Bai Jiawei and Li Huiran went to go pick Li Yuyan up from the airport, and they were all in a very good mood.

Li Yuyan ran over to them, "How did it go?"

"Sh!" Bai Jiawei said firmly and pulled her out of the airport and into the car.

Once they were inside the car, Bai Jiawei calmed down a little.

"So how did it go?" Li Yuyan asked again.

Li Huiran straightened her back a little and smiled brightly, "She's gone! He Xinyan is dead! Yuyan, the company will be yours soon!"

Li Yuyan's eyes also widened and she clapped her hands together, trying to suppress her excitement and happiness.

Her voice was slightly shaky as she said, "It's a pity that Yanyan had to die though. . . But, I will definitely work hard to build the company up."

Bai Jiawei smiled, "Remember, you don't know anything about this. Understand?"

Li Huiran and Li Yuyan both nodded their heads.

Inside the airport, a very eye-catching man was also patiently waiting.

He was still in his normal black suit and although his facial expression was very cold, the excitement and gentleness in his eyes was unmistakable.

As people walked by, they couldn't help but look at him, but no one was brave enough to walk over and try to strike up a conversation.

One by one, groups of people walked out from the arrival gate, but the person the man was waiting for never showed up.

However, he was very patient.

The arrival time was supposed to be 11 P.M., and there was no delay. Mostly all of the passengers had arrived already, and no one was coming out from the arrival gate anymore.

Gu Yechen took a look at his watch and frowned slightly.

He continued to wait until a worker finally came out and closed the arrival gate door.

Gu Yechen quickly ran over and stopped him.

"Excuse me, are there no more passengers from flight number HZ3701?"

The worker looked back, "No, sir."

"Are you sure?"

"One second, please." The worker walked back and talked with someone for a few seconds before returning.

"No, sir. There is no one on the plane anymore."

"What about security? Or any place in between?" Gu Yechen knit his eyebrows together and grabbed the worker's arm tightly.

"I can't be sure, sir. There are a lot of passengers in security all the time. However, the passengers for flight HZ3701 left over an hour ago. They shouldn't still be in security unless something happened."

The worker walked away, and Gu Yechen returned to waiting.

He stood there for another two hours, and during this time, he called He Xinyan seven times. Every single time, no one answered.

Gu Yechen grew a little anxious as he walked over to security and asked them to broadcast He Xinyan's name over the speakers.

Gu Yechen then waited at security for another hour, but still, no one showed up.

The sky was dark already, and it was time for dinner.

Gu Yechen walked around the airport and dialed He Xinyan's number once more. Still, no one picked up.

He marched out of the airport angrily, and Chen Xiao was waiting for him outside.

"You have until tomorrow 8 A.M.! Investigate! Where is He Xinyan?!"

Chen Xiao gulped and quickly started the car.

For the past five days, the boss's temper was really bad. Chen Xiao was so excited and happy that Mrs. Gu was coming back today, but. . . why was boss angry now?!

From the looks of it, it seems like Mrs. Gu was missing.

Chen Xiao gulped and drove a little faster. It seemed like he would have to suffer for a while longer.

Inside the Xihe Estates, a house was celebrating.

Bai Jiawei, Li Huiran, and Li Yuyan sat together at the dinner table, raising their glasses in the air happily.

Li Yuyan was sitting in He Xinyan's normal spot, and she was very happy and proud about it.

Since the argument, Li Yuyan hasn't seen Su Zhiming since then. He also moved out of the house, and although they weren't divorced yet, it seemed like it.

"Cheers!" They all said as they drank the red wine inside the glass.

"Congratulations, Yuyan. You will be CEO very soon!" Li Huiran said, her face a little red from the wine and from happiness.

Li Yuyan flipped her hair happily, "Thank you, mom. Thank you, dad! I will work hard!"

They seemed to have already forgotten about the dead He Xinyan, but nobody cared.

This was probably the happiest and most cheerful mood they had this entire year, and they went to sleep early that day.

However, another person was up all night. Gu Yechen couldn't fall asleep the entire night, and he must have called He Xinyan over a hundred times.

He didn't return to his house in the Xihe Estates, but instead, he went to his own near the beach.

The next morning, Chen Xiao arrived at Gu Yechen's house at exactly 8 o'clock in the morning.

The door immediately opened when he knocked, and he was slightly surprised when he saw Gu Yechen.

Gu Yechen's eyes were red, and his eye bags were really dark. His hair was messy and it was clear that he didn't shave this morning.

"Come in." Gu Yechen walked into the house and turned on the television. The first station was the news, and he didn't change it.

"Go get me a cup of water."

"Yes sir!" Chen Xiao quickly dropped the folder he was holding and ran into the kitchen to pour a glass of water.

When he came back, he saw Gu Yechen sitting on the couch, and his eyes were focused on the television screen.

Chen Xiao looked up and immediately saw a scary and messy scene.

There was a ton of smoke in the air, and in the back, you could also see the bright orange color of a flame.

" - an accident on XX Street of Country Z. At approximately 7 A.M. in the morning, a taxi cab was hit by a black truck. This is a hit and run case, and the black truck did not have a car plate number on it. The police are currently investigating, and hopefully, the criminal will be caught soon."

The reporter took a step to the side, "Let's take a look at the live scene from the location of the accident. The temperature in the room was so cold Chen Xiao wouldn't be surprised if an icicle popped out from the roof right now.

He gulped and glanced at Gu Yechen, who was still sitting on the couch.

This was also what he had found out, and Chen Xiao was originally very scared to tell Mr. Gu. However, it seemed like he wouldn't need to now. . .

Gu Yechen closed the television and suddenly stood up. He turned around, his face expressionless.

"Investigate. I don't care how, but you have to find her. Understand?!"

Chen Xiao rushed out of the house and closed the door quickly. As he drove, he prayed that nothing bad had happened to Mrs. Gu. If something did, his life would be over!

Chen Xiao could already see into the future of how Gu Yechen would behave if Mrs. Gu was gone!

Chen Xiao hoped that Mrs. Gu was still alive, but from the looks of the accident. . . It didn't seem very likely.

Inside the mansion, Gu Yechen hadn't moved since Chen Xiao left. His face was as pale as a sheet of paper as he fell back down onto the couch.

He slowly closed his eyes and leaned back.

He Xinyan, you have to be okay.

Inside a large palace.

The hallways were empty, and they were lit up by dim torches on both sides. The sound of waves crashing onto the rocks could be heard from inside the hallways.

In the middle of the palace, there was a large room.

The room was dimly lit and there were three people in the room.

One was standing near the wall, and his body was hidden in the shadows.

Another man was kneeling next to the bed, and he was wearing a doctor's white robe.

There was also a woman laying on the bed with her eyes closed.

A few seconds later, the man kneeling on the floor fell backward.
