Xu Mengya smiled as she spoke.

He Xinyan felt her cheeks warm up a little and she immediately understood what Xu Mengya meant. But. . .

"If that stupid guy dares to bully you, just call me! I will help you to scold him!" Xu Mengya glared at Gu Yechen, who was speaking to his dad not so far away.

He Xinyan also looked his way and saw Gu Yechen turn his head around to look at her. Their eyes met midair and He Xinyan quickly looked away.

She looked at Xu Mengya and said, "Thank you, Auntie Xu."

'Thank you for being so considerate and caring towards me. . . Thank you for making me feel loved.'

Xu Mengya held He Xinyan's hands inside hers and smiled, "Silly girl, don't thank me. Remember to come to visit and play with me!"

"Okay!"

Xu Mengya grinned, "It's getting later. You two should go home now."

He Xinyan nodded her head. From what Xu Mengya said, it almost sounded like Gu Yechen and her were a married couple!

He Xinyan and Gu Yechen entered the car together and He Xinyan waved a final goodbye to Xu Mengya and Gu Hanyu.

Xu Mengya and Gu Hanyu watched as the car slowly drove off and disappeared. The two of them returned back into the house and entered their room.

They sat down together on the bed and Xu Mengya rested her head onto Gu Hanyu's shoulder, "Honey, I really like Xinyan."

Gu Hanyu nodded his head slightly.

"Let's have Yechen marry her."

Gu Hanyu nodded his head again.

"Then have them give birth to a cute grandson and granddaughter for us."

Gu Hanyu nodded his head once again.

Xu Mengya was lost inside her own imagination, and she didn't even notice the way the man next to her was staring at her.

At last, Gu Hanyu pulled Xu Mengya over and turned her head over to look at him.

"What?!"

"You have escaped too many times. Don't you think we should. . ."

Xu Mengya's eyes widened as she immediately sensed the danger coming up.

"Hahahaha. . . honey, what are you talking about?"

Gu Hanyu raised one eyebrow, "What do you think I'm talking about?"

"It's still daytime, Gu Hanyu!"

"Doesn't matter." Gu Hanyu immediately pressed Xu Mengya onto the bed and she shrieked in surprise. He then flipped around so he was on top of her and pressed down onto her.

It was already almost time for dinner when He Xinyan and Gu Yechen returned to the Xihe Estates. They parted ways as He Xinyan wanted to eat dinner at the He mansion.

Li Huiran was gone and Li Yuyan rarely came down for dinner anymore. How nice was that?

Several days had passed already and Bai Jiawei wasn't extremely mad anymore. He would still frown when he saw Li Yuyan, but nothing more than that.

He rarely came down for dinner too, and He Xinyan assumed that it was probably because he was remorsing over his nonexistent "son".

He Xinyan entered the house and saw the dining room to be empty like she expected. She sat down and a worker came out with several plates of food.

"Where is Li Yuyan and my dad?" He Xinyan asked as she picked up her chopsticks.

"Mr. Bai is inside his bedroom and Mrs. Su left the house a while ago."

He Xinyan raised one eyebrow. Left the house. . . to go where?

"Thank you." She lifted up her bowl of rice and began eating.

A few miles away from the He mansion.

Li Yuyan stopped in front of a door in one of the high-end hotels in Country Z.

Room 1721.

The hotel had 17 floors in total, and this was one of the few presidential suites on the top floor.

Li Yuyan rang the doorbell and a few seconds later, the door opened.

Li Huiran stood at the door and she smiled slightly when she saw her daughter. Her hair was messy and there were no traces of makeup on her face, revealing her wrinkles.

"Come in."

Li Yuyan followed Li Huiran into the room and noticed how messy it was. Her clothes were all over the place and there were several things on the floor.

Some items were broken into pieces, and Li Yuyan guessed that her mother had probably smashed them.

"Mom, what are we going to do?"

Li Huiran sat down on the couch and Li Yuyan sat across from her. Li Huiran pulled out a bottle of red wine from underneath the table and opened it.

She picked up a dirty glass and poured some wine into it before drinking.

"Oh, and I don't have enough money. Transfer some to me when you return home today."

Li Yuyan knit her eyebrows together, "Mom! What are you doing?!"

Li Huiran gulped down the wine, "What? You don't want to give me money."

Li Yuyan frowned and reluctantly said, "No, I'll give you money. But don't you want to go back? You can't just leave like this! We can't just give up!"

Li Huiran grinned, "Of course. But how will I go back now?"

There were a few seconds of silence before Li Yuyan said, "I'll wait a few more days until dad isn't so angry anymore, and I'll try to persuade him to give you another chance."

Li Huiran pressed her lips together, "Okay."

She put down the glass of wine and leaned forward, staring into Li Yuyan's eyes.

"Yuyan, you're our only hope now. You remember our life before we moved into the He mansion, right? It was horrible. We had no money and luxury items! You don't want to live like that again, right?"

Li Yuyan thought back to when she was young, and when they lived in that small and cramped house.

"No! Of course not!"

"Good! Mom can only depend on you. If you want to live a good life in the future, you have to work hard! Take everything from He Xinyan! It all belongs to us!"

A spark flashed past Li Yuyan's eyes and she nodded her head.

"Yes, mom!"

At night, Gu Yechen once again climbed onto the second-floor balcony and entered He Xinyan's bedroom.

He Xinyan smiled when she saw him. She had a great time today at his parent's house. She originally didn't have very high hopes for Gu Yechen's family, since the Gu family was a very powerful and prestigious family after all.

In almost every romance novel there was the mom of the male lead seemed to be very mean and was always strongly against the female lead being with her son.

However, to her surprise, it wasn't the same with her! Not only was Xu Mengya not mean and against her, but instead she was extremely nice and cute.

He Xinyan really liked Auntie Xu and she thought that she was very fortunate to have Gu Yechen's mom be such a nice and friendly person.

Gu Yechen got onto the bed and He Xinyan stretched her arms out.

Gu Yechen raised one eyebrow amusedly and licked his lips before grabbing onto her waist and pulling her in for a hug.

He easily lifted her up from the bed slightly and carried her over closer to him so she was sitting on his lap.

He Xinyan's eyes widened slightly as she rested her head onto Gu Yechen's chest.

"Am I that light?" She muttered to herself, but Gu Yechen heard her.

He looked down and placed his mouth close to her ear, so she could feel his warm breath, "Yes, you should eat more."

He Xinyan looked up, "Ch! Stop lying! I eat a ton already for a woman my size! Besides that, I am also an actress, so I have to maintain my shape!"

Gu Yechen pinched her waist gently, "Why are you an actress?"

"Are you stupid? Of course to earn money!"

Gu Yechen grinned, "Then you should quit. I can give you more money than you will earn in a lifetime being an actress. Instead of being an actress, why don't you switch a job?"

He Xinyan raised one eyebrow, "What job?"

"LImited edition and there is only one spot open. It is a permanent job for life and you get a lot of money without doing much."

He Xinyan furrowed her eyebrows together, "What is it?"

Gu Yechen suddenly leaned forward so their faces were a few centimeters away, "Gu Yechen's wife."

He Xinyan immediately felt her face warm up and she looked away, "I'm going to quit being an actress soon. I have other things to do."

Gu Yechen smiled and gently lifted her chin up, "Do what you want. I will always be there for you."

He Xinyan pressed her lips together. Why did this sound like a romantic confession to her?

Gu Yechen's eyes darkened a bit and he quickly leaned in and pressed his lips onto hers.

After a very long kiss, He Xinyan licked her lips embarrassedly and swiftly got off of Gu Yechen's lap. She flipped over and pulled the blanket over her face.

"Good night!"
