The Side Character Turned Villainess Chapter 25

William excused himself and went over to attend to his guests. It must be tiring to be the host of such a large event. Heh. Oh well. Guess I can go grab some cake while no one's looking.

I went to slink off but felt myself be pulled back. Lona glared at me, "No cake."

"Oh come on Lona!"

"No. You need to behave yourself today."

"Why's that?"

She looked irritated, "Because very important people are here. If you embarrass yourself it will look bad on your family." She looked over at Dante and Millie, "Can you control her while I go put these gifts up?"

They both nodded. Dante smiled at Lona, "We will try our best."

She sighed, "I guess that's all I can hope for."

I watched her walk away and snickered. Like hell these two can stop me. As I tried to slink away, this time I was held back by Dante.

"Oi! Let go! I want some cake!"

He spun me around and grabbed my hands. I froze under his icy stare. I just can't relax around this kid.

He spoke in a cold voice, "Your hands are hurt."

"Y-yes." Was that a question?

"Why would you do something to hurt them? What if they scar?"

I shrugged, "Then I will have scars."

He muttered, "Women shouldn't have scars."

I huffed in irritation, "I hate this double standard sh*t. Scars are beautiful on both men and women. Plus, if I have scars then people will think I'm scary right?"

He looked at me with a hint of confusion, "I guess so."

I nodded firmly, "Then they will know not to f*ck with me."

He sighed, "Maybe so, but it will be hard for you to get married."

I rolled my eyes, "Why would I want to be forced into a marriage anyways?"

He ignored me and looked closely at my hands, "Still. I can't believe you went through so much trouble for him."

I tilted my head trying to look into his eyes, "Are you perhaps jealous?"

He dropped my hands instantly, "No."

Oh sh*t. He is. First my father and now him? Why am I surrounded by idiots??

I sighed, "Don't worry. I will make you something too. Wait a second. When is your birthday?"

"It's some time during the winter."

I nodded, "That makes sense."

His smile twitched, "What does that mean?"

Well it's because of your icy cold attitude. However, since I value my life I can't outright say that.

I smiled at him innocently, "It's because you are as beautiful as a snowflake."

He continued to stare at me with those cold eyes that sent shivers down my spine. "Alright, sure."

"Anyway, what day is it exactly?"

He shrugged, "I don't know."

I paused, "What do you mean you don't know?"

He gave a fake smile, "I mean that I don't know."

I must have asked something personal. Now I can't speak due to this awkward atmosphere. I cleared my throat and looked at Millie, "What about you? When's your birthday?"

"It was three months ago."

"What?!" I shouted causing them to flinch, "How come you didn't invite us to your party?"

She looked down sheepishly, "Well, that's because my family doesn't have as high social standing as everyone else. My family is the lowest tier of the noble class. We don't have much money to have such extravagant events."

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. That's exactly why she was such an easy target for Ilene in the novel. But wait a second, isn't my family part of the lowest noble class too?

I pointed at myself, "But what about me? My family doesn't have a higher standing."

Dante glanced at me, "You really don't listen to rumors do you?"

"Huh? Did something happen?"

He sighed, "Ever since you gained Queen Luna's affection, she started doing business with your father. Because of that your family rose up in the noble class. Why do you think everyone is saying that your family bribed it's way up?"

"What? Who has been saying that?"

Those b*tches.

Millie gave a weak smile, "Don't be too angry. We all know your family didn't bribe anyone."

Well I would be lying if I said I was upset by this. As long as something isn't directly affecting my life, I could care less.

I looked at her, "Millie. You should know that I don't give two sh*ts about what social class everyone is in. So next time, you'd better invite me over or else I will be pissed."

Wait, why do I care so much about this? Perhaps I have gotten too friendly with these children. No, there's no way. I'm an adult and these are kids. I'm sure it's just because I wasn't included in something. Yeah, it's got to be that.

She gave me a small smile, "Well, if you're that upset perhaps you would like to come visit sometime?"

"That would be great. Unfortunately I only have one day off because of this tyrant-"

Dante glared at me, "Tyrant?"

I ignored him, "So we will have to set up something around my busy schedule."

She nodded happily, "I don't mind. It would be an honor to have you over."

"Fufu. Yes, I'm sure anyone would be happy to have me over."

I heard an annoying voice behind me, "Oh, look. A rat found its way into the party."

I turned to see Ilene and her goons grinning at me. I frowned. When did they get here?

Mel spoke beside her, "That's not right, Ilene. You're insulting rats by saying that."

Ilene chuckled, "I suppose you're right. She's more like trash. Why in the world would you be here? Don't you know this is an event for high class only?"

I glanced at Dante who had looked away uncaring, but it was obvious he was annoyed by their presence. While Millie seemed to be frightened and looking down uncomfortably.

If you all hate her so much, why do you put up with her bullshit?

I looked back at her with bored eyes, "I came because I was personally invited by William. Weren't you as well? Oh yeah. That's right. You only were invited because they had no choice."

Her face flushed with anger, "How dare you. You think you can just bribe your way into our circle?"

I sighed and made a shooing motion with my hands, "I don't really care about your circle. Now go away. You're killing the mood."

I heard her growl in anger and grab a large glass of red juice from a passing servant. She tossed it at me. I tensed up as I felt it splash covering my head and part of my clothes.

I felt anger rise in my chest like a phoenix.

"Did you... Just get me... Sticky?"

The next moment I blacked out. When I came back to, I was on top of her shoving dirt into her face as she cried trying to push me off.

I screamed, "YOU MOTHAF*CKIN B*TCH A** *** ****** ****!" (censored for your protection) "YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST F*CKING GET ME STICKY B*TCH A**! HOW DO YOU LIKE DIRT IN YOUR F*CKING FACE? HUH?!"

I felt her goons try to pull me off and I smacked them away. Then I felt myself get pulled off by Dante. I continued to kick and scream trying to still get at her. However, Dante was able to hold me back.

Dante shouted at me as he dragged me away, "Calm down! What are you doing?!"

"I'm gunna kill that b*tch!"

"Why?! I've never seen you this angry before!!"

"Because her b*tch a** got me sticky!"

Once we were far away he released me and grabbed onto my hands. I continued to huff in anger. He looked at me unamused, "Sticky? What are you even talking about?"

Okay, it's embarrassing to admit this. But ever since I was a child, I've always hated being sticky. It was even more irritating when I couldn't wash it off. Because of this, I can go 0 to 100 real quick. I guess you could say it's my one weakness.

"I don't like being sticky, Dante."

He chuckled, "Alright, alright. Well, let me show you to the bath house. I will find you new clothes so that way you aren't angry anymore."

He held my hand as he led the way. I grumbled under my breath, trying to keep myself calm. He led me to a huge room and called the servants over, "Can you prepare a bath and new clothes for her?"

The maid nodded, "Yes."

I was lead into the room by the maid. I looked back at Dante. He smiled, "I will wait out here for you."

As I walked into the bath house I was surprised to see such a large body of water. This looks more like a pool than a bath tub.

The maid bowed at me, "I've finished preparing the bath. I have laid out some towels for you. I will let you know when I come back with a change of clothes."

I nodded, "Alright. Thank you!" As soon as she left I jumped into the water. I sunk to the bottom and came back up, "Woohoo! This is awesome!"

Dante stood on the other side of the door and chuckled, "You're being too loud. Are you a child?"

"Nope! I'm 26!"

I continued to swim laps in the tub, "Wow! If I would have known this existed I would have done this sooner!"

"Well I'm glad you're not angry anymore."

I started humming. Who could be angry in such a lavish bath house?

The maid came back down and gave Dante a change of clothes. He placed them in front of the door, "Alright. I left your change of clothes by the door. I will be waiting down the hall."

I quickly jumped out of the bath and threw on a bath robe. I tossed open the door and saw the surprised Dante jump. He covered his face quickly, "Ahh!!! What are you doing!?"

I looked at him in confusion, "What do you mean? I'm here to get my clothes from you."

"B-but why are you naked?!"

I blinked still confusion, "I'm not naked. I'm wearing a bath robe."

He turned away quickly, "Ahh! Just go back inside!"

I forgot that people in this world have different standards of naked. In my home world, I would always wear booty shorts. It's one of the reasons why I feel so uncomfortable in this world. They make you wear so many layers of clothing.

I gave a sly smile, "What's wrong with you? Are you this excited just because you saw my legs?"

"Shut up! Just go back inside and change already!"

I laughed and went back inside.

He added, "And dry off properly!"

"I'm surprised Dante. I didn't think you were this serious."

I finished changing and walked back out. I looked at Dante who still had a flushed appearance.

"Don't freak out. I have clothes on."

He sighed, "Good. You need to be more aware. Your actions have consequences you know."

I shrugged, "I'm not worried. I will deal with that when it happens."

"Your overconfidence is astounding."

"It's not overconfidence if it's true."

He shook his head, "Whatever. So have you calmed down about the Ilene situation?"

"Calmed down? Oh hell no. That b*tch needs to learn her place. I'm going to destroy her and her family."

He smiled, "Do you want my help?"

I paused and looked at him. This entire time I've looked at him as if he was an evil demon. I never thought about having him on my side. That's what they call a power couple right? (it's not)

A sinister smile crossed my face, "That sounds perfect. From this day forward, we will be partners in crime."
