Blood Evolution System Chapter 173

Meanwhile, Leilani, John, Varth, and Iris used the time Vincent bought for them by eating pills and drinking potions of various kinds. These things were provided to them by Iris and Varth, and each of them had a special effect of helping combatants restore their stamina, magic energy, and battle energy.
After a few minutes, once Vincent finished drinking blood and came out of the subspace, he regrouped with his team, chatting with them about what they need to do to face the next wave.
They came up with a simple plan. Vincent will tell them about the weakness of the monsters, just what he has been doing since the start of this trial, and they will abuse their weaknesses to achieve victory.
They didn't get to chat for long as the next monster wave started.
Scary-looking monsters with eyes as red as blood as well as knife-like teeth as black as the veil of the night, a shadow-like body, and a zip-like mouth in place of a stomach floated out of the four portals, hovering one meter above the ground.
Leilani and Iris felt a bit disgusted when they saw them. They have never seen monsters like them before, and to be honest, they wanted to reverse time to unsee what they have seen. John and Nevis felt so excited that their mouth opened wide enough to take the shape of complete circles. These monsters looked like the ones in their favorite comics and they were excited to see them in real life, after all.
Varth brows furrowed, unable to believe that he does not know anything about such monsters.
Vincent looked at the monster coming out of the portals with a calm look, using appraisal on them and getting to know about their strength and weaknesses in silence.

The mouth on the belly of the monsters split apart, opening up rather widely.
Vincent's eyes opened wide when he saw that as he realized that they were going to use their special move.
"Hurry up and block your ears!" Vincent suddenly said, and following his words, they hurried to close their ears.
Vincent pressed his hands on his ears, and at the same time, blood surged out of his palms, crystallizing around his ears, decreasing the amount of sound he can hear by a large margin.
AAAAAAAAA
The monsters screamed like a Banshee, screaming so loudly that they felt their ears ringing even though they had pressed their hands against it. They hovered in mid-air, just screaming, and their scream started to die out as they slowly became exhausted.
"What the hell are they?" Varth asked after the disgusting monsters stopped screaming.
"A Phantomised version of Ghoul!"
Vincent, John, and Nevis said at the same time.
"You jinxed us!" Nevis said to John, remembering that he had said that might face Ghoul, Vampires, Werewolf, and so on in the last monster wave!
"Haha, I didn't mean to," John said, rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment.
"How do you guys know about it?"
"We read about them in a comic." Nevis and John said, explaining the reason why they knew about this type of monster.
"Do you know about their weakness?"
John and Nevis didn't know whether or not the things they read in the comics would be useful in real life, so they didn't say anything as to not waste the time of the others.
"Physical attacks and melee weapons can't hurt these monsters as they will merely go through their bodies. Only fire and ice elemental attacks can hurt them. Even then, we need to freeze them to ice statues and break them to kill them or use flames with a very high intensity to solidify their bodies. Once their bodies solidify, we can engage them in melee combat." Vincent explained the weakness of the monsters to them.

"Do you guys get it?" Vincent continued, sweeping his glance across all of them.
"Yes!" They nodded their heads, telling them that they understand.
Nevis and John were amazed, not only because Vincent knew about their weaknesses but also because their weaknesses were similar to the ones in the comic!
The monsters regained their stamina and started to float towards them at an extremely fast speed, twirling in mid-air while approaching them.
"Leave the freezing to me!" Leilani said, ready to use her ice ability on the approaching monsters.
"And me!" Varth said with a sly smile on his face. While Vincent was telling them about the second weakness of the monsters, he had copied Leilani's ability, transforming his hollow cells into ice ability cells.
"I will use my fire ability talisman to burn them and solidify their bodies," Iris said, pulling out her talisman.
"That's good! I will beat them to death with John!" Vincent said, waiting for Leilani and Varth to freeze them to ice statutes and for Iris to solidify their bodies so that he can go on and destroy them once and for all with John.
As the monsters crept up to them, Varth and Leilani raised their hands, and a large amount of coldness surged out of their palms, freezing the variant ghouls into ice statues at a rate visible to the naked eye. At the same time, Iris activated her fire talismans, and they shoot out of her hands like a star shooting across the lonely night skies, latching on the bodies of the ghouls before turning to dust and releasing a fiery tornado that set them ablaze.
"John, you take care of the ice statues. Leave the rest to me!"
"As you say, big brother!"
Once their bodies completely turned to ice statues under the coldness released by Varth and Leilani, John moved swiftly, brandishing his swords at one statue after another, shattering them one by one with a consistent speed.
On the other hand, Vincent soloed the solidified ghouls, dodging their knee-like teeth that clomped down on his by moving behind him and enduring their shrikes by blocking his ears with the help of crimson plugs.
