Cornered By The CEO Chapter 80

The plane jolted again, breaking the spell she was under. She gripped the back of his chair firmly with both hands while glaring at him. He chuckled wickedly, delighted by her horror. His cruelty truly knew no bounds.
Who knew the Dragon, of all people, understood that some things were funny despite how ridiculous they were. "Did you know that private jets have a higher rate of crashing than commercial planes? Statistics show that it is likelier for us to die in this jet than in a commercial plane," Qian Meng told him firmly.
Mo Qingchen pressed his lips together to hide a smile. "Well, we'll go to heaven hand in hand, then."
"Or hell," Qian Meng retorted.
Yin Ah's assets were suddenly thrust in her face. "Looks like we may be in for a bumpy ride, sir."
Where had she come from?
"I gathered," he replied dismissively, his eyes never leaving Qian Meng.
It was at that moment she realized that she had ended up back on his lap, her hands above his head, boxing him beneath her. His arms were wrapped tightly around her waist. He must have realized it too because he abruptly pulled them away.
You would think it would be awkward, but it wasn't in the least.
If Yin Ah hadn't come, god knew how long they would have sat there. It was bizarre how comfortable it felt. Clearly, the high altitude was messing with her mind. She jumped to her feet the moment Yin Ah stepped back.
Her eyes rolled over Yun Qian Meng before she sauntered away. She was sizing Qian Meng up, that she was sure of. She knew that look. Women often gave it to her when she was in college with male friends.
But it was the 'what's so special about her' look. Usually, women acted that way when a man treated another woman different from the others. She couldn't figure out why this girl would react this way because of Mo Qingchen.

She spent most of the turbulence sitting by the window. It was peaceful. Mo Qingchen was back at word, a slight crease formed on his brow as he typed furiously on the laptop.
When Yin Ah came over to ask her if she wanted snacks, she had a smug look on her face.
"Do you fly for Mo Qingchen often?" she asked, trying to make small talk.
Yin Ah nodded. "Yes, just let me know if you and Mr. Mo would like some alone time."
Qian Meng coughed on her words. "Alone time? I don't think that will be necessary." She couldn't be serious.
Yin Ah laughed at her face. "Don't be coy, sweetie." She smirked knowingly. "Lord knows I have been trying to get his attention for years," she pointed to her breasts. "Even the gayest of gay men appreciate the view, if you know what I mean."
The woman winked. Yun Qian Meng did know.
She glanced over her shoulder at Mo Qingchen before turning back to Qian Meng. "Not once has that man looked at me." She paused. "But he sure does notice you." Her eyes swept over Qian Meng from head to toe. "He sure does notice you," she repeated, as though baffled by her own words.
Qian Meng rolled her eyes. "Of course he notices me. I'm the founder and CEO of Venus. We are enemies turned business partners." It was less of an explanation and more of a brag about why she was more worthy of the attention. The way this girl looked at her rubbed her the wrong way.
Her eyes widened for a second before she smirked. "And what a deliciously exhausting partnership that must be." She grinned snidely.
Qian Meng gaped at her outlandish insinuation. "Nothing inappropriate is going on." Her tone was stern. "As a matter of fact, we spend most of our time arguing," Qian Meng added with complete honesty.

Yin Ah patted her shoulder as a token of appeasement. "Oh, yes. I saw the two of you arguing. Where I come from, that's called foreplay."
Her eyes nearly rolled out of her head. "That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. We barely tolerate each other."
The woman dipped into the mini-bar. It was the only possible explanation.
Her finger tapped lightly against her cheek. "Right... you barely tolerate each other. Forgive me for thinking otherwise."
Qian Meng brushed her off. "Clearly, you misread the situation. I knew you had the wrong impression when you gave me that look earlier." Her brows rose accusingly.
"That you noticed?"
"Yes, I noticed. I rarely miss anything." The girl looked amused for some reason. Something was very wrong with her.
The jet made a detour somewhere. Yun Qian Meng didn't pay attention because she was already engrossed in her paperwork. Mo Qingchen said something about taking things for his sister and she rolled her eyes. A blatant show of wealth.
Yin Ah, the curvaceous flight attendant offered her a drink while she worked. And waited.
Three drinks and over an hour later, Mo Qingchen's gloating presence filled the doorway. Qian Meng was surprised that his head fit through. His sly grin was infectious and a bit sexy if she was being completely honest.
"What would you like to drink, sir?" Yin Ah thrust her assets straight up in his direction. Subtlety was not one of her strong points.
"Get me a red velvet cake," he replied not looking her way.
"Are we celebrating?" Yin Ah's smile couldn't be more flirtatious.
"I am celebrating. You are working." He walked away before she could respond.
The large recline Qian Meng was sprawled out in was insanely comfortable. She watched as Mo Qingchen strode towards her. What an arrogant bastard. Slowly, she sipped her martini.
"Sit up. We'll be taking off any minute," he commanded as he sat down beside her.
She pulled herself up, taking in his radiant grin. "You were furiously typing on your computer. I thought you were writing termination letters for your employees. Did something good happen?"
"Of course," he replied smoothly.
"You compromised with them?" Qian Meng asked with her eyebrow raised.

It wasn't something that just magically came together. It took time and effort for them to get to where they are, and I respect that. It taught me more about how to look at things so thanks a lot for making this book. I meant a lot to me. I will definitely read the sequel and your other books" - Generik_Jay
