After the girl came down everyone complimented her except Cassius. when thy were finish the prince and the girl left in a carriage to the party "remember you have to be my girlfriend so i suggest you can prepare for the worse" he said to the girl,

"okay your highness" she replied. ​​

A little while later they arrived at the party, it was huge and so was the duke's mansion, Octavia was amazed upon seeing the size of it, the guards took their invitation and let them in the party, everyone there was so different from her that she felt weird, the prince dragged her to the bar with him and introduced her to a few of his friends, she was pleased that he did not say she was his girlfriend.

After Cassius got caught up with his friends and a few girls, the girl started to feel uncomfortable, so she sat by a table and a waiter came to her asking if she needed anything, Octavia got a glass of champagne, as she waited for him, a while after the duke joined the party, his name was Martin Dane, he was tall, handsome, had a fine body with brown hair and black eyes.

He walked to the prince and they bowed before each other,

"well it is good to see you after so long Cassius" Martin said,

"likewise Martin" replied Cassius,

Martin then called for a waiter and that was when he saw Octavia "wow she seems like a fine maiden" he said to himself as he walked towards the girl,

"Hello!" he said,

Octavia got up and bowed to him "Hello my lord" she replied,

"oh please there is no need to bow, what is your name?" he asked,

"my name is Octavia Anderson" she replied,

"well miss Anderson there will be a dance in a few minutes, will you promise me the first dance?" he asked,

"uh... i am here with someone" she replied,

"I am sure he will not mind one dance besides no one should leave a fine lady like you, in a party like this all alone" he said,

"okay then" she responded as the man left smiling.

When she saw that Martin went back to the bar, talking with Cassius she got scared,

"that is a pretty young lady" Martin said,

"yeah where?" he asked as the duke pointed to Octavia,

"oh i guess so" he said,

"yeah she came with someone but he left her alone, i do not know what kind of a man he is for leaving a girl like that alone in a strange place, with people who she does not know" Martin replied.

The prince then folded his cuff in anger as he looked at Octavia, the girl saw him staring at her and got really nervous, she was about to leave when the dance was about to begin but the duke went to Octavia held her hand and carried her to the dance floor. As for Cassius he did not feel like dancing despite of how many young women asked him.

Martin placed his hands around the girl waist while her hand was on his shoulder, while they were dancing Cassius decided to ruin that moment for her by cutting in "mind if i cut in" he asked, Martin laughed,

"why don't you ask the lady" he replied,

"i am sure she would not mind after all she is my girlfriend" Cassius said,

"oh my i am so sorry Cassius, you should know that i had no wrong intention, i just saw a nice girl all alone and wanted to dance, you can take it from here" Martin replied,

'It is totally okay" the prince said as Martin left and he grabbed on to the girl placing his hands around her waist and hers around his neck, they were so close together that his chest was bracing against her breast, "you know i never thought that you could get the attention of so many guys" he said to her,

"that was not my fault, you were the one that said i was unattractive" she replied softly,

"yeah you are to me" he said as he squeezed her back,

"you are hurting me, let go " she replied as she tried to push him away but he pulled her even closer,

"if you try that one more time i will have you do something that you will regret" he said.

The girl kept quiet until the dance was finally finished then he decided to let her go,

"come it is time i tell my friends about my girlfriend" he said to her as he held her hand and carried her to the table were dinner was being served in the dining hall. The prince and the girl sat down and took their food for it was far past dinner time.

While they were eating a girl who asked Cassius to dance asked "so who is she to you?",

"oh since it is really necessary for you to know this is my girlfriend Octavia" he replied as the girl stared at him.

Everyone at the table including his friends were shocked,

"what are you serious?" one of his friend by the name of Jacob asked,

"ask her yourself " Cassius replied,

"Octavia is that true?" the girl asked,

Octavia hesitated to answer her "uh.. yes" she said,

"it is true" Martin replied,

"well we are happy for you, just do not go and break her heart i know it is hard for you to trust but she is a really nice and quiet person" Martin said.

" guys do not worry i am serious this time" he replied as he glared at Octavia.

"well lets have our meal then" Jacob said,

"oh after this we will be leaving it is already 10pm" Cassius said,

"okay we understand, but make sure you visit and bring her too" Martin replied.

"okay i will" he responded as they continued eating their dinner.

When everyone was finish, the prince and the girl bid them farewell and left for the palace.
