls around me were completely made of brick. Then I noticed prison bars in front of me. I was stuck in a prison cell. There was no light and only a faint firelight. It was cold and eerie. I could tell we were underground.
I gulped, "D-Dungeon...."
I knew it. Dante dragged me to his dungeon... Wait. Didn't he also faint? Maybe it was all just a ruse?
I looked around the cell and noticed a fluffy bed and a nice pillow. I frowned when I saw rose petals strewn along the bed. I clicked my tongue, "Well that's not creepy one bit. I definitely need to get out of here."
I stood up and heard something clang. I looked down and noticed that one of my legs were chained to the floor. I looked at it and noticed it had a key hole on it. I reached into my hair and pulled out a pin. I used it on the lock and it quickly opened it up.
I chuckled, "Lock picking is so easy in this era."
I released my leg and moved to the prison cell door. I worked on the door with my ear pressed on it. I heard it click and I opened the door. I poked my head out and looked around, but I couldn't see a thing. I heard water drip from the ceiling and onto the ground. It was incredibly dark and clammy.
I gulped as I hesitantly walked down the hall. My heels clicked, echoing off the walls. I sang to myself to try to calm down. I noticed a candle on the wall and I grabbed it without a second thought. I held it out, but it didn't provide much light.
I heard a groan beside me. I jumped, "EEK! Ghost!"
"Not... A... Ghost..."
I squinted into the darkness as I held the light out, "William?"
I noticed him in a prison cell behind bars as I had been. However, his cell was much worse then mine was. Okay unless Dante is extremely kinky, I doubt he would also imprison William.
William rubbed his head, "What's happening?"
"It appears we've been kidnapped."
"How did you get out then?"
I pulled a pin out of my hair and stated plainly, "Bobby pin."
I worked on his door lock and opened it. I then went to his shackles and quickly unlocked him. He watched me in surprise, "How are you so good at this?!"
"Uh... It's a hobby."
"A hobby... Really?"
I stood up and helped him up. I spoke, "Alright. Let's figure out how to get out of here."
As we walked down the hall, we clung to each other closely. William whispered glancing around anxiously, "I'm not scared."
I gulped glancing around, "I'm not scared either."
Another groan echoed. We both jumped and screamed simultaneously, "G-GHOST!"
"It's me."
I peered through the darkness and held out the candle, "Dante?"
Golden eyes reflected in the flamelight. For some reason, whoever chained us up decided to chain Dante's legs and arms. I handed the candle to William and quickly unlocked Dante's door and shackles. He stood up rubbing his wrist.
I frowned, "Okay, now I'm pretty sure we aren't in Dante's dungeon."
Dante frowned, "I don't have a dungeon."
"Oh." I said with a hint of surprise.
"Yet."
I wrinkled my face in worry, "Oh."
William spoke glancing around nervously, "Let's get out quickly. This place is seriously creepy."
As we walked, William and I held on to Dante as he led the way with the candle. William whispered, "Just who do you think kidnapped us? Was it someone we know?!"
I gulped, "Uh... It's probably the person holding a knife to my throat right now."
They spun around just now realizing I was no longer clinging to Dante. I was too startled to scream when a sudden hand reached out and grabbed me. Whoever it was had quickly pulled me back and held a sharp knife to my throat.
Dante held the light out. Their eyes widened in disbelief when they saw the familiar face.
Malicious laughter echoed in my ear, "Did you really think you could escape me?!"
My mouth dropped, "M-Millie?!"
