She was asleep.

Gu Yechen slowly lifted her out of the bathtub and carried her out of the restroom, even though she was dripping wet. He set her down onto the bed and covered her with a blanket.

"She's asleep?" The man asked, "That was faster than I thought. Don't worry now. After she wakes up, it should be good now."

Gu Yechen nodded, "Okay. You stay here. I will open a room for you."

The man rolled his eyes annoyingly, "Presidential suite!"

"Whatever."

The man snapped his fingers together and happily left the room.

After the door closed, Gu Yechen sat down on the bed and held onto He Xinyan's hand.

He furrowed his eyebrows together, 'Shen Xiner. . .'

He Xinyan slept very well, and only woke up the next morning.

The redness on her face had disappeared and the first thing she saw after opening her eyes was Gu Yechen.

"Are you feeling better?" Gu Yechen asked as he pulled out his phone to get the man from yesterday back over here.

He Xinyan nodded her head and moved her upper body over to Gu Yechen, wrapping her arms around his waist.

Gu Yechen gently brushed his hands through her hair until there was a knock at the door.

"I'll be right back." Gu Yechen slowly stood up and walked over to the door. He opened it and immediately walked back to the bed. A man followed behind him.

He Xinyan raised one eyebrow when she saw a stranger.

The unknown man immediately walked over and smiled brightly, "Hello, sister-in-law! I am Zhao Qi! We met at your birthday party a while ago!"

To be honest, He Xinyan didn't really remember. There were too many handsome men at her birthday that she totally forgot which was which!

He Xinyan chuckled awkwardly, "Oh, Zhao Qi! Of course I remember you!"

Zhao Qi beamed and pulled out a handkerchief, "Let me take your pulse."

He Xinyan looked up at Gu Yechen, and he smiled at her reassuringly.

"Don't worry. He is probably the best doctor in all of Country Z. He is the chief physician at the Jinxi Hospital."

He Xinyan's mouth fell open in shock. The chief physician at the Jinxi Hospital?! That was the best hospital in the country!

She immediately stretched her arm out to let Zhao Qi take her pulse.

After a few seconds, he removed the handkerchief from her waist and stood back up.

"Don't worry, sister-in-law is healthy now! Just make sure to get some rest and eat some food so your energy comes back. The medicine took up a lot of your energy."

He Xinyan nodded her head, "Yes, yes! Thank you very much, Zhao Qi!"

Zhao Qi smiled and scratched the back of his head.

"You can go now." Gu Yechen said coldly as he pushed Zhao Qi aside so he could sit down on the bed.

Zhao Qi rolled his eyes, "Ch!"

He lifted his chin up and walked out of the room.

"Go to sleep and get some more rest. I'll go get some food."

He Xinyan obediently nodded her head. She lifted the blanket up, but her round eyes were still wide open as she stared at Gu Yechen.

"What are you looking at me for? Go to sleep."

He Xinyan gulped, "Are you not mad?"

"Mad at what?"

"Well. . . I. . . I kind of caused a lot of trouble for you. I didn't think that Shen Xiner would have bribed the coffee maker before I arrived! I'm sorry. . ."

Gu Yechen smiled gently, "I'm not mad and you don't have to be sorry. Don't worry and just get some rest, okay?"

"Really?" He Xinyan asked softly, blinking her eyes innocently.

"Yes." Gu Yechen leaned forward and kissed her on the forehead as reassurance before standing up, "I'll go order some food and wake you up when it's here."

"Okay!" He Xinyan said before going to sleep.

About two hours later, He Xinyan woke up, not because Gu Yechen called her, but because the delicious smell of food was too strong.

She rubbed her eyes and slowly pushed herself up from the bed. She was indeed very tired, and she barely had the energy to walk.

"Wow! What did you order?"

"I just got a little bit of everything. You should eat more."

The two of them sat down to eat and halfway through the meal, He Xinyan ran over to open the television.

The first thing that came up was the news station, and He Xinyan was about to skip when the word, 'bankrupt' caught her eyes.

" - and less than one hour ago, the Qi Corporation's stock dropped rapidly. The drop was so sudden, no one predicted it. In less than half an hour, the Qi Corporation's stock collapsed. Nine minutes ago, the chairman announced that the company is bankrupt."

He Xinyan was still slightly conscious when Gu Yechen had arrived, and she heard that man say who he was.

"Did you do this?" He Xinyan turned around and asked.

Gu Yechen took a bite of the food and nodded his head.

He Xinyan widened her eyes and dropped the TV remote, sitting back down onto her seat. Suddenly, she raised her left arm and gave Gu Yechen a big thumbs up.

"You're the best, Mr. Husband! Mwah!" He Xinyan blew him a cheesy kiss and smiled brightly. She did not feel bad at all for that Qi person. He deserved it!

Gu Yechen licked his lips to try and hide his smile from being called 'Mr. Husband', but it was obvious in his expression and eyes that he was very happy.

He took another bite of rice and looked up, "It's not over yet."

"Hm?" He Xinyan looked up with confusion.

Gu Yechen smiled, "He wasn't the only one involved. Shen Xiner is next."

He Xinyan blinked a few times and didn't respond. Of course she wasn't going to help Shen Xiner, because she deserved it too. However, weren't the Gu family friends with the Shen family. If he were to do something bad, would Gu Yechen's parents blame him?

He Xinyan chewed slowly and decided to not think about it. She trusted him.

Plus, Shen Xiner deserved it.
