The Tribrid Girl Chapter 46

After seeing how cheerful the people were, the girl felt relief. Upon arriving at the castle gate, the guards bowed down to the princes and allowed them to enter, the castle was painted gold from the outside and was upon the highest cliff in Margovia, near the castle was a huge waterfall, leading down to a lagoon and from above it looked like if it was placed in the clouds.
It was magical, as they entered the castle, it had beautiful artifacts, the walls were gold and embedded with silver stones almost diamond like, as they walked in the maids greeted them and they saw a pet black werepanther , as they walked through the halls the prince showed them the important portraits of their ancestors.
He showed them, the courtyard, the garden, living room, kitchen, the training arena, armory, banquet hall and the balconies, the castle had a lot more places to visit but that had to be done another day for night was nearing and they had to meet the queen.
Before he could go upstairs, the queen descended the stairs which intersected, she wore a long blue dress, had long black hair, blue eyes, silver shoes and a silver crown along with a blue, long shimmering cape dragging on the floor as she walked and she was fair in complexion. The queen was beautiful.
Liam and the others bowed down to her, "welcome home son" she said,
They raised up and he hugged his mom who still looked like if she was in her twenty's.
"It is good to be home mom" he replied,
She smiled and looked at Cassius and Octavia, the queen walked up to them, "you must be Cassius" she said,
"Pleased to meet you, your majesty" he replied,
"The pleasure is all mine and you must be Octavia" she said,

The girl bowed down "your majesty" she replied smiling.
The queen held her by her shoulder and raised her up, "you are really pretty, i have heard a lot about you" she said,
"Thank you, your majesty and you look younger than your age and beautiful" Octavia replied,
The woman smiled "thank you, well it is night, you guys can have dinner and get some rest" she said.
They al agreed with her and went to the dining room to have their dinner.
They all sat down, the table was packed with all they could think of, the prince and Octavia had steak with green peas and mashed Potato and a glass of red wine. While she was eating the remembered what she felt when the queen touched her.
The girl felt at peace, as if she was at home, "i probably felt that way because i never really knew my parents" she said to herself, the girl became sad and the prince saw,
"Octavia what's wrong?" he asked,
She looked at him and placed a fake smile "nothing sire" she replied.
The prince knew she was lying, he could see right through her fake smile and one thing that Cassius hated the most was lies.
"Octavia" the queen called out,
"Yes your majesty" she responded,
"Please call me Mariam" she said.
The girl smiled and held the queen's hand, as she did that she saw glimpses of her past.
"She took her hands off of the queen immediately "i am sorry" she said,
"It is totally okay" Mariam replied.
After they finished eating, Liam showed them to the respective rooms, the prince noticed Octavia was worried and he was getting really irritated by it, so he left her in her room and he went to his, they were now staying apart from each other, the girl's room was huge and pretty, she also had a nice view of the mountains and sine she and the prince was opposite each other their views were the same.

Both the girl an the prince went to bed, he fell asleep fast, but Octavia could not, she was restless, the girl got up from the bed and went into the balcony, she sat on a chair and stared at the mountains.
A little while after she heard howling coming from the mountains, her eyes glowed and the same dark smoke appeared before her, her eyes widened in fear, "i told you that i am not done yet" it said, to her,
She got up and tried to run but the thing grabbed on to her feet using a shadow, it pulled her over the balcony and left her hanging there and if she falls then the girl would surely die, for she was thousands of feet above and after all it was a cliff that the castle was on. Waterfalls surrounded the castle, one side which has the lagoon was safe and the other was not.
It was a beautiful sight that she saw while hanging there, but it was also dangerous, she tried to pull her self up but failed because the shadow kept pulling her downwards. Octavia wanted to call the prince but did not want to endanger his life.
A little while later in the clouds above the waterfall came candle flies, they looked absolutely beautiful, the queen came to look at them through the window, when she looked up she saw Octavia hanging from the balcony.
"You will surely die today if you do not hand yourself over to me" it said,
"I would rather die" she replied,
"You are stubborn, but if that is what you wish, then your wish is my command" it said as it hit her by the back and the girl hand slipped from the balcony.
As she was about to fall, the queen came in time and grabbed on to her arms and pulled her up, the girl was scared and she held on to the queen.
Mariam got really angry and looked at the thing, her eyes glowed blue and her hands lit up, she pointed her hands at the thing and the brightness increased, Octavia closed her eyes as it screamed, the princes saw the light and came to Octavia's room, they saw what was happening and took the girl inside.
The light that the queen possessed could hurt the shadow and due to the pain it disappeared, as soon as it did the rain poured down, Mariam went to check Octavia.
"I will take her to my room, we cannot leave her alone" Cassius said,
"You do that, get your rests, in the morning we have a lot to talk about" she replied.
The prince lifted her in his arms and took her to his room, he placed her on the bed, after he did that he laid on the other half, the boy covered her with the blanket and she slept away. A little while after so did he.
For some reason the queen was really worried about the young girl.

Time Can't Heal This
I've always hated the saying "Time heals all wounds." Maybe in most cases that may be true. In my experience with life and pain however, time has only ever bled out the wound. The scars that the wounds left behind though, are often so deep that just looking at them becomes painful to the mind. Time only heals what you let go of. Sometimes letting go and moving on just doesn't feel possible; no matter how much time you let pass you by.These poems signify what time hasn't healed for me.
