"Why weren't you wearing underwear today?"

Li Yuyan opened her mouth, "I. . . I. . ."

Her eyes darted around nervously before she said, "I was! But I went to the restroom and it got dirty so I had to take it off. I didn't know something like that would happen!"

Su Zhiming knit his eyebrows together, "Really? Why did it get dirty?"

Li Yuyan gulped, "Well, um. . . I had to use the bathroom, but I held it in, so a little of it got on my underwear."

Su Zhiming looked down, "Oh well. Let's go to sleep."

Li Yuyan nodded and quickly crawled into the blankets, letting out a breath of relief. Su Zhiming also laid down with his back facing Li Yuyan, and she pressed her lips together unhappily.

Li Yuyan sighed and closed her eyes.

The next morning, He Xinyan woke up confidently, long after the sun had woken.

She blinked her eyes a few times to get used to the light and looked up at Gu Yechen, who was awake already.

"Good morning."

Gu Yechen ran his fingers through her hair, "Good morning. . . I'll go make breakfast. You keep sleeping if you're tired."

He Xinyan shook her head, "I'm not tired anymore! I'll go help. . . set up the table!"

Gu Yechen smiled sweetly and the two of them got out of the bed. After brushing their teeth and washing their face, they went downstairs to the huge kitchen.

The house was much larger than the one in the Xihe Estates, and He Xinyan was certain that if it weren't for Gu Yechen guiding her, she would be lost.

Gu Yechen cooked breakfast and they ate together before returning to the Xihe Estates.

The next day, He Xinyan woke up really early because it was the last day of filming! She had three scenes today in the morning and she was finished!

Gu Yechen was still sleeping, so she tried to move cautiously. However, as she tried to escape from Gu Yechen's embrace, his arm around her tightened.

She sucked in a breath and tried again, but failed.

After several attempts, she heard a voice above her head.

"What are you doing?" Gu Yechen asked.

She looked up and grinned, "I have to go. Filming."

Gu Yechen wasn't very pleased and he lifted He Xinyan's chin up to kiss her. Before letting her go, he bit her lip gently and finally released his hand and mouth.

He Xinyan frowned and used one finger to touch her mouth. Was he punishing her? Ch!

She ran into the bathroom and quickly got ready to leave. When she stepped out of the restroom, the bed was empty and she walked over to the balcony to see that no one was there either.

However, there was a fresh rose on her nightstand like every other day.

He Xinyan left the house without eating breakfast and arrived at the filming location half an hour later.

Gu Yebei, Wu Minger, and Yang Siyue had already arrived, and Wu Minger immediately ran over when she saw He Xinyan.

"Xinyan, I found two dramas that you can pick from! I don't know if you can get the female lead role, but the other available roles are also very good!" Wu Minger said as they walked to the changing room together.

He Xinyan smiled at her, "I'm going to leave the entertainment industry after this film."

"What?!"

"I have other things to do."

Wu Minger frowned, "What things?"

"Don't worry about it. I'm going to go change. Talk to you later!" He Xinyan entered the room and quickly changed into her costume.

The day went by quickly and He Xinyan successfully finished filming her last scene after lunch.

"Cut! Perfect!" Director Ma stood up from his chair and walked over to He Xinyan. He stretched his hand out and He Xinyan politely shook it.

"Great job, Xinyan! It was really nice working with you!" Ma Qiaoqi smiled happily and one of the workers came over with a flower for He Xinyan.

"Thank you!" Concubine Xi's role in the film was quite important, so He Xinyan was also well-respected in the crew.

"Thank you, Director Ma."

Gu Yebei and Yang Siyue also came over with flowers and handed them to He Xinyan.

"Little Yanyan, great job!" Gu Yebei smiled and pushed the flowers into He Xinyan's arms.

"Congratulations!" Yang Siyue also handed He Xinyan flowers and blew her a kiss. As the lead roles for the drama, Gu Yebei and Yang Siyue still had more scenes to film. They will be finished about a week from now.

"Look! Who is that?" Suddenly, there were several gasps as people whispered about something. He Xinyan turned around curiously and saw someone at the back of the crowd.

It was easy to notice him because he was tall and handsome. He Xinyan's face lit up when she saw the person's face and she immediately ran over.

"Yechen!" He Xinyan was going to hug him but she couldn't because of all the flowers she was holding. She quickly ran back and dumped the flowers onto her chair before going back to Gu Yechen.

He also held a bouquet of red roses, and He Xinyan wondered if they were from the patch of roses at Gu Yechen's mansion.

She happily received the flowers and grabbed onto his hand.

"Congratulations, baby." Gu Yechen said, gently patting her head.

"Thank you!"

"Is that He Xinyan's boyfriend?" The workers nearby began gossiping about the gorgeous couple.

"I think so. Look how close they are together. They look so cute!"

Gu Yechen gently brushed He Xinyan's hair to the back of her head, "Let's go eat. I'll treat you to whatever you want."

He Xinyan jumped up happily and handed the flowers back to Gu Yechen, "I'll go change!"

She thanked the director and other workers once more before going to change back into her casual clothes. After changing and saying goodbye to everyone, she left happily.

The flowers filled up over half of the car trunk, and the red roses were especially eye-catching because of their bright color.

They entered the car and drove to do He Xinyan's favorite thing, eat!

At the same time, another black car was driving up a road. They stopped in front of a house and a woman stepped out from the car.

She was wearing a white blouse on the inside, and she wore a pink plaid blazer on the outside. She wore a matching plaid skirt on the bottom, and it was a wonder how she wasn't cold in a skirt that short.

She walked up to the house and rang the doorbell. As she waited, she removed her sunglasses and put on a smile.

The door opened and a woman peeked her head out from behind the door. Her eyes widened when she saw who it was.

"Xiner, what are you doing here for?!"

Shen Xiner smiled, "Auntie Xu, I'm here to visit you!"

Xu Mengya was obviously not very happy as she reluctantly let Shen Xiner into the house. They sat down together on the couch and Shen Xiner smiled.

"Auntie Xu, you look even prettier than last time I met you!"

Xu Mengya grinned, "Thank you. What are you here for, Xiner?"

Shen Xiner pressed her lips together and put on a pitiful expression, "Auntie Xu, have you met with brother Yechen's girlfriend yet?"

Xu Mengya's face brightened at the mention of He Xinyan, "Yes, I have! It's a relief that Gu Yechen inherited his dad's talent in having a good taste for women!"

Shen Xiner's smile stiffened when she heard Xu Mengya's words and she gulped, "What does that mean, Auntie Xu?"

"I like her a lot! I'm hoping Yechen can marry her quickly so she will become my real daughter-in-law!"

Shen Xiner's face turned green and she couldn't keep her smile anymore, "But. . . But Auntie Xu! I am brother Yechen's fiancee! What will I do?"

Xu Mengya's eyes widened in surprise, "Fiancee? Why do I not know about this?"

Shen Xiner grabbed onto Xu Mengya's hands, "What do you mean, Auntie Xu? Didn't you and my parents say I would marry brother Yechen?"

Xu Mengya frowned with confusion, "Did we? When?"

"Yes! When we were young!"

Xu Mengya smiled awkwardly and pushed Shen Xiner's hands away, "Xiner, that never happened. Maybe that's what your parents told you, but it is not true. They did talk about it a few times, but we never agreed. Me and your Uncle Gu both think that love should come naturally. We never agreed to an arranged marriage."

Shen Xiner's face paled as she heard Xu Mengya speak.

"Xiner, don't be stuck on this, because we never agreed to it. Plus, Yechen has found his partner now! I. . . I like you too, Xiner! But it seems like you and Yechen don't have the fate to be together."

Shen Xiner was at a loss for words, "Auntie Xu. . ."

"Ah, just let go, Xiner. I have to go take an afternoon nap now, so I can't talk to you now. You can come and visit me later!"

Shen Xiner clenched her fists together but she couldn't say anything. She stood up from the chair and grabbed her bag, "Goodbye, Auntie Xu."

She turned around and ran out of the house.

Xu Mengya sighed and shook her head as she walked up the stairs to go take a nap.
