"Dad, is everything okay?"

Shen Lihao opened his eyes, "The company is okay now. Xiner, did you offend Gu Yechen recently?"

Shen Xiner blinked a few times and gulped to try and hide her guilt, "No, why?"

He was about to tell her when a worker came over and placed an envelope onto the table, "Sir, a person came a while ago and gave me this. He told me to give it to you."

Shen Lihao grabbed the envelope and opened it. There was a plane ticket to Country X inside. Country X wasn't very far away, but it would be difficult to see Xiner from now on if she really left. All he could do now was to bet that Gu Yechen would let her come back in the future.

Shen Lihao put the ticket onto the table, "Xiner, I don't know what you did, but Gu Yechen is mad. He made a deal with me to stop attacking the company. He -"

"It was brother Yechen that caused that?!" Shen Xiner asked with shock and fear in her eyes.

"Yes, and he said you offended his. . . woman." Shen Lihao said, still a little confused. However, Shen Xiner understood. She knit her eyebrows together in surprise. She had seen that the Qi Corporation had collapsed and she guessed that Gu Yechen was probably mad. However, she didn't think he would take it out on her and the company!

Plus, why is he still with that stupid b****?! Shouldn't he be disgusted by her?!

"Anyway, I made a deal with him. He stopped attacking the company but he said that you have to leave to Country X and never come back."

Shen Xiner's heart dropped as her face turned white.

Li Peiyu jumped forward, "What?! How could you agree?! We can't send Xiner away!"

"I know! Do you think I want to?! However, would you rather have the company collapse?! We would be living in debt!"

"Whatever! We can't send Xiner away!"

Shen Lihao slammed the cup of tea onto the ground, causing it to shatter into pieces. He was very annoyed too.

"I don't want to either! But do you want to have to sell the house and live under a huge pile of debt?! Plus, my father started the company and I can't ruin it! We have to take this deal! Maybe Gu Yechen would let Xiner come back in the future, but once the company collapses, it won't be able to come back ever again!"

Li Peiyu closed her mouth and didn't say anything more. Of course she didn't want to live under debt. . . She was used to life as an upper-class woman now. How could she let go of it? But Xiner was her only daughter!

Li Peiyu walked away and pulled out her phone. The call went through after a few seconds.

"Mengya, your son went too far!"

Xu Mengya frowned hearing Li Peiyu talk about her son, "What are you talking about?"

"You heard the news about the Shen Corporation, right?"

"Yes, I wanted to call you and -"

"That is caused by your son! He attacked the Shen Corporation and now he wants for us to send Xiner to Country X and have her never come back!"

Xu Mengya blinked a few times in surprise as she looked up at Gu Hanyu, who was peeling an orange for her.

"I didn't know about this. Let me call him."

Li Peiyu hung up and walked back into the living room. She gently patted Shen Xiner's back.

"It's okay, Xiner. I called Xu Mengya already. They have to give us an explanation!"

Shen Xiner's face was still white as she fell down onto the couch. She knew the explanation better than anyone. . .

Xu Mengya immediately called Gu Yechen right away, and the call picked up after several beeps.

"Yechen-ah, did you cause what happened to the Shen Corporation today, and are you forcing them to send Shen Xiner away?"

Gu Yechen smirked, "They are very fast to complain."

"You did?!" Xu Mengya's eyes widened, "Why?"

"Shen Xiner bullied your daughter-in-law, is that reason good enough?"

"WHAT?!" Xu Mengya jumped up and Gu Hanyu looked at her weirdly.

"I always knew that Shen Xiner wasn't some good girl! You can tell just from looking at her mom! How dare she bully Yanyan! She better leave this country! Goodbye, Yechen, I got to go respond to them. You did well this time, Yechen!"

Gu Yechen smiled at his mom's dramatic reaction and placed his phone back onto the table.

Li Peiyu immediately jumped up from the couch when she heard the phone ring, and she quickly grabbed it.

"Mengya, did you ask him?! You have to give us an explanation!"

"What explanation?"

Li Peiyu's mouth fell open, "Of course an explanation for why he is doing this?! Of course our Xiner can't leave! You are a mother too, you should understand!"

Xu Mengya smiled, "If you want an explanation, you should ask your lovely daughter what she did. She should know."

Then, Xu Mengya hung up.

"You -" Li Peiyu was so angry her face was slightly red. She threw the phone back to the table and sat down.

"What did Auntie Xu say?" Shen Xiner asked.

"She said that you should know what you did! What does that mean?!" Shen Xiner looked down immediately and pressed her lips together.

Shen Lihao sighed, "Our only option now is to have Xiner leave. After this wave passes, we can ask them again to bring her back. Xiner, me and your mom will definitely bring you back. You are our only child after all."

Shen Xiner looked up and bit her lips unhappily, "But dad. . ."

"There is nothing else we can do. Unless you want to give up the upper class and your role as the heir and young miss of the Shen family." Shen Lihao knew that her daughter was materialistic, and all he could do now was try to convince her.

Shen Xiner nodded her head as a tear rolled down her cheek.

The next day, Shen Xiner boarded the plane and left Country Z. Li Peiyu fainted from sadness after her daughter left, but there was no going back now.

Shen Xiner made the wrong decision. . . so she had to pay the price.

He Xinyan heard of the news that night Shen Xiner left. Her eyes widened as she heard Gu Yechen tell the exciting story.

"Really?! So she's gone?!"

Gu Yechen nodded her head.

"Yes!" He Xinyan bounced on the bed happily. She wasn't going to feel bad for Shen Xiner! She had to come and bother her first, so why should He Xinyan feel bad for her?

Gu Yechen grinned when he saw her happy, "Remember, if you ever need any help with anything, you can always come to ask me."

He Xinyan nodded her head, "Of course!"

She was joining the He Corporation tomorrow. She would be starting off as a low worker with Li Yuyan, and they will be doing the work of many departments to get used to how the company runs.

"Go to sleep now. You have to wake up early tomorrow," Gu Yechen said with a smile.

"Good night!"

"Good night."

The next morning, He Xinyan woke up to her alarm clock at 7 in the morning. She had to wake up early to prepare for the first day of work. Although the company was definitely going to her, she still wanted to make a good impression as a new worker of her company.

He Xinyan grabbed her car keys and left the house to go get coffee before going to work.

Almost an hour later, she arrived at the company.

He Xinyan got out of the car and looked up at the tall building.

He Xinyan clenched the cup of coffee tighter as she read the two words. He Corporation. . . That was hers! She wouldn't let her grandpa's hard work land in the hands of outsiders!

He Xinyan smiled before entering the building. When she walked in, several people turned to look at her. Maybe it was because of her eye-catching beauty, or maybe some people had seen her before on the news, but He Xinyan attracted a lot of attention.

He Xinyan entered the elevator and clicked the top floor. Since there were a lot of people on the elevator, it took a while for it to reach the top floor.

She stepped out and walked past the few people who were already at work. At the end of the floor, there was a large room.

'Chairman's Office,' was written in gold on the door.

He Xinyan didn't knock as she opened the door because she assumed that Bai Jiawei would probably not be here yet.

She stepped in and raised one eyebrow in surprise when she saw another person in the room, sitting on the couch.
