He Xinyan was about to run off when a strong force suddenly pulled her back and she landed on Gu Yechen's lap once again.

"Ah -" He Xinyan couldn't even finish her scream when her mouth was blocked again, and the familiar taste entered her mouth.

"Gu -" Her word was cut off by the entrance of Gu Yechen's tongue.

After a very long kiss, he finally let go and smiled when he saw He Xinyan's red cheeks.

"Good job."

He Xinyan glared at him angrily, "What?!"

"Don't you dare leave me. You can only be with me and marry me, understand?!" Gu Yechen's tone was serious as he stared directly into He Xinyan's eyes.

She looked away and bit her lips, "Who said anything about marriage?"

"Understand?" Gu Yechen asked again, a little louder this time.

He Xinyan pursed her lips out, "Okay, okay!"

She jumped off of his lap and glared at him, "You're so scary!"

Gu Yechen was pleased with her answer, and his serious expression disappeared. He walked over to his desk and sat down.

"I still have some work to do. When I'm done, do you want to go eat dinner together?"

"Okay," He Xinyan nodded her head and walked over to Gu Yechen. She crossed her leg over his lap and sat down.

Gu Yechen looked at her amusedly and went to work with He Xinyan on top of him.

The familiar smell was like a sleeping potion to He Xinyan, and she quickly fell asleep. When she woke up again, they were in the car.

"Where are we going?" He Xinyan asked as she rubbed her eyes.

"To go eat dinner."

After dinner, He Xinyan and Gu Yechen returned home.

The next day, He Xinyan went to work and for the first time, she didn't know what to do. She couldn't raise the price, or else the He Corporation would lose money and Bai Jiawei wouldn't be happy.

However, there was no way she could agree to his term.

On the other hand, Li Yuyan had left again for another shot. She arrived at the LIQuan Company and rode the elevator up to the CEO's office.

She knocked once before walking in with a smile. Lu Yingjun frowned when he saw her, and he stopped typing.

"Miss Li, what are you doing here for?"

Li Yuyan walked over to him, "President Lu, I have my proposal now. Would you like to look at it?"

Lu Yingjun turned his chair around slightly to be facing her, "Sorry, Miss Li. I have a meeting soon. You can keep it here and I will look at it later."

Li Yuyan's smile stiffened before it returned back to normal, "Okay."

She bent down to put the folder onto the table, and when she did, she "accidentally" tripped and fell right onto Lu Yingjun's lap.

"Ah!" She gasped and placed one hand onto Lu Yingjun's chest.

He immediately knit his eyebrows together.

Li Yuyan was obviously too stupid to realize his annoyance, and she moved slightly on his lap, "President Lu. . ."

To her surprise, Lu Yingjun didn't fall for her at all, and instead, he stood up, causing her to roll onto the ground with a plump.

"Ah!" Li Yuyan screamed, placing one hand onto her bottom, which was aching in pain.

Lu Yingjun grabbed a tissue and wiped the part of his pants that Li Yuyan had sat on and glanced at her, who was still on the ground.

"Miss Li, I believe that you are married already. Please watch your actions."

He threw the tissue into the trash and walked out of the room. A few seconds later, a worker walked in and politely told Li Yuyan to get out.

Li Yuyan's face was red as she left the LIQuan Company. It was good that she didn't fall on her stomach, since her pregnancy was still not very stable. She had to be careful.

Li Yuyan groaned in frustration before returning to the He Corporation.

Two days later, it was time for the result.

Everyone gathered in the meeting room, and He Xinyan wasn't in a very good mood. After the meeting, she didn't go and find Lu Yingjun anymore.

He Xinyan had no choice but to give up on this round. There was no way she would give up Gu Yechen for this competition.

After everyone had sat down, Bai Jiawei entered with Lu Yingjun walking behind him.

Bai Jiawei pulled out a chair for Lu Yingjun before sitting down himself.

"I believe that we all know what we are here for, so let's not waste time and get started. President Lu, I believe that you have your decision made already. Are you willing to give the He Corporation the honor to work with you?"

Lu Yingjun glanced at He Xinyan, who was playing around with her fingers and sighed.

"Yes."

Bai Jiawei's face lit up happily, and she glanced at Li Yuyan from the corner of his eyes. He didn't know who actually won, but Li Yuyan didn't look so confident.

Bai Jiawei gulped and cleared his throat, "Then President Lu will have the honor to announce the winner of the first round!"

Lu Yingjun stood up and opened his mouth, but no words came out for a few seconds. He Xinyan looked up when she heard the silence, and her eyes met with Lu Yingjun's.

She quickly looked away and pressed her lips together.

"President Lu?" Bai Jiawei whispered because Lu Yingjun wasn't saying anything.

"President Bai, can you give me a moment? I would like to speak to someone before making the decision."

Bai Jiawei raised one eyebrow in confusion, ". . . Of course! Who would you like to speak with?"

Lu Yingjun walked around his chair and to the door, "He Xinyan."

Outside the meeting room, Lu Yingjun and He Xinyan were alone together.

"President Lu, what is it that you want to tell me?"

Lu Yingjun frowned as he stared at He Xinyan's calm expression.

"He Xinyan, I want to give you another chance. If you agree to be with me now, the win will still be yours."

He Xinyan grinned, "President Lu, I am not sure what you like about me, but I can't agree."

Lu Yingjun furrowed his eyebrows together. Since first meeting her at the lecture, he had been interested in her for a long time.

When he recently got news that the He Corporation was going to pick a CEO and she was a candidate, he immediately volunteered his company to be part of the competition.

Lu Yingjun sighed, "You're sure? You won't regret it?"

He Xinyan smiled, "I won't regret it."

Lu Yingjun sighed before opening the door and walking back into the meeting room. He Xinyan followed him, and all eyes turned around to look at them.

Both Bai Jiawei and Li Yuyan had a very ugly expression on their faces, and they thought that Lu Yingjun had gone to talk to He Xinyan about her win.

Bai Jiawei gulped and rubbed his hands together. It would be bad if He Xinyan won this round. . . That would mean she only had to win one more to win!

Lu Yingjun faced all the shareholders and cleared his throat, "I announce that the winner of the first round is. . ."

He looked towards He Xinyan and frowned before saying, "Li Yuyan."

Li Yuyan's mouth fell open in surprise, and she wondered if she had heard wrong. Lu Yingjun had been so cold towards her, and she was certain that she had lost.

This unexpected turn of events was a huge surprise.

Bai Jiawei fought the urge to clap his hands together from excitement, but he couldn't hide the smile on his face.

"Okay! Good job, Yuyan. The win of the first round goes to Li Yuyan. Thank you, President Lu, for your help."

Lu Yingjun glanced at He Xinyan once more before leaving the room.

Li Yuyan finally recovered from her shock, and she sat up straighter as she looked towards He Xinyan proudly.

To her surprise, He Xinyan didn't seem very shocked or unhappy. Instead, she was very calm as she sat with her arms and legs crossed.

Li Yuyan felt her happiness wash away slightly because of He Xinyan's reaction, but she was still excited. She only needed to win one more, and she would be the CEO of the He Corporation!

By then, He Xinyan would have to listen to her, and everything would be hers!

Li Yuyan smirked as she looked towards Bai Jiawei, and they smiled at each other.

Some of the shareholders were also surprised and unhappy that Li Yuyan won the first round. They were the ones that watched He Xinyan grow up from a baby, and of course they wanted He Xinyan to become the CEO.

They all knew that He Xinyan was more capable, and she was also the rightful heir as her grandfather's granddaughter. Li Yuyan had no part in this!

Some of the shareholders sighed and looked down. They couldn't say anything, because they had agreed to this competition and the rules.

Bai Jiawei cleared his throat and smiled, "Now, let's introduce the second round."
