He Xinyan clapped her hands together happily and looked towards Gu Yechen.

"When it is time for the board of directors meeting, can Mr. Qu come with me so he can explain it to everyone, and Bai Jiawei won't be able to deny it."

Gu Yechen nodded, "You heard Mrs. Gu. You can give her your contact information so she can contact you when it is time for the meeting."

"Yes, President Gu." Qu Fei gave He Xinyan his phone number unde Gu Yechen's scary glare, although he was the one that told Qu Fei to do so.

He Xinyan happily stood up and bowed slightly to show her gratitude towards Qu Fei, because "someone" wouldn't let her shake his hand.

He Xinyan quickly returned to the He Corporation so she wouldn't be gone too long, and she sat down inside her office.

She read through the will once more and a smile crossed her face.

She's ready. Now, all she had to do was wait for the board meeting.

A week went by quickly, and it was almost time for the board meeting. He Xinyan had prepared everything and organized it so she was ready to go.

After work, she returned home. She was about to step into Gu Yechen's house when she suddenly received a message.

"Come back home tonight."

He Xinyan furrowed her eyebrows together and read Bai Jiawei's message twice. She switched over to text Gu Yechen that she would be a little late today before walking down the front porch and over to the He mansion.

Once she walked in, she saw Bai Jiawei, Li Huiran and Li Yuyan all sitting on the couch. This sight was never a good sign.

"Xinyan, you're back!" Bai Jiawei stood up with a smile, which was even a worse sign.

He Xinyan raised one eyebrow and sat down on the empty couch, "What is it?"

Bai Jiawei wasn't pleased with her attitude, but he also sat down and went straight to the point, "Yanyan, I have something to disc- tell you."

He Xinyan crossed her arms together and glanced at Li Huiran and Li Yuyan, "What is it?"

"You have been the CEO of the company for quite a while now. During this time, Yuyan has also been working hard in the company and contributing a lot."

He Xinyan licked his lips as she had a basic guess of where this conversation was going to go.

"So, I have decided to make Yuyan the vice president of the He Corporation." Bai Jiawei tried to stay calm as he firmly stated his "decision".

"I object your decision," He Xinyan said softly.

"Why?! What power do you have to do that?!" Li Yuyan jumped up angrily and pointed one finger at He Xinyan. She had lost the opportunity to be CEO because of He Xinyan, so she wasn't going to let He Xinyan steal away her chance to be vice president anymore.

"The power of the CEO and director on the board."

Bai Jiawei cleared his throat, "Xinyan, why are you so against your sister? You are the CEO, so you can help your sister."

"First of all, it is stepsister, not sister. Second of all, just because she is my stepsister and your daughter doesn't make her eligible for the position of vice president."

"Well, then why are you the CEO?!" Li Yuyan glared at He Xinyan.

"Because this is my company sooner or later," He Xinyan looked at Li Yuyan like she was looking at a clown.

Hearing this, Bai Jiawei immediately frowned.

"Well, I am the chairman of the He Corporation right now, and I am still the biggest shareholder. So, I declare that Li Yuyan will be the vice president," Bai Jiawei said firmly.

"Oh, really? Are you the biggest shareholder?" He Xinyan leaned forward and smirked.

"Of course!" Bai Jiawei cleared his throat, "He Xinyan, you are getting more and more disrespectful towards me and your Auntie Li, and also your sister Yuyan! This is very bad! There is no need for further discussion. Yuyan will be the vice president starting from tomorrow! I will also notify the board of directors in the next meeting."

Bai Jiawei stood up to leave, but He Xinyan also jumped up.

"Li Yuyan will not be the vice president!"

Li Yuyan glared at He Xinyan and jumped forward, but Li Huiran stopped her.

"He Xinyan!" Bai Jiawei glared at He Xinyan with his face slightly red. He needed to get his authority back! He Xinyan was getting more and more out of hand!

"Dad, as the CEO and future leader of the company, I think that I have a huge say in this. Li Yuyan will not be the vice president!" He Xinyan stared straight into Bai Jiawei's eyes.

"As the biggest shareholder of the company and the chairman, I have a bigger say!"

He Xinyan stepped forward, "Are you the biggest shareholder? Dad, how many shares do you have?"

Bai Jiawei broke their eye contact guiltily and took a deep breath, "Your mom gave all her shares to me to control until I retire, then it will be given to you."

"How many shares is that?" He Xinyan crossed her arms together with a smile.

"31 percent!" Bai Jiawei waved it off, "Stop going off topic. He Xinyan, I don't care if you are the CEO. The company is mine right now, and Li Yuyan is going to be vice president!"

Bai Jiawei can't lose any more power, or else the company will actually fall into He Xinyan's hands. His only other choice was Li Yuyan, so he had to push her up for now. After He Xinyan was gone, he could think of the rest.

"It doesn't matter if she does, because the company will be mine soon. Once it does, she will have to leave anyway."

"He Xinyan! You b****!" Li Yuyan stood up and she looked like she was ready to slap her, but Li Huiran pushed her back down again.

"Xinyan, don't be so rude to your dad." Li Huiran stood up, "I don't see why Yuyan can't be the vice president. It is not good to be so petty and selfish."

He Xinyan grinned, "Are you saying I'm petty and selfish?"

Li Huiran rolled her eyes and sat back down.

"Yes, you are! He Xinyan, you have to get it clear! The company is mine right now! Mine! I will make Li Yuyan the vice president!" Bai Jiawei stomped one foot on the ground and turned around to leave.

"We will see what the board of directors think."

"They will agree with me!" Bai Jiawei turned around and screamed.

"Once the company comes to me, I don't think they will anymore."

Bai Jiawei lost it when he heard her, and he swiftly lifted his arm up and slapped He Xinyan across the face. He Xinyan wasn't looking his way, so she couldn't defend herself.

The force caused her to fall back, and her body hit the hard hand rest of the couch.

Li Huiran and Li Yuyan were shocked for a second before Li Yuyan began laughing.

Hearing the laughter, He Xinyan looked up and gently touched her red cheek. She could stand words, but violence. . . that was a different issue.

"See! What did I tell you? Be more respectful, or else this is what you will get." Li Huiran said with a smile as she took a sip of tea.

He Xinyan knit her eyebrows together. Did Li Huiran forget about something?

That's fine. . . She can remember for her!

"You better shut your mouth up or else I will slap you again! As your father, I have the right to punish you if you do something wrong! The company is mine right now, so I have the biggest power, you understand?!"

He Xinyan took a deep breath and pushed herself up from the ground. It wasn't time to get rid of Bai Jiawei yet, so she couldn't fight back as of now. However, it was a different case for the two other people inside the room.

"Wait right here." He Xinyan glanced at Li Huiran and Li Yuyan, who were very happy about He Xinyan getting slapped. However, the smile on their faces won't stay for much longer.

She walked up the stairs with Bai Jiawei screaming behind her, "Where are you going?! Do you understand?! He Xinyan!"

Inside her bedroom, she unlocked the top drawer of her nightstand and took out a black folder. She locked the drawer again before leaving her room.

Bai Jiawei was still screaming downstairs when she walked back down.

"Calm down, dad. I sincerely apologize for my behavior just now. To express it, I have prepared a gift for you." He Xinyan bent down to pick up her phone and opened up a recording.

'From when you first met Li Huiran to how Li Yuyan came to be to. . . just everything! Well, I first met Li Huiran. . .'

At once, Li Huiran's body tensed up and she glared at He Xinyan.
