The Tribrid Girl Chapter 5

They sat down in the restaurant and the prince called the waiter and order his food, as Octavia ordered hers, while they were waiting, the prince looked at her saying "you know that these supernatural creatures are real, so why did you react that way, upon hearing about the blood thirsty werewolf?" he asked, "as you saw i cannot defend myself, so that is why" she replied, he glared at her saying to himself "hmm i doubt that is the only reason", she saw that he was looking at her, by the time he could have said anything, the waiter brought their food.
After they started to eat, the girl closed her eyes, the prince wondered what was wrong with her, "Octavia" he said, she opened her eyes "yes Cassius" she replied, "be honest, why are you always afraid?" he asked, tears came to her eyes "you will not understand" she replied, "you might be surprised, it is early and i can wait all night long for you to be honest" he said, "my family was killed by these creatures, right in front my eyes, people says it was an accident but i know otherwise" she replied, "i am sorry, for what happened, did you see the killers form or anything else?" he asked, "no but if they come in front of me, i will know" she replied.
Octavia always felt that she was weak but by seeing what happened to her parents that made her stronger than she thinks. He smiled with her, "what are you smiling at?" she asked gently, "i have to admit, you are nothing like my other caretakers, maybe you might last a little longer, just a little" he replied, she smiled, "umm can we have some ice cream?" she asked, "yes of course, after all what's a dinner without desserts" he replied, after they finished eating, he paid the waiter and the went to the ice cream stand, even though it was pretty late in the night, "how are you feeling?" he asked, "huh i am fine, can i ask you something?" she said, "sure" he replied, "have you ever been nice to your care takers?" she asked, he smiled wickedly "no i have not all i ever thought about was getting rid of them" he replied, "let me guess, you will try the same with me" she replied, "maybe, i guess we will see" he said.

She smiled as they walked to the inn, where they both went to the room, he took the couch and she took the bed, the couch was not uncomfortable because it was very soft, they both slept away pretty fast. The next morning about 3am when place was still dark, the girl heard howling, she got up immediately, "damn, i hope it is not that blood thirsty wolf" she said to herself, the girl looked to see if Cassius was asleep and yes he was fast asleep.
"hmm, i will not disturb him, we have to continue the journey tomorrow so" she said to herself, the girl got up, open the window and looked outside, there were a lot of street lights which bright up the town in the dark, she looked closer and saw the same shadow that she saw in the forest was there in the town, she woke the prince up "huh is something wrong?" he asked, "come see this" she replied, he got up, followed het to the window and there he saw the shadow in the town "is it just me or did that thing follow us here?" he asked in curiously, "yup i was thinking the same" she replied, he reached out locked the windows, turned on all the lights in the room and made sure the room was locked up properly.
"What are you doing?" she asked gently, "i am making sure, we stay safe, until it is time for us to leave" he replied, "oh okay" she replied, "can you sleep with the lights on?" he asked, "yeah i can" she replied, "good, let's go back to bed" he said, "can you sleep?" she asked, he turned around smiling "i can, try get some sleep okay" he replied, she nodded her head in agreement and they both went back to bed, a few minutes after both of them fell sound asleep.

In the morning when both of them woke up, they did the necessary things and checked out of the inn, when the prince along with the girl went to get their horses they saw how packed the town was, she asked a vendor "what was going on?", "today is where people from different places gather to trade, my dear" the vendor replied politely, they thanked the vendor, got onto their horse and rode off to continue the journey.
While they were riding "i did not know, that you were so good with a horse" the prince said, "i cannot believe that you can be gentle" she replied, " you do not know me, well at least not yet." he said, she smiled saying "wow even the roads are busy" she said, "yeah, that is why it is a good that that we started out early" he replied, "hey we left at 8 am and it is now 9:30 am, mind if we stop at a shop" she asked, "of course, even i am hungry" he replied laughing. A little while after they stopped at a snackette, where they fed their horses, got some food, sat down and ate.
While Octavia was having her breakfast, she got a glimpse of a wolf in the woods, "hey can a werewolf transform in the day?" she asked, " uh yeah" he replied, "oh okay" she said frighteningly, "why did you ask?" he asked, "because i think we are being followed" she replied, "damn, this is not good" he said, "what are we going to do?" she asked, "well it is clear, we are being haunted by a werewolf, so there is not much that we can do, just do not panic and eat" he replied, she sighed "god help us" she said, he laughed "we have to help ourselves here" he replied, she sat quietly and ate her food, when they were finished, he paid for the food and they continued their journey, knowing how dangerous it will be from now on.

Mother of Learning
Zorian is a teenage mage of humble birth and slightly above-average skill, attending his third year of education at Cyoria's magical academy. He is a driven and irritable young man, consumed by a desire to ensure his own future and free himself of the influence of his family, whom he resents for favoring his brothers over him. Consequently, he has no time for pointless distractions or paying attention to other people's problems. As it happens, time is something he is about to get plenty of. On the eve of the Cyoria's annual summer festival, he is killed and brought back to the beginning of the month, just before he was about to take a train to Cyoria. Suddenly trapped in a time loop with no clear end or exit, Zorian will have to look both within and without to unravel the mystery before him. And he does have to unravel it, for the time loop hadn't been made for his sake and dangers lurk everywhere... Repetition is the mother of learning, but Zorian will have to first make sure he survives to try again - in a world of magic, even a time traveler isn't safe from those who wish him ill. ********************************** If anyone is interested, I have a story-related worldbuilding site that can be found here. I don't update it as often as I should, but there is a fair amount of content there already. It also contains a page with all the fanart, fan translations, audio books and the like - you can reach it directly by clicking this link. I have a patreon account for those kind people that want to give me money. It also contains info for those who want to donate via paypal. The story was originally posted on fictionpress, back in 2011. When I reached chapter 91, I started uploading the story to RoyalRoad, one chapter per day. The story will continue to be updated on fictionpress as well as here, and can be reached by clicking on this link if somebody is interested, though at this point there is nothing there that isn't also on RoyalRoad. ********************************** The cover you see on the side has been made by a fellow RoyalRoad user Sydorow. Thank you for your time and art skills.

The young, intelligent woman is accompanied by the wise and careful Paladin Lissa, the young, experienced and reclusive Knight Trista and the two over-eager and talented Squires Mira and Mina as she sets forth on a grand adventure, only to quickly run into what seems to be a deep conspiracy, stretching back to one enigmatic person. Determined to bring him to Light and justice in the Lord's name, she ignores the warnings all around her and goes chasing after a being who everyone fears, but is she really prepared for the truths she will encounter on her journey? Sanguilia, Guide extraordinaire and strange woman all around, is accompanying a trade caravan when disaster strikes. At first glance she is no more than a Guide, which is no lowborn title itself, as it represents individuals who are capable of traversing the unknown wilds and are well versed in the languages of the land and its inhabitants. As she enters a city on her way home, a new, massive problem rears its head. Accompanied by a bar wench, who is far more than she seems, the mercenary Orc, Daenan and his tiny, flying companion, Faen, all with their own plans and agendas, they seek to tackle a monster in the shape of a man who controls the city. In the depths of the woods, far away from what humanity sees as the centre of civilisation, the lone, independent city of Lanas prepares itself for war, for the Kingdom of Maldora has set its eyes on them and their wealth. A cry for help goes out and bonds long faded into obscurity are renewed. And the world quakes when their calls are answered. Melena, once a slave girl, resides happily in the Mansion and is slowly getting used to her new life, where equality seems to rule. Until a noble's son decides that her very attractive body is something he should own. When the enigmatic master of the Mansion decides to personally deal with the rulebreaker, her world is turned upside down as she stumbles upon ancient mysteries that threaten to overwhelm her. Luckily she finds support in her once-liberator, now turned friend, the happy-go-lucky Evon, who carefully hides his past, the ghost-like Khrast, Kreya and many others. It is a tale of adventure, of lies and deceit, of love lost and found, of bravery and cowardice and where every one of our heroes and villains alike strive to find the answer to the same question: who is the being behind the Mansion of the Woods?

TTWN: The Tale of Will Newbie
This series is inspired by the music of TheFatRat, please take a look if you don't know who he is here. Everyone wants to live in a fantasy world, right up until they have to face dark beings beyond their comprehension. Everyone wants to be a hero, right up until every day becomes a fight for their life. Sixteen-year-old introvert Will Newbie lives in a fantasy world. He's the hero of this story. He has been left with nothing; after a brief adventure in the mountains near his home, he returns to find his entire home missing, every person mysteriously vanishing into thin air. All that's left for him is his rather, "disembodied" older sister and the quest given to him by a rat-turned-god: Gather a team of Champions, fight back against the forces of Sin, and save the world. But if he's learned anything, it's that being a hero isn't as easy as it sounded in the books. So, he'll have to keep himself together, keep his team from tearing each other apart, and figure out just how much he's willing to sacrifice for what he believes in. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! This is my first fully written story, so I want to improve. Positive or negative, I'll take it into account! I will try to update weekly every Friday, but as I'm pretty new to this kinda grind expect some irregularities. The covers are also by moi, done in Pixel Studio. Quite proud of them, really.
