He then held her gown a pulled it pass her shoulder, "oh seems like that wolf infected it, hold on" he said, "uh sure" she replied.
He got up, went for the first aid kit and came back "this might burn a little okay, all you do plz don't scream" he said, "okay i will not scream" she replied, he then took out a bottle of liquid that is used to burn germs, he place a cotton on top of the bottle and leaned it a little, after he was finish, he placed it on her wound.
It burned like hell she wanted to scream but instead grabbed onto his shirt and squeezed it, he then realized it was burning more than he expected, he drank some cold water that was brought for him, then blew the his cold breath on her wound, the girl then let go of his clothes, he took out a bandage and wrapped it around her arm "done, you okay?" he asked.
She looked at him with a little bit of tear in her eyes "i am fine thank you" she replied, the girl pulled back up her sleeve but the prince pulled it back down "leave it down, do not pull it back up unless you want your wound to get worse" the prince said, she agreed with him and left it down, he sat down on his chair, picked up his food and began eating.
Instead of eating she made a cup of tea and drank it " you need energy and in order to have that you need to eat out your food" the girl said, the prince glared at her "hmm fine, i will eat it out" he replied, she smiled as she sat back down, she started to feel weird but did not tell the prince because she did not want to stress him out and besides it was pretty late in the night.

After the prince finished eating, he got up and decided to go to bed, while the girl stayed up, he looked and saw she was still in the balcony, he blew a whistle at her, she turned looking at him "do you need something your highness?" she asked politely, "aren't you going to get some rest now?" he asked, "oh umm i will go to bed in a few minutes, you get your rest" she replied.
He smiled "okay good night" he said.
"good night" she replied.
While the prince was fast asleep, Octavia was still awake at midnight, "why can't i get any sleep?" she asked herself, she looked at the stars and tried to close her eyes, that was when she heard howling from a distance. She turned around only to see a male figure standing opposite her in the balcony.
"Who is there?" she asked, the person walked closer to her and since it was dark, she could not see the face, the only thing she saw was that the person was a male, muscular and slim, "had a good night rest?" the person asked in a soft yet strong voice, the mark on her started to pain "damn it not this again" she said to herself, she looked up trying to see who it was but the person disappeared.
Her eyes widened in fear, about a minute later the person reappeared behind her and placed his hands on her shoulder "do not move" he said, she stood still "who are you?" she asked, he pulled her towards him, with his soft hands on her shoulder and her back against his chest, the girl left shocked and uncomfortable.
At that moment she remembered the black wolf, he asked her to sit, with no choice and no idea of who he was she sat down, "are you afraid?" he asked, "n... no" she replied, he laughed, "i will visit you again by then the prince should be gone" he said, her eyes widened by the time she turned the man left leaving only his scent behind.

The girl jumped down the balcony and landed on her feet, she searched everyone but could not find a trace, when she got back to the palace, the prince was awake "where were you?" he asked angrily, "i went for a walk" she replied, he stared at her, she swallowed heavily "go to bed" he shouted, she jumped and did as told, it took a while for her to fell asleep but eventually she did.
The next morning when the prince woke up, he saw that Octavia was still asleep, he left her, took a bath, got breakfast with the royal family and came back up in the room "i thought by now you would be awake, hmm" he said to himself, the prince grabbed a mug of ice water and threw it on her, she got up coughing "good morning Octavia" he said, "why did you do that?" she asked.
He laughed and pulled open the curtains letting the sun light hit the girl, "next time be up before me, oh and there is not need to get anything for me i already had breakfast" he said, the girl sighed in relief "i am sorry sire" she replied, "no need to be just hurry up and get your ass in the stabled, i will be waiting" he said as he left the room.
Tired Octavia took a bath, ate her breakfast and rushed to the stables as fast as possible, "you finally made it" he said, "i am sorry if i kept you waiting" she replied as she grabbed onto her horse, "we are going for a morning ride in the valley, oh i want to see that huge waterfall too" he said, as he packed a boy with a little bit of food on the horse just in case they run into trouble.
"How can he be so lively all of the time?" she asked herself, the prince stared at her wondering in space and smirked "hmm you will learn a lot of things about me today" he said, she looked at him and how calm he was.
"No matter what i have to protect the prince, i do not know who that guy was or what he wants but i have to be ready" she said to herself as she got on the horse.

Reality Grants One Chance
Some people are lucky, some aren't, some - have terrible luck. Our "hero" is of the latter kind. During young age he got into an accident, which allowed him to learn the fact that he belongs to a rare group of people.. People diagnosed with lung cancer, which he, however survived. Can't say he's lucky, as his life went downhill from that point... Our story happens years later, when his fate decides to make a loop and throw him in the same kind of accident. He gets hit by a truck. Surviving the crash, suffering just a few scratches, he is ultimately "lucky" to find himself out of the hospital in no time.. however every bit of good luck always brings him terrible luck afterwards. This time pushing him maybe a bit too far.. How far? Making him vanish without a trace and find himself in the middle of an unknown forrest. Doesn't sound bad? He can consider himself lucky? Just wait and see...It can always get worse.. always.. .... Congratulations, you've made it through the intro and into the author note! If you by any chance missed the tags and didn't read the warning, please do that now. I really recommend you to. Before you jump to reading, and unintentionally scar yourself, do mind that the story is about a dark, unforgiving world, a world in which you have more opportunities to die a horrible death, than take a piss. Hero doesn't have great luck, he has dumb persistance, he doesn't go through any trial with a breeze, he pays the price of blood, flesh and tears to live..and will be paying for every mistake.. No one outright explains anything to him, just as us for the most part - he is not sure what the hell is going on.. Some real survival tactics are used as a base of the descriptions, they are as important to the world and character as any other element.. Mind that the story starts really slow, but as the stone starts rolling downhill - the pace gets faster.. Every tag for this novel has a reason to be there, so if you don't see the particular element there, don't panic.. it's either well camoufalged, subtle or simply not encountered as of yet. Big thanks to Hobbo, Enyhrye and Hveth! ...not only pointing that the description could be better, but providing invaluable input.. and being patient enough to give fleshed out advice.

There is a common line of questioning that falls upon students within their first moments at Kingsly. “Why?”. The student asks, “Why am I here?”. This is a futile line of questioning. There are those who remember, and those who do not. I’ll spare you the technical explanation — that’s what we have teachers for. The jist is as follows: those who remember are... how do I put this... more likely. They occupy more time. and the space that time has allowed them — the pertinent amount — is experienced no matter what. Allow me to offer you a bit of personal information: I am not one who remembers. There is no time relevant to me, no space that I occupy. I exist by carving myself here, and continue to exist in the same fashion. You would do well to follow suit. Why am I here? Because I force myself to be. Because the universe, the universes, for all its kicking and screaming, cannot escort me out.

ELIOT NESS FOR MAYOR is a short novel of magical-realist fiction, a stand-alone book in the Shantytown Cycle. Written for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), I will be posting revisions as I complete them and should be done by early 2022, though I am making major changes so the timing may be longer. This book is cross-posted on two websites: Wattpad and Royal Road. Both are reputable, high-quality sites. Do not trust this book on other websites. They "scrape" material from reputable sites, posting the stolen material as an original to lure users in, but contain links that include malicious code.
