"You're happy about it, my dear sister Yanyan?"

He Xinyan looked up, blinking a few times. Was he responding to her calling him brother Yechen?

She chuckled before nodding her head, "Very."

Gu Yechen smiled as he used his finger to wipe away the crumbs near He Xinyan's lips. As she did this, his eyes narrowed, and the next second, he leaned down to "eat" He Xinyan's lips.

Amongst all of the guests, Gu Kexin was the center of attention as everyone talked about and to her, but she wasn't paying attention.

Her gaze was on the couple standing on the other side of the room, and her expression only got worse and worse. In no way did she resemble a happy birthday girl.

Today was her birthday, and he came. . . Yet he brought the woman that she hated! And now, they were hugging, kissing, and acting all romantic during her birthday party. Were they purposely trying to make her uncomfortable and lose face?

"Sister Kexin! That woman is so shameless! Today is your birthday party, and she is doing. . . that in front of you. Sister Kexin, that woman doesn't deserve Gu Yechen. In this world, only you are good enough to stand next to him." The girl wearing the pink dress stood next to Gu Kexin and said angrily, loud enough for the two of them to hear.

Gu Kexin clenched her fists and teeth together as she narrowed her eyes.

The music changed and Gu Yechen finally let go of He Xinyan's lips. They walked to the dance floor together and began dancing.

It was a slow dance, and He Xinyan rested her head against Gu Yechen's chest as they slowly moved across the room.

Gu Kexin's lips and hands twitched in anger as she watched He Xinyan look up and whisper something to Gu Yechen, and he whispered something in return.

'When is grandma going to do something?!' Gu Kexin thought angrily. She wanted He Xinyan gone! Dead, if that was the only way.

Gu Kexin pulled out her phone and texted the contact labeled grandma.

'Grandma, when is He Xinyan going to leave?! She came to my birthday party today, and she is ruining my party!'

Inside the Gu mansion, Wang Yani picked up her phone and read the message.

Great. . . Everything was going according to plan.

A smile appeared on her face and she thought for a few seconds before she replied.

'Don't worry, Xiner. It will happen very soon.'

Gu Kexin read the reply and frowned before closing her phone and putting it back into her purse.

"Sister Kexin, don't be mad. Let's go eat some food!" The girl in the pink dress pulled Gu Kexin over to the food tables and picked up several plates.

At this time, there were only a few couples still dancing on the floor now.

Many had stopped to look at Gu Yechen and He Xinyan, because it was indeed a very beautiful sight. They looked like a couple from heaven. . . or hell.

The black and red matched each other very well, and it looked both sexy and angelic.

From the side, Gu Kexin watched them angrily, clenching the glass of champagne in her hands so tightly that it almost seemed like the glass would crack.

Her original plan was to ask brother Yechen to dance with her when he arrived. Since she was the birthday girl and everyone would be watching, there was no way he would disagree.

However, now her plan had been ruined. All because of He Xinyan!

Now, she was all alone standing in the corner with no one to dance with, as she didn't want to dance with some random guy. Some random guy being anyone other than Gu Yechen.

"Is Gu Kexin looking at us?" He Xinyan asked Gu Yechen, her voice loud enough for only the two of them to hear.

Gu Yechen looked up quickly before looking back down, "I think so."

"What does I think so mean?" They turned a direction and He Xinyan tried to look over at where Gu Kexin was, but Gu Yechen's tall and broad body blocked her view.

She tilted her body over to the side and her eyes landed on Gu Kexin right as Gu Kexin's eyes also looked at her.

Their eyes met in midair and He Xinyan didn't look away or act like she had been caught. Instead, she smiled gently before looking back at Gu Yechen's chest.

"Yes, she is looking at us."

"Cool," Gu Yechen responded, obviously not caring. He didn't care that basically more than half of the guests were watching him and He Xinyan right now. He only cared about the woman dancing with him.

He Xinyan smiled slightly as they continued to dance.

"What are you going to do?" She asked again.

"Do what?" Gu Yechen raised one eyebrow, turning her in one direction.

"Your grandma obviously doesn't like me and wants to separate us and merge you together with her baby granddaughter, Gu Kexin. And, from what I know about your grandmother, she obviously isn't going to stop easily. So. . . what is your plan?" He Xinyan looked up at him curiously.

"I don't have one."

He Xinyan's smile disappeared, "You don't have one? Excuse me."

Gu Yechen chuckled softly, "Why do I need a plan?"

"Because. . . because. . ."

"Don't worry, that old woman is no threat to me."

He Xinyan couldn't hold in her laugh. Old woman?! How could he call his own grandma "old woman"? Hahahaha! That was a perfect name though.

"But still! It is uncomfortable if she keeps trying to push Gu Kexin over and disturbing us."

"Disturbing us?" Gu Yechen raised one eyebrow as he leaned down slightly, "What are we doing that they have to disturb? Maybe if we are actually doing something. . . during the nighttime that can't have disturbance, then I might think of something."

He Xinyan scoffed and rolled her eyes, not feeling embarrassed by Gu Yechen's dirty words anymore.

"Whatever, whatever. Hmph!" The music stopped and the two of them walked away from the dance floor. As they did, Gu Kexin immediately ran over.

"Brother Yechen, since it is my birthday, can you. . . do we. . . Can we dance for one piece?"

Gu Yechen's gentle expression immediately turned cold as he glanced at Gu Kexin, "I don't want to dance with you."
