As they watched, Xu Mengya suddenly remembered something very important.

"The babies don't have names yet!"

Gu Hanyu gasped as he also noticed the problem, "Right! But. . . we should have Yechen and Xinyan name it, right?"

Xu Mengya nodded her head, "It's okay. We can wait for a little."

They looked at their two grandchildren for another few minutes before they returned to the delivery room to take a look at He Xinyan and Gu Yechen.

Gu Hanyu stayed outside and Xu Mengya walked in quietly. When she saw He Xinyan laying on the bed fast asleep with her face and hair still wet with sweat, she couldn't help but remember 27 years ago, when she had to go through the same experience.

She felt her heart soften as she walked over and sat down next to Gu Yechen.

"Ah. . ." She sighed as she glanced at her son, "You have to know that Yanyan isn't just doing this for herself, but even more, she is doing it for you. You have to always remember today. . . What she had to go through to give birth to your son and daughter. If you two ever fight or argue in the future, remember today. Remember that she risked her life to deliver your children -"

Xu Mengya's voice cracked as she spoke, and she pressed her lips together as she stared at He Xinyan, holding onto her hand. As a woman, she knew that only women could truly understand the pain and struggle women have to go through to give birth.

Although it is also their own child, what motivates them even more is the fact that they are delivering the child of the man they love. She was lucky to have a man like Gu Hanyu, who loves her so much unconditionally.

So, she had to also make it clear to Gu Yechen how he should treat Xinyan.

Seeing that his mom was getting emotional, Gu Yechen nodded his head obediently and gently reached one hand out, pushing He Xinyan's loose hair to the back of her ear.

"Don't worry, mom. I know. I will definitely treat and love her well."

Xu Mengya took a deep breath and nodded her head as her gaze turned sharp again, "Of course! If you dare bully or treat my daughter-in-law badly, I will chop your two legs off!"

Gu Yechen chuckled softly, "You will never have the chance to!"

Xu Mengya scoffed and stood up, "I hope so! Oh, and your two children don't even have names yet! You can wait until Xinyan wakes up and hurry and pick names for them. Let us know what you two pick as well. Ah, I am so tired! I'm going to go get some sleep. I'll be back tomorrow, okay?"

Gu Yechen nodded his head, "Okay. You and dad should go back and get some sleep. I'll stay here with Xinyan."

Xu Mengya nodded her head and took one last look at He Xinyan before turning around and walking out of the room.

When He Xinyan woke up, it was already the next day. Gu Yechen was still inside the room, and he hadn't fallen asleep the entire night.

"You're awake!" He said excitedly when he saw He Xinyan open her eyes, "How are you feeling? Are you still tired? Hungry? Thirsty?"

He Xinyan smiled weakly and shook her head, "Babies. . ."

Gu Yechen blinked a few times before understanding her and he smiled gently, grabbing onto her hand, "Don't worry about them. Both the girl and boy are healthy. They are resting in the NICU right now."

He Xinyan let out a breath of relief and nodded her head. She still felt incredibly tired and even blinking was like an exercise.

She had always been scared of giving birth since she was a child, and indeed, it was worse than she had imagined. Ah, being a woman was tough. . .

"Oh yeah! They don't have names yet. Mom said that we can choose the names for them. What do you want to name them?"

He Xinyan closed her eyes and thought for a few seconds, "I don't know. . . How about you give one of them a name and mom and dad name the other one?"

Gu Yechen nodded her head, "Okay, okay. Let me think. . ."

He thought for a few seconds and when he had an idea, he looked up to see that He Xinyan had fallen asleep again.

Slowly, he reached for his phone and texted Xu Mengya:

'Xinyan said that you two can choose a name for one of the twins. Do you want the girl or the boy?'

At once, Xu Mengya replied: 'Girl!'

Gu Yechen pursed his lips out slightly and frowned before replying gravely: 'Okay.'

He had actually wanted to name the girl as well, but since he had given the opportunity to choose to his mom, he couldn't take back his words anymore.

'How about the girl can have He as a surname, and the girl can have Gu?'

Gu Yechen looked down at his phone and read the message quickly before replying, 'Okay.'

The next time He Xinyan woke up was the next day, and she had much more energy the second time. However, the true reason why she woke up was no other than for food.

Gu Yechen had his head laid down next to He Xinyan's hand with his eyes closed. He Xinyan thought he was asleep so she didn't move or ask for food even though she was very hungry.

However, a few seconds later, Gu Yechen suddenly opened his eyes and sat back up.

"You're awake?" She asked, her voice still soft and weak.

Gu Yechen's eyes widened slightly and he immediately sat up straighter, "Yes, yes, I'm always awake. When did you wake up? Are you hungry? Thirsty? Does it still hurt anywhere? Should I go call the doctor?"

He Xinyan smiled softly and shook her head, "There is no need. I am a little hungry."

Gu Yechen nodded his head and turned around, grabbing the insulated container. When he opened it, the delicious smell of chicken soup immediately spread inside the large hospital room.

He Xinyan pushed herself up on the bed and looked longingly at the soup.

"The doctor said that you can only eat lighter foods like soup, fruits, vegetables, and drink more water."

He Xinyan pursed her lips out slightly and frowned as she watched Gu Yechen gently blow on the soup, "When can I start eating other foods?"

"Like?" Gu Yechen raised one eyebrow amusedly.

"Fried chicken, pasta, fried rice, pizza, cake. . ." He Xinyan licked her lips as she thought. She wasn't able to eat very well the weeks before delivery, but now, all her cravings were back. She couldn't wait anymore!

"Listen to the doctor. Soon, okay? I promise. For now, let's just eat what the doctor said. Here," Gu Yechen held up the spoon and carefully brought it up to He Xinyan's lips.

One by one, she quickly finished the entire tub but she still was hungry, "Is there no more?"

Gu Yechen reached for the basket of fruits on the table, "Do you want some oranges?"

He Xinyan nodded her head excitedly.

Gu Yechen began peeling the orange, and as he did, the door opened and Xu Mengya walked in.

"Yanyan, you're awake! Look who I brought." In her arms, there was a small baby that was fast asleep.

He Xinyan has not seen her babies yet since delivery, so she was still very excited when she saw the small baby. Her heartbeat sped up as she reached out a little awkwardly and carefully took the baby from Xu Mengya and into her own arms.

Although she had read several books about how to take care of babies, she seemed to have suddenly forgotten everything as she stiffly held the tiny baby.

Fortunately, the baby did not wake up and began crying and continued to sleep soundly. He Xinyan giggled softly as she looked down at the baby boy.

With his eyes closed, she couldn't tell who his eyes looked like, but his thin lips looked like Gu Yechen and his nose also resembled Gu Yechen.

"I can already tell when he grows up, there will be flocks of girls chasing after him," He Xinyan said excitedly.

Xu Mengya chuckled, "Of course! I still remember when Gu Yechen was in high school and college. All those girls secretly liked him, but with his cold and stone face, of course no one dared to say!"

He Xinyan narrowed her eyes and glanced over at Gu Yechen, who awkwardly cleared his throat.

"How come I never heard of all your admirers?"

Gu Yechen blinked a few times, "They are all irrelevant, so of course I never tell you of them! Madam Xu, what are you talking about?!"

Xu Mengya chuckled and shrugged, "I'm just saying the truth! But Yanyan, don't worry, that stupid guy indeed never cared about any of his admirers. They were all mercilessly rejected!"

Of course He Xinyan knew about how Gu Yechen treated all girls, except her. So, she wasn't actually worried or jealous.

Then, the little boy suddenly opened his round eyes that really looked like He Xinyan's pure eyes. She thought he was going to start crying, but the room stayed silent.

Instead, the little boy looked up innocently at his mom, sucking on his thumb quietly. The more He Xinyan looked at him, the more she liked him.

"My baby son is so cute!" She exclaimed as she gently rocked him back and forth.

She blinked a few times before glancing over at Gu Yechen, "Does he have a name yet? What are we going to name him?"
