Gu Yechen looked up with a smile and put down his chopsticks, "What is it? I'm happy to answer."

He Xinyan stood up and walked to her bag to grab her phone, "Here. Listen to this recording."

A few minutes later, Gu Yechen had a frown on his face.

"Do you understand?" He Xinyan asked although it was a dumb question. What did Gu Yechen not understand? You can just say one word, and he could guess what was going on.

He nodded his head and leaned forward, "What do you want to ask me?"

He Xinyan closed her phone and scrunched her face up, "Why do you think Bai Jiawei is doing this? I know he is a greedy person, but I don't think he is dumb enough to embezzle money from the company and risk getting caught just so he can have some more money to spend."

Gu Yechen nodded and grinned, "My baby is quite smart. I don't think so either."

He Xinyan flipped her hair dramatically, "Of course I'm smart! I take after my boyfriend!"

Gu Yechen smiled, "After thinking about it, there are a few possibilities. I think from what I know about Bai Jiawei, there is one that may be likely."

He Xinyan smiled, "What is it?"

Gu Yechen crossed his hands together, "Bai Jiawei should know that this company won't be his forever, right? It may be under his control now, but it will go to you sooner or later."

He Xinyan frowned, "Of course! The only problem now is that my mom said it will go to me once Bai Jiawei retires, but I don't know if he will actually retire when it gets to the time to."

Gu Yechen nodded, "Okay, so here is my guess."

He Xinyan cooperated and wrapped her arms around his neck before leaning in and kissing him on the lips. This kiss lasted for about a minute, and He Xinyan had to pull away because she was out of breath.

"So eager today," Gu Yechen said as he licked his lips with a very, very sexy expression.

He Xinyan stuck her tongue out playfully and moved around as a signal that she wanted to get down, "We haven't even finished dinner yet!"

"I'm full now," Gu Yechen said playfully.

"Ch! I'm not!" He Xinyan said as she tried to reach the floor, but Gu Yechen wouldn't let her.

"Then it seems like I have to feed you more," Gu Yechen said as he bent down slightly and pressed his lips onto hers again.

In the end, He Xinyan wasn't able to eat her dinner well because Gu Yechen wasn't being cooperative. She angrily marched home and entered her room to get ready for bed.

As she was about to crawl onto her bed, there was a knock on her door and it opened.

He Xinyan looked around to see which annoying person it was, and indeed, it was a very annoying person.

"Dad, what are you doing here?"

Bai Jiawei grinned and walked in. He put the pile of folders he was holding in his arms onto her table.

"Here are the reports for this month. I fixed the mistake so you can look at it now."

He Xinyan flipped through the report on top and nodded, "Okay."

Bai Jiawei turned around to leave but He Xinyan suddenly stopped him.

"Dad, what was the mistake?" She asked as she raised one eyebrow.

Bai Jiawei froze as he slowly turned around, "Um. . . It was just a number mistake in the marketing department. Nothing important, but I wanted it to be right since this is the first time you are looking at a monthly report."

Bai Jiawei smiled awkwardly and gulped, "Good night."

He Xinyan nodded, "Good night."

He Xinyan locked the door after Bai Jiawei left and tossed the folder she was holding back onto the desk. She crawled into the blankets right as the door slid open and Gu Yechen stepped in.

He Xinyan glared at him and he shamelessly walked in and laid down next to her.

"Good night, baby," he said as he kissed her on the cheek.
