However, Li Yuyan wasn't wearing any underwear!

The dress stuck to her body because it was mermaid style and it was wet, so it was even more clear.

The hair on her private part was also clear and several people began whispering amongst themselves.

"She isn't wearing underwear!"

"Why isn't she wearing underwear to an event like this? What is she thinking?"

There was a giggle, "I don't know. Maybe she wants some stimulation."

There was some quiet laughter but Li Yuyan heard it. She screamed and used her hands to cover the wet part of her dress.

She didn't wear her underwear because Liu Wei had ripped it and she didn't have any extra! Who knew this would happen?

"He Xinyan!" Li Yuyan screamed.

He Xinyan also noticed and her first reaction was to run to Gu Yechen. She used both hands to cover Gu Yechen's eyes and said fiercely, "Don't look!"

"At what?" Gu Yechen's eyes were on He Xinyan the entire time and he didn't even know what happened. He just saw He Xinyan push a glass away from her. . . Why is everyone overreacting?

Everyone walked over to see what was going on, including Bai Jiawei, Li Huiran, and Su Zhiming.

Li Huiran immediately ran over to her daughter in shock, "What happened?!"

A few people had pulled out their phones and were probably filming, and it only made Li Yuyan more embarrassed as her face turned red as a tomato.

"He Xinyan!" Li Yuyan said, lifting one hand up to point at He Xinyan. "It's her!"

Li Huiran obviously couldn't stand her daughter being embarrassed and humiliated in public like that, and she scrunched her face up in anger as she turned around to glare at He Xinyan.

"You! How can you be so disrespectful?! Plus, today is Yuyan's birthday! Even if you don't like her, you shouldn't do that to her! What a disgusting b****! You deserve to -"

An old man stepped forward and put one hand up, shutting Li Huiran up. He was one of the largest shareholders of the He Corporation, and was also best friends with He Xinyan's grandpa. He was one of the few talking with He Xinyan before the incident happened.

"Mrs. Bai, please calm yourself."

"How can I? Do you -"

"Mrs. Bai!" The man said fiercely, "We all saw. Your daughter was the one who first tipped the glass, and Miss He only moved it away from her as an act of self-defense. You can't blame her. It is your daughter's fault for not holding the glass properly."

Many of the other people around when the incident happened also nodded their heads in agreement.

"Yes, I saw it too."

"Me too."

"That's the wife of President Bai, right? So rude. . . It's obvious she doesn't have any manners."

"I know right. . . She's President Bai's second wife, right? I think she wasn't born as an upper-class woman."

"Yeah, I think so. No wonder why she is acting so unpleasantly."

Many people were still filming, and some stared at Li Huiran with disgust. All of the guests today were from the upper class, and they looked down at Li Huiran for acting like a shrew.

Most women in the upper class wouldn't scream like that, even in a situation like this. It was unfit for people of their status. So, many of the women and men watching looked at Li Huiran judgementally.

Li Huiran obviously noticed the glances she was receiving, but she was still furious that her daughter was humiliated like that.

"So what?! He Xinyan did it on purpose! I'm sure she -"

Bai Jiawei suddenly stepped forward and pulled Li Huiran back with an angry expression.

"What?! Let go of me!"

Bai Jiawei pinched Li Huiran's arm hard, causing Li Huiran to scream in pain.

"Shut up!" Bai Jiawei said in Li Huiran's ear quietly, but also with a fierce tone.

"Are you not embarrassed enough?! Stop acting like a crazy woman and shut up! You screaming won't fix anything. Do you want to lose any more face!"

Li Huiran gulped as she could hear the anger in Bai Jiawei's face. Although she was still angry, she didn't scream at He Xinyan anymore. She had lost her self control and now she didn't just embarrass Li Yuyan, but also herself!

He Xinyan slowly moved her hands away from Gu Yechen's eyes after he had promised several times he won't look since he didn't even know what he was supposed to be looking at!

He Xinyan glared at him cautiously before slowly looking back at Li Yuyan and Li Huiran. Gu Yechen did keep his promise, as his eyes glued onto He Xinyan.

He didn't even know that Li Yuyan was a part of this party! So why would he look at her?

"Auntie Li," He Xinyan said with a smile. "Yuyan walked over and tilted her glass. The champagne almost spilled on me. Isn't it natural for me to defend myself and try to push the glass away? It's called natural instinct."

Li Huiran opened his mouth but Bai Jiawei pinched her again, so she stayed silent.

"Okay, okay. Stop crowding around here. The party is finishing soon," Bai Jiawei said, although it wasn't even 10 P.M. yet. He couldn't stand being here any longer. It would just be more embarrassing.

Some of the people listened and moved away, but several still stayed to finish filming.

"Even if it was on accident, why isn't that woman wearing underwear? Who doesn't wear underwear to public places?"

"I know right!"

People began gossiping amongst themselves, and Li Yuyan was on the verge of tears. She ran off with Li Huiran following behind her and the entire incident was over.

A few minutes later, the guests began leaving because the party had officially turned into a joke. In less than 20 minutes, everyone had left.

Li Yuyan and Li Huiran returned back to the lobby after everyone had left, and Bai Jiawei immediately stood up from the chair he was sitting on when he saw them.

He Xinyan took a step back and rested her head onto Gu Yechen's chest, waiting to watch the show.

"You two?! Are you stupid?!"

Li Yuyan and Li Huiran both looked down and didn't say anything.

"I shouldn't have allowed you to have a birthday party, Li Yuyan! I should have known that with you and your stupid mom, you two would definitely mess it up!"

Li Yuyan bit her lips as a tear rolled down her cheek. She had changed into a random set of clothes from who-knows-where, and if she had said she was the birthday girl today, no one would believe her.

"Li Huiran, it seems like you didn't learn your lesson at all! You are still as embarrassing and ill-tempered as before! Li Yuyan was embarrassing enough, and you just had to make it even worse!"

Li Huiran also looked down and didn't say anything, her face a little green.

He Xinyan, on the other hand, was enjoying this very much. However, the next second, the attention was turned onto her.

Bai Jiawei knit his eyebrows together, "Why did you announce that you would join the company in front of everyone without my permission?! Are you purposely trying to make it difficult for me?"

He Xinyan took a step forward and smiled innocently, "Why is it difficult for you? I should join the company early. After all, the company will be going to me sooner or later. It will be a good experience for me to join early."

Li Huiran lifted her head at He Xinyan's words, and a dangerous sparkle flashed past her eyes. Of course she couldn't let it go to He Xinyan!

Bai Jiawei was also unhappy. To be honest, he didn't want the company to go to He Xinyan either. He couldn't control her anymore, and she was becoming more and more like her mother and grandfather. Bai Jiawei didn't like this feeling. In comparison, he would rather it go to Li Yuyan.

That way, he would still be able to be in charge. Li Yuyan was much less clever than He Xinyan, and it would be easier to control Li Yuyan.

However, Bai Jiawei couldn't say any of this out loud. After all, He Xinyan was the rightful heir to the company. All of the shareholders would support her, and if he refused, he would put his position and power in danger.

Li Huiran pressed her lips together and she couldn't hold it in anymore.

"Yuyan should go too!" She blurted out.

Everyone looked at Li Huiran, except Gu Yechen, whose eyes were still on He Xinyan.

Li Huiran smiled and stepped forward, "After all, Yuyan is your daughter too. It will be good for her to get experience in the company. It is bad for her to stay home all day, and the entertainment industry isn't fit for her. She could learn from joining the company as an intern!"

"No." Bai Jiawei said immediately, "All she will do is embarrass herself."
