Late into the night, Gu Yechen entered the room to see He Xinyan not asleep yet.

Upon seeing Gu Yechen, He Xinyan immediately jumped up and ran over.

"Tomorrow is Li Yuyan's birthday party! You want to come with me?"

Gu Yechen pointed to his lips and He Xinyan rolled her eyes. However, she still leaned forward and quickly kissed him.

"Okay," Gu Yechen said with a smile, completely forgetting about the board meeting tomorrow. Nothing was as important as his wifey!

He Xinyan smiled happily. She wanted Gu Yechen to attend because she was planning something important for tomorrow.

The next day, Li Yuyan and Li Huiran left early in the morning to go to the hotel and make sure that everything is set up correctly.

After lunch, Bai Jiawei also left so only He Xinyan was at home. The party started at 5 at night, so what was the point in going so early?

When it was 4, He Xinyan put down her phone and changed into her dress.

She had randomly picked a dress from her closet to wear because she wasn't going to spend the money to buy a new one just for Li Yuyan's birthday.

The dress was a white A-line evening gown with a small chapel train behind it. It had sleeves that reached her elbows, but it was see-through.

The dress overall was a little translucent, because the material was quite thin. Especially in the upper body, her skin could be seen, but the chest area was covered with beautiful butterfly embellishments of light pink and blue.

The lower part of the dress also had a few butterfly embellishments, so it looked like they had landed on her dress.

After putting her hair up into a messy bun and wearing light makeup, He Xinyan left the house. To her surprise, Gu Yechen was already waiting for her outside.

He was in an all-black suit like always, but it still looked very handsome.

Gu Yechen stood up straight when he saw his angel and he helped her open the car door.

He Xinyan's outfit today did make her resemble an angel, with the white dress trailing after her, and the butterflies moving with each step.

She lifted the dress up and got into the car. A few seconds later, Gu Yechen also entered but he didn't start the car immediately.

He turned to look at her with a smile, "Baby, you look gorgeous today. . . Well, actually you do every day."

A blush immediately spread across He Xinyan's face as she looked away, "Thank you. . ."

Gu Yechen's grin widened when he saw He Xinyan embarrassed, and he started the car with a smile.

He Xinyan felt her heart race the entire ride out of the Xihe Estates, and it didn't stop for a long time. In her past life, she didn't try to dress up very well, although she did occasionally. Even so, Su Zhiming never complimented her so directly.

He Xinyan smiled sweetly.

About half an hour later, they stopped in front of the hotel. Gu Yechen got out of the car first and helped open the door for He Xinyan.

Together, they walked into the hotel, attracting stares from many people.

The party was taking place in the first-floor lobby, and a lot of the guests had arrived already. Bai Jiawei, Li Huiran, Su Zhiming, and Li Yuyan were standing at the door, greeting the guests coming in.

He Xinyan scoffed when she saw them. So, she was a guest too?

No. He Xinyan raised one eyebrow as she straightened her back a little. They were the guests. She was the owner.

Su Zhiming's eyes lit up when he saw He Xinyan, and he gulped as he took a small step forward. Bai Jiawei also noticed her, and he was about to scold her for coming so late when he saw Gu Yechen.

He laughed awkwardly, "President Gu, what an honor! You're here too! Come in, come in!"

Gu Yechen ignored Bai Jiawei as he walked in, pulling He Xinyan in with him. Bai Jiawei was going to ask He Xinyan to come and greet guests with them, but his words got stuck in his throat when Gu Yechen pulled her away.

In the end, He Xinyan got to sit and talk to Gu Yechen whereas the rest of the "family" greeted the guests.

Before long, the party began.

People began dancing and eating because it was close to dinnertime. It was a time for socializing, and the guests enjoyed it.

He Xinyan first ate a bunch of dishes before going to dance with Gu Yechen. She had learned ballroom dancing before because it was necessary for many upper class social events.

Obviously, Gu Yechen had also learned, because he was very good at following and leading He Xinyan across the floor.

As they danced, they attracted many eyes, because it was just too ethereal. It was like watching a princess and a prince dancing.

Many female guests were daydreaming about dancing with Gu Yechen, and the male guests couldn't tear their eyes away from He Xinyan.

Li Yuyan was also dancing with Su Zhiming, but she could feel all the attention on He Xinyan and Gu Yechen. Li Yuyan's hand on Su Zhiming's shoulder tightened and in the end, she stopped dancing.

"I'm tired. Let's go eat something."

Su Zhiming didn't care much, because he didn't really enjoy dancing with Li Yuyan. He followed Li Yuyan over to the tables of food and grabbed a glass of wine.

As he drank, he would glance at He Xinyan once in a while.

She seemed to be talking with Gu Yechen, and she smiled sweetly as she spoke.

Su Zhiming's expression darkened slightly as he put the glass of wine back down onto the table. He turned around and was surprised to see a woman standing right in front of him.

Qin Ruolin smiled sweetly, "Hello, Mr. Su."

Su Zhiming raised one eyebrow, "You are?"

"Mr. Su, I'm Qin Ruolin. I met you at your father-in-law's birthday party a while ago."

Su Zhiming opened his mouth slightly, "Oh, I remember. Is there anything I can help you with?"

Qin Ruolin smiled, "Would you like to dance with me?"

Su Zhiming raised one eyebrow and looked to his side to see Li Yuyan still glaring at He Xinyan. He grinned and stretched his hand out, "Sure."

Only until Su Zhiming and Qin Ruolin were on the dance floor did Li Yuyan notice. She clenched her teeth together angrily and wanted to scream. However, she had to hold it all in. Today was her birthday! She was the star.

Li Yuyan was about to walk onto the dance floor to pull Su Zhiming away when a skinny man about her height stopped in front of her.

At once, Li Yuyan realized who it was.

"President Liu!"

Liu Wei smiled creepily as he licked his lips, "I'll be waiting for you in the last stall of the women's bathroom. Lock the door when you come in."

Li Yuyan's eyes widened as she figured out what he meant, "There are so many people here today!"

"I found a role for Director Li An's new drama. Do you want it or not?"

Li Yuyan looked past Liu Wei at He Xinyan dancing with Gu Yechen and clenched her fists together, "Okay. I'll be there in a minute."

Liu Wei smiled satisfactorily before walking away.

A few minutes later, Li Yuyan cautiously entered the women's bathroom and locked the door behind her. She let out a breath of relief when she was inside.

After checking to make sure that all the stalls were empty, she stepped into the biggest stall to see that Liu Wei was already inside, without any clothes off.

Li Yuyan gulped and locked the door.

"Take off your dress."

Li Yuyan looked down and reached behind her to unzip the dress. The yellow gown fell down onto the floor and Liu Wei walked forward, pushing Li Yuyan onto the cold wall.

Li Yuyan still had her underwear on, and Liu Wei used his hand to rip it off. The fabric torn apart and fell onto the ground.

Several minutes later, they finished the first round and Liu Wei was about to start again when Li Yuyan stopped him.

"I can't!"

"Why?" Liu Wei was obviously not pleased.

"I. . . I'm pregnant."

Liu Wei raised one eyebrow in surprise, "Really?! Is it mine?"

Li Yuyan pressed her lips together and slowly nodded her head, "You can't tell anyone!"

Liu Wei's lips slowly curled up into a smile, "Keep it. . . Keep the child."

Li Yuyan looked down, "I will. But you can't let anyone know it is yours! I will keep the child, but in order to do so, I can't let anyone know it is yours."

Liu Wei ran his fingers down Li Yuyan's face, "Of course. I can't let anyone know either. After all, I am married too."

Li Yuyan's eyes widened in surprise. She didn't know Liu Wei was married.

"You -"

"Keep the child," Liu Wei said, cutting Li Yuyan off. He pulled away from her and put on his clothes again before quickly leaving the bathroom.

Li Yuyan stayed in the stall for a few minutes longer because she was too tired. Finally, she put on her dress again and her shoes.

The underwear was ripped so she threw it in the dress and walked out without wearing one.
