Falling In Love : I Love You, Today And Forever Chapter 531

Jared banged on the door in anger. He had never been this frustrated before, and he did not know how to get out of the predicament he was in. "Deputy, get me out of here right now." He yelled, completely oblivious to the fact that he was in a soundproof room. Not a word he said passed out of the room. But all that he was speaking and doing was captured on the cameras in the room.
"Deputy, get me out of here. You have captured the wrong guy. I am in no way related to crimes you are speaking of." Jared shouted the same words he had not stopped repeating since the time he had stepped inside the room. But there was no response whatsoever from the other side. It was completely silent.
Annoyed by the treatment he was receiving, Jared kicked the door hard in anger. He held his forehead, unable to believe how bad the situation had turned. While his father was caught in the act while trading organs illegally, proving him to be a criminal, his Godfather had lost his consciousness and he was yet to wake up. And Jared was here, suspicious of his involvement with his father in his crimes. All the skeletons in his closet were coming out one by one, and Jared did not how to face the situation.
All he could do was blame Maggie and the other girls for the predicament he was in. If not for them, he would still be the King like he was and rule over the country just as he had dreamt of.
Jared walked back and forth in his room, trying to think of a solution that could help him escape from his dreadful situation. But he could come up with nothing. Threats and bribes did not work on the Deputy. Valerie was a headstrong and honest woman, and she would never bend to anyone's will. Jared had realized this fact the first he had met her. So, he could not use the same tactic he had used with others. It would only backfire at him and push him closer to his doom.

Jared had already anticipated such a day in the past, and since then, he had started to find something, anything against Valerie that could be of use to him. But he had found nothing about her. She neither had a family nor did she have anyone she was close to other than the two men he usually saw her with. And dealing with them too was equally difficult. They too were just like Valerie, making it impossible to find out the woman's weakness.
"Shit," Jared cursed and kicked the door again. He started to walk back and forth, completely ignorant to the fact that the three people he was cursing just now were observing him through the cameras.
"Did his assistant come here?" Valerie looked at Ryder, who was eating his fried rice happily, and just one glance was enough to send Valerie's stomach rumbling. She was starving by now, and the smell enticed her to give up her work and attack her food, just like how Ryder and Preston were doing.
"He already did. I locked him in the other investigation room. But he was not the man we met the previous time." Preston added before he took ate another spoon of his delicious food.
"What happened to the old assistant?" Valerie lifted her head to look at her friends, who seemed to be as famished as her. The day had been quite exciting, especially after the news about the organ trafficking issue had broken out. Since then, they had been dealing with a lot of people, having no time to eat their dinner. It was only now that they could find time to fill their stomachs.
"I am not sure. He is not replying to me. That man is a bigger douche bag than Jared." Preston continued. "I was too frustrated to deal with him. So, I just punched him before I left him to himself."

"Great work. These people need to be punched in the gut to get them speaking." Ryder looked at the man in the camera, letting out a sardonic smile. "By the way, how did you get the proofs against Jared and his men? Was it Maggie?" He bit his lip, waiting to get an affirmative response from her friend. It had been a long time since he last saw the girl he liked, and all Ryder wanted was to meet her and hug her. He missed her a lot, and there was not one moment when he had not thought about her.
Valerie stared at the man, who was begging him desperately to reveal the truth to him. Finally, after a long delay, she nodded at him, giving him the answer he needed. When Maggie herself had given her the nod to reveal the truth, who was she to keep it a secret?
"Where is she, Valerie? When is she returning to the Intelligence? Is she alright? Is she fine?" Ryder fired a series of questions at her, happiness and relief evident in his tone. Since the moment he had found out about her going undercover to get proof against Jared and his team, he had been unable to sit still and relax. Every moment of his day had been filled with worry for the careless girl, who had not once contacted him after she left the Intelligence.
"Ryder, calm down. Maggie is fine. She has gone into hiding after she left Jared's team. She will only meet us when everything ends and Jared is behind the bars. His men are out hunting for her. So, she needs to stay hidden until everyone is taken care of." Valerie iterated the same words Maggie had told her, and Ryder nodded at her understanding.
"Yes, Maggie should not risk her life anymore. She has already done a lot now. We will take care of everything." Preston commented after thinking for a while. She needs to take a break and stay low for the time being until everyone is behind the bars.
"Yes. I too don't know where she is. But she is safe. You can stop worrying about her. And," Valerie stood up before she looked at Preston, who was already smiling at her in mischief. "Keep your phone switched on tomorrow. Maggie might surprise you with a call."
Valerie and Preston stepped out of the room, leaving an ecstatic Ryder to himself.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

Kalar's Continent
Magic is a fickle thing, hard to grasp and even harder to truly master. Mana flows through everything in the world, every rock, plant, and human. They all breath, grow and influence their surroundings in their own right.Join Teo, a bright young boy with a gift for Arcane Magic, through his journey to tackle the Elements, master his Craft and climb to the very peak of magic itself.Who will he meet, friends or foes? Trusted companions or bitter rivals? Will he be able to find his answer and get to the real meaning of magic, all while wrestling with the complex laws of nature and his own unripe emotions? There is only one way to find out.The story will start with a few chapters of introductions in volume 1 to establish the characteristics and the nature of the world the characters live in. After that, it will probably become a lot more fast-paced and incorporate real story progression. My goal is to fuse the common magic advancement system in a weak-to-strong fashion, together with elements of naturalism, magic combat action and little bits and pieces of science, wherever necessary, to form a bright and interesting story about a boy chasing his dreams about magic.
