Chronicles Of The Shura Clan Chapter 223

Being released from Ling Chen's clutch, the Sun Demi-God felt as though she had just escaped from the jaw of death as she breathed a sigh of relief.
She really thought that she was going to die. The little devil somehow sealed all of her power the moment he clutched her neck. She had no idea how he did not. She only felt mysterious energy invaded her body from his fingers and her entire cultivation was sealed.
She was horrified by that sudden change. She was already a Demi-God rank expert, yet she was completely powerless before him as her cultivation was completely sealed and was raised into the air by the neck like a straw bag.
'Don't tell me he has already reached that stage.' Inwardly thought the Sun Demi-God as she felt her entire body become slowly drenched in a cold sweat. It was the only explanation she could come up with to explain Ling Chen's overwhelming strength.
At the same time, she also felt a little indignant and angry after being thrown away like trash by the little devil. To make matter worse, he even had a disinterested expression on his face.
She didn't know whether this anger stemmed from embarrassment or shame because there were countless overwhelming emotions running rampant in her heart at the moment.
In the end, she could only bitterly smile. No matter how noble and powerful she was, it was impossible for her to remain calm.
Though she didn't really care that much about her external appearances, she was extremely confident in her charm as well as her stunning look.
With her peerless features and power, she was considered as the most powerful and beautiful woman in the whole Great Luo World. Not to mention she was also the only female Demi-God in this contemporary time.

Almost all the Demi-Gods were trying to woo her and conquer her, let alone the other powerful Martial Saints. And many peak Martial Saints experts also sworn allegiance to her just because of her beauty.
To them, she was like the ultimate prize, and her gaining her attention would be like the biggest harvest of their lives.
However, Ling Chen's action had now somehow shattered it all. It was like her beauty meant nothing to him. To make matter worse, it was her first time trying to use her beauty and illusion to get something from someone after breaking through the Demi-God rank.
After killing Thunder Demi-God Ye, she wasn't confident in being Ling Chen's opponent which was why she used such degraded tactics. Yet, it was a total failure, a disaster.
"I am still waiting." Coldly uttered Ling Chen as he was looking at the Sun Demi-God with his cold and emotionless eyes.
Though this might seem a great feat in the eyes of many people, Ling Chen didn't feel the least bit surprise and proud being able to easily suppress the Sun Demi-God.
Ever since he knew about the nature of his power, he already knew that his growth was limitless and his path was bound to be Heaven-defying.
Upon hearing Ling Chen's cold voice, the horrified Sun Demi-God that was lost in a daze by the sudden turn of the event suddenly jolted awake.
"Just like the name implies, you are a Fateless entity." Said the Sun Demi-God said after regained her bearing.
And without waiting for Ling Chen to say anything, she continued to explain." There's a virtual river in this world also known as River of Destiny, which is one of the cores of this world."
"From the moment a person was born, his or her life experience, destiny will be branded and recorded in the River of Destiny. In fact, not just human beings, whether it's demon beasts or even the smallest insects are also recorded in the River of Destiny."

"No one can really predict one's destiny or see it. Within the River of Destiny, everyone's fate is fixed, and only by breaking through the legendary Martial God rank one could jump out of the River of Destiny and truly master one's destiny."
"However, you are different. You are an independent existence. Your existence isn't recorded in this world's River of Destiny."
Upon hearing the Sun Demi-God's explanation, Ling Chen simply nodded and didn't look that much surprise. Even though he didn't have all this information, he somehow came up with that conclusion long ago. And now, the Sun Demi-God somehow confirmed what he was thinking all along.
"If you guys can jump out the River of Destiny once you break through the so-called Martial God Realm, I don't see the reason why I am that special. Sooner or later, you'll also become a fateless entity." Ling Chen said.
"What you said makes sense. However, it's not the same thing. No one can truly escape the River of Destiny or the shackles of fate."
"Even if one were to break through the Martial God rank and escape from this world's River of Destiny, one's destiny is still recorded in a larger River of Destiny. Just like us, even this world has its existence recorded in some sort of larger River of Destiny including all living being within.
"The world itself is kinda like a living entity. Just like it was born or created, it would also die just like any living beings."
"To put it in a simple term, we are like fish in a small pool and breaking though the Martial God Realm means that we are able to break away from this small pool and jump into a lake, then into a river, etc."
"However, no matter where the fish goes, it will always be shackled by water which is like the River of Destiny."
"But you, you are somehow different from the rest of us. Your existence not only is not recorded in this world's River of Destiny, it's not even recorded in that person's world River of Destiny which is why that person is extremely interested in you."
When the Sun Demi-God mentioned that person, Ling Chen's eyes suddenly brighten as he abruptly asked." Who is that person you are referring to?"
Upon hearing Ling Chen's question, the Sun Demi-God's lips suddenly curved upward into a mysterious smile as she slowly said." He is the person that every single human being in this world revere as the savior of the human race, aside from us Demi-Gods, the Great Luo Martial God."

Ursus Ex Machina
Ozzy was a man of the wild. Raised in a remote village atop the world's mightiest mountain, he'd been taught to respect and revere the natural world. The realm he was born into had been there long before him, and it would remain there long after him. Sure, there was the occasional madman who threatened to destroy it, but such boasts were always empty. No one individual was actually capable of demolishing this beautiful blue-and-green ball Ozzy called home. No matter what terrible magics these villains wielded, they were incapable of causing permanent harm to the environment. Even if the planet was completely devastated, it would recover. Life would find a way to flourish, same as it always had. That was what Ozzy believed from the bottom of his heart, so he never once felt the need to save the world he loved. After all, it was never truly in danger. The world would be fine no matter what. The people were a wee bit endangered, but that was another story altogether. However, what would happen if Ozzy suddenly found himself devoid of his beloved wilds? What would the man do if the realm he knew - one of wonder, magic, and chaos - was replaced with a man-made environment of concrete, industry, and steam? Ozzy could never imagine such a thing happening, and yet that was his new reality. After losing a fateful confrontation with a mad wizard, he and his friends found themselves transported to a strange world so thoroughly alien that every waking moment feels like a fever dream. Separated and scattered to the four corners of this land, each of these adventurers will need to adapt, survive, and overcome if they hope to reunite. They would also need to do so quickly. The sooner they are able to find one another, the sooner they can figure out a way back home and have another crack at putting an end to the villain's plans. Whether such a thing was actually possible in a world with barely any magic in it was a valid concern, but Ozzy had more immediate things to worry about. For instance, why did the air smell like a perpetual forest fire? How did ships sail through the sky as if it were water? And most importantly, was the pavement he was hurtling towards at high speed much softer than it looked? Probably not, but a man could hope.

Psyche Reflection
In the universe, Year 20XX, there exists people who are able to enter the cognitive realms of others and alter their perceptions and emotions, for better or worse. These people are known as "Divers" for their ability to dive into the psyche of others in a process called the "Psyche Dive". The cognitive realm is unique to each individual, hence it's also named the "Reflected World". There, one's innermost emotions and beliefs are materialised when the balance between the id (source of psychodynamic energy, represented by our desires and individuality.) and the superego (represented by our conscience and need to conform to society) is disrupted, with the id overpowering the superego more often than not.As a result, the excess psychodynamic energy on either side results in the formation of Spectres, ghost-like beings that haunt the ego (an individual's personality) and push a person to ruin by clouding his perceptions of reality, influencing his decision making in the process. If left unchecked, Spectres would continue to grow in number and power, eventually consuming the ego completely to form Demons within the person's psyche. At this point, it is extremely difficult to restore a person's id to its original state, as Demons are often extremely powerful and well-protected by their army of Spectres. People who are possessed by Demons are often twisted individuals who commit the most heinous of crimes, as they have lost all of their conscience and morals, fuelled only by their desires. The Divers are the last hope for humanity against the Spectres and Demons. Armed with the power to use their cognition to fashion into effective weapons against these abominations, the Divers seek to cleanse the minds of victims from such insidious influences. 21 year old Lee Jin Kai became a Diver abruptly on his first day as a University student, after a chance meeting with a beautiful foreign exchange student by the name of Aiko Verde. Despite having different motivations, the pair must now stick together, as they traverse the psyches of various people while gathering comrades, resolving real-world issues in the process... Inspired by Persona 5.
