"Too sweet! I'm getting sour!" Wu Minger stood up and skipped away to go find Gu Yebei.

He Xinyan continued to knit, slowly picking up her pace. Autumn was starting in a few days, and she only just thought of the idea to knit Gu Yechen a scarf today, so she had to hurry. 

The temperature was slowly dropping and Gu Yechen had to climb up to her room every night in his black silk pajamas. A scarf would help, right?

Besides that, Gu Yechen was always giving her gifts. Anything she could buy with money, Gu Yechen could also buy.

So, she decided to create something for him!

For the next few days, He Xinyan went to the filming location even when it wasn't her time to film yet. In three days, she finished her scarf! 

The first day of autumn was tomorrow.

"Yes!" He Xinyan removed the scarf from her knitting needle and pulled on it to test its quality before wrapping it around her own neck.

"Perfect," she muttered as she stuffed it into her bag and stood up to go change. She had finished her scenes already, but she stayed to finish the scarf.

After returning home, she quickly hid the bag and got ready for bed. There was the sound of someone landing onto the balcony and Gu Yechen walked in. 

It had only been about four months since they first met, but it seemed like she knew him better than people she had been with for her lifetime.

She enjoyed spending time with him and she felt closer to him than most people. 

That seemed quite like fate to her. . . They were a match made in heaven!

"What are you thinking about?" Gu Yechen asked when he saw her giggle on the bed.

He Xinyan stuck her tongue out playfully and slid down into the blankets, "Nothing, nothing! Let's go to sleep!"

Gu Yechen kissed her on the forehead gently and closed his eyes.

The next morning, He Xinyan woke up earlier than Gu Yechen. Maybe because she was too excited, but she didn't sleep extremely well last night. 

She was in a state of being half-awake and half-asleep, and almost as if she was programmed to do so, she woke exactly when she had told herself to yesterday night.

She was very eager to give her gift to Gu Yechen and see his reaction. He would like her gift. . . right?

She quietly climbed out of bed and grabbed the bag from the drawer she kept her undergarments. He Xinyan placed it on the floor next to the bed and climbed into the blankets again.

Once she returned to the position she slept in, Gu Yechen opened his eyes.

He Xinyan flinched from surprise and her mouth fell open, "You're awake! When did you wake up?"

Gu Yechen raised one eyebrow confusedly, "Just now. Why are you so surprised?"

"Nothing, nothing!"

Gu Yechen was still suspicious as he placed one hand onto her waist, "Why are you awake so early?"

"I. . . I went to the restroom."

Gu Yechen stared into her eyes, making her look away guiltily, "Really?"

"Well. . ." He Xinyan wondered if she should just give it to him now. Finally, she mustered up her courage and sat up on the bed. Gu Yechen also sat up straight and looked at her amusedly.

"Well. . . Today is the first day of autumn. I. . . I. . ."

"You what?" Gu Yechen rested his head on his hand and grinned at her.

He Xinyan glanced into his eyes before quickly looking away. Whatever! She started already, so there was no going back now. She either gives it to him now, or there won't be a better opportunity to anymore!

He Xinyan turned around and bent down, picking up the bag from the floor. Gu Yechen watched as she placed it onto the bed and pulled out a grey scarf.

"I knit you a scarf. . ." He Xinyan said, looking down as she played around with the yarn on the scarf. 

"It's getting colder now. . ." He Xinyan pressed her lips together and didn't know what to say. She continued to play around with the scarf, waiting for him to say something.

However, all she heard was silence. Finally, after a long time, she lifted her gaze up and saw Gu Yechen staring at her.

She couldn't tell what she was seeing in Gu Yechen's eyes, but it was deep. . .

"You. . . Do you not like it?" He Xinyan asked, a little afraid. She knew it! She didn't have much time so her knitting wasn't perfect, and the scarf didn't look very nice either.

Of course he wouldn't feel good receiving a knit scarf from her after he had given her so much!

He Xinyan quickly stuffed the scarf back into the bag and licked her lips, trying to push down the disappointment.

"Never mind then. I -" Just as she was about to place the bag back onto the ground, Gu Yechen firmly grabbed onto her arm, stopping her.

"I like it."

He Xinyan blinked a few times, "You don't have to. . ."

"I actually like it." Gu Yechen seemed to have recovered from whatever it was, and he grinned as he stared at He Xinyan.

"I love it."

He snatched the bag away from He Xinyan and pulled out the scarf carefully, wrapping it around his neck.

"How does it look?"

He Xinyan smiled as the unhappiness and disappointment she was feeling disappeared. Maybe it was because she cared about him more, but she never felt so disappointed before. 

"Good!" He Xinyan said truthfully. Anything looked good on Gu Yechen!

He smiled and licked his lips, "You love me, right?"

He Xinyan frowned, "What?"

"Tell me you love me." 

Gu Yechen was always a confident and arrogant person. He didn't care what others thought about him, because most of the things others thought were good anyway.

However, he felt so insecure in front of He Xinyan. Their relationship didn't start off well, and although she had confessed her feelings to him already, he was still never confident in himself. 

He Xinyan was about to escape, but she stopped when she saw the anticipation and desire in his eyes. 

She cleared her throat and scratched her head, "I. . . I love you."

"Are you telling the truth ?" Gu Yechen asked with a serious expression. "Not because I told you to say it."

He Xinyan blinked and stared at the piece of grey around Gu Yechen's neck. 

She smiled and leaned forward, falling into Gu Yechen's embrace.

"I love you, okay?" She looked up at him and blinked a few times cutely, "I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you!! Happy now?"

Gu Yechen's serious expression slowly disappeared and it was replaced with a smile. He suddenly pressed his head down and used one hand to lift He Xinyan's face up.

Their lips touched and although He Xinyan's mouth was open, he didn't push his tongue into her mouth like most times.

The kiss was gentle and filled with love.

When it ended, He Xinyan felt her body seem to soften, and she rested all her weight onto his body. 

"I love you too. . ."

--- Three weeks later

The outside of the X Hospital was filled with people as patients of all ages walked in and out of the building. 

This was the local hospital in the north of Country Z, and most people came here to get diagnosed or for a check-up. 

It was almost noontime, and there were not a lot of people, because most of them were probably getting to eat lunch.

Inside the hospital, a woman was sitting on one of the chairs, waiting for her turn. She was wearing black sunglasses, and she seemed to be nervous as she looked around cautiously once in a while.

Finally, her name was called and she stood up, entering the room for her check-up. The doctor asked her a few questions and she answered them all honestly. 

After a while, she was sent to the restroom and she stayed in there for a few minutes before coming out. 

Then, she was back in the waiting area.

Another good 15 minutes passed before her name was called again. She went up and took a piece of paper from the nurse working there, and she folded it in half so the information inside couldn't be seen.

Without looking at it, she walked out of the hospital and into her car. 

Once she was in her car, she took off her sunglasses but didn't start the engine immediately. 

Very slowly, she lifted up the piece of paper the nurse gave her and unfolded it. She gulped and pressed her lips together as she opened her eyes and scanned what was on the paper.

She didn't even have to read every word on there to get the answer she was looking for. All she saw was:
