She pressed her lips together and for the sake of their newly agreed-upon deal, didn't retort.

"I'll go change," she said lazily.

"Don't wash your hair. The weather is still cold, and the air conditioner in this hotel is blasting."

She gave him a peculiar look and nodded before picking up the towel and dress from the bed. She trudged into the bathroom and before shutting it, peered out and looked at him.

For the life of her, she didn't know why he was still sitting in her room. She also didn't know why she didn't make him leave.

Meh, it's not like she had confidential material in the room, anyway.

She shrugged and switched the shower on. In these fancy rooms, the bathroom doors were frosted glass. But she was far away from it so he wouldn't be able to see her silhouette. She took a hot shower, washed her makeup off, and scrubbed her body clean. She put on some loud music to wake herself up. This was done without regard for the man sitting outside.

The whole process was done in ten minutes. The next few minutes were spent dressing. Except for the zip. She couldn't reach it and pull it up. She had to bite her lip and resign to her. She had already put her hair up in the towel so she hobbled out of the bathroom.

Mo Qingchen glanced at her passively.

"Mind zipping me up?" she asked, pretending to be shameless. This seemed to be her motto around Mo Qingchen: pretend to be thick-skinned. What could she say? Fake it till you make it.

"You're really too comfortable around me." He sighed. He got up from the chair and walked towards her. She gave him a coy smile and turned back to offer her back to him.

Mo Qingchen stared for a second and realized that she was either not wearing a bra or had those pasting cups on her. Not that those did much good. He shook the thought away and rested his hand on the small of her back to tug the zipper up.

"I just want to warn you. Don't think I am trying to seduce you. You were the only one who could help in this situation." Unwelcome guest as you are.

"Did I say anything about being seduced? You think too highly of yourself." If he were so easily seduced, he would have a bunch of women clinging on to him. Gold diggers were plenty on the planet.

Qian Meng became silent. She had never even tried to seduce anyone. How would she know how these things affect men? "Huh. I didn't see you hesitate when you walked up. You're clearly taking advantage of my comfort around you."

Mo Qingchen scoffed. "I view you as a genderless alien. Don't worry about your chastity or my sainthood."

Qian Meng tried to think of a retort but he patted her back.

"All done. What would you have done if I wasn't here?" he asked with a huff. Clearly, there was an alternate solution.

"Chosen another dress," Qian Meng told him easily.

"Then why didn't you do that?" he exclaimed. He couldn't deny the slight tingle at his fingertips or the stirring in his stomach.

"I spared you the sight of me walking around naked," she smirked. She turned around at that moment and caught Mo Qinchen's eyes flit downward towards her chest.

He knew well that he had been caught looking. He didn't apologize.

"It's cold in the dining area," he told her without emotion. He turned quickly and saw himself out much to Yun Qian Meng's delight.

A woman could wear a dress out without a bra just fine. And this dress made her breasts look phenomenal. Air and beauty? She couldn't turn it down. She checked herself out in the mirror, gave a quick wink, and followed Mo Qingchen out.

She kept her pace fast. When she arrived at the elevator, she saw Mo Qinchen standing in front of the closed door. He looked over his shoulder and saw her approaching and turned back to call the elevator.

'What a gentleman,' Qian Meng thought.

They went down in silence and entered the dining area without incident. No-one turned to look at them. Mo Qingchen remained relatively close, paying no attention to her whatsoever in her mind. She proceeded towards the buffet and placed a considerable amount of food on her plate. Some of the other people gawked but didn't comment.

Qian Meng paid them no attention. She had a high metabolism and ate a lot of food. And she hadn't had much food that day, so it was okay. As she quietly ate her food, a group of investors approached her.

"Miss Yun, is anyone sitting beside you?" an elderly gentleman asked. Qian Meng looked up from her plate and a smile graced on her lips.

"Please do. I enjoy eating with others," she lied politely. She never ate with others if she had a choice.

The men sat around her, chirpily talking about their investments and business ventures. Qian Meng paid close attention to the conversation without putting in her input. The dining table was where people were least guarded and they spoke of very many things they would never discuss in a normal conversation. It could range from gossip within the industry to earth-shattering news about the movements of a company that could make the stock prices skyrocket.

Once dinner was done, Qian Meng excused herself and quietly went upstairs. On her way to the elevator, Mo Qingchen caught up to her.

"Are you stalking me?" she asked blandly.

"Our rooms are on the same floor," he replied gruffly. He looked unsatisfied with something so Qian Meng had to tease him.

"Didn't enjoy the hotel food?" she asked, the corner of her lips rising up.

"Buffet food is always quite disinteresting. But this hotel really doesn't pay attention to the quality of their food," he cribbed. Qian Meng shrugged.
