"Yi Shao, can I borrow your phone?" He Xinyan had lost her phone from the explosion, and she was longing to contact the outside world by now.

Yi Qiansi looked up from his food and smiled gently, "Why?"

He Xinyan trusted and liked Yi Shao by now. He was really considerate and nice, and she felt very lucky to be saved by a person like him.

"My friends and family must be very worried about me right now. I would like to contact them to tell them I am okay."

Yi Qiansi smiled, "Okay. However, you can only contact one person."

He Xinyan blinked a few times and slowly nodded her head. One was better than none.

"Who is that?"

He Xinyan smiled, "My boyfriend."

Yi Qiansi sat up straighter, "What is his number?"

He Xinyan told him Gu Yechen's number and stretched her arm out eagerly. However, Yi Qiansi didn't give him his phone so quickly.

"You can call him, but there are some rules."

He Xinyan raised one eyebrow, "What rules?"

"You can't tell him where you are or who I am, understand?"

He Xinyan knit her eyebrows together suspiciously, but she nodded her head in agreement. What was important right now was to get in touch with Gu Yechen. The rules didn't matter much.

Yi Qiansi smiled and handed the phone to her.

He started eating again, and would look up at her once in a while.

No one picked up the first two times, and the call only went through the third time.

"Who is it?" The man's voice was hoarse and a little frustrated, but He Xinyan could still recognize that it was Gu Yechen.

Once she heard him, she felt her eyes warm up, and she forced herself to not let the tears fall out.

"Me -" He Xinyan said, her voice a little choked up.

There were several seconds of silence, and He Xinyan almost wondered if Gu Yechen had left. Finally, there was the sound of a deep breath and he spoke again.

"Xinyan?"

He Xinyan smiled, "Yes it's me."

Gu Yechen sat up straight on the couch and turned on speaker mode, "It's really you?"

He Xinyan chuckled slightly as she wiped her tears, "It's me, Gu Yechen!"

"You're alive! Where are you? Are you okay?" Gu Yechen immediately jumped up and went to grab the landline phone to call Chen Xiao.

He Xinyan looked up at Yi Qiansi when she heard Gu Yechen's question, and she cleared her throat before saying:

"I'm okay. A kind person saved me before the explosion. He also helped me recover, so I'm okay now."

"He?" Gu Yechen asked, the sour tone in his voice was evident.

He Xinyan didn't know if she should laugh or cry, "Gu Yechen!"

Gu Yechen chuckled lightly. This was the first time he had smiled in a very long time.

"Okay, okay. Where are you now? I'll go get you."

He Xinyan pressed her lips together, "I don't know where I am right now. Don't worry about it. I will be back soon. I just called you to tell you that I am okay and you don't have to worry."

Gu Yechen furrowed his eyebrows together, "It's okay. Ask the person who saved you. I'll go get you."

"Gu Yechen, I'll come back by myself very soon. Don't worry. I need you to do something else while I'm still recovering."

Gu Yechen wasn't very happy with her plans, and he sighed, "What is it?"

"I don't think this was an accident. I thought it was weird that there were no cars on the street that morning. Suddenly, the truck came at us, and the driver definitely saw us. After hanging up the call, He Xinyan took a deep breath before handing the phone back to Yi Qiansi.

He Xinyan smiled sweetly, "Of course."

Yi Qiansi nodded his head and continued to eat. After they finished the main course, the maids brought out the dessert, which was slices of strawberry cream cake.

He Xinyan's eyes lit up when she saw the cake. Her appetite wasn't really good the past few days, and it finally returned a little today.

"How did you know I like strawberry cake?!"

Yi Qiansi smiled, "Really? I like it too."

He Xinyan widened her eyes and took a big bite of the cake, "It's so good!"

Yi Qiansi watched her eat before slowly taking a bite himself.

He Xinyan realized that she had a lot of similarities with Yi Shao. Whether it was food, color, movie, or more, they seemed to all coincidentally have the same likings.

This was another factor in why He Xinyan was beginning to like and trust Yi Shao more and more.

Yi Qiansi leaned forward and used his napkin to wipe the corner of He Xinyan's lip, "Be careful."

He Xinyan's eyes widened slightly as her hand froze in midair. Only after several seconds did she snap back to reality.

She quickly looked down and continued to eat.

What just happened? It was almost like she was put under a spell. It was like her consciousness couldn't control her brain, and all she could do was let Yi Shao help her wipe her lips.

He Xinyan pressed her lips together. Indeed, it was easy to get lost in beautiful things.

Yi Qiansi smiled when he saw her reaction, and he slowly took another bite of the strawberry cake.

Yi Qiansi wasn't a gentleman, and he wasn't a considerate person either. He also didn't coincidentally have common interests with her.

He just knows everything about her. . . to better lure into his trap.
