"Brother Yechen!"

He Xinyan also turned around and saw Gu Yechen step into the room. He closed the door behind him and frowned when he saw Shen Xiner.

The original smile on his face disappeared, and it was replaced with an icy and frigid expression, "What are you doing here?"

"Brother Yechen, I'm here to visit you! My mom said that she misses you a lot and that you should come over for dinner tonight!"

Shen Xiner put down her teacup and walked over to Gu Yechen, reaching for his arm. However, Gu Yechen swiftly took a step back and walked around her.

"Tell your mom I don't have time." He sat down next to He Xinyan and a small smile returned.

"Did you wait long? I'm sorry. We can go eat lunch now."

He Xinyan shook her head and put down the finished cake plate, "No, you could have taken your time! There is still so much food left!"

Gu Yechen looked at the stack of empty plates on the cart and chuckled, "How much did you eat? Do you still have room for lunch?"

He Xinyan nodded her head, "Yes! Of course!"

Gu Yechen smiled warmly and rubbed He Xinyan's head sweetly.

Shen Xiner's face darkened when she saw this and she walked over, "Brother Yechen. . ."

Gu Yechen didn't even turn around to look at her, "You can leave now."

Shen Xiner bit her lip pitifully, "But. . . then let's go eat lunch together! I can call my mom out right now!"

"I have an appointment already."

He Xinyan couldn't help but smile slightly. Did that woman say she was Gu Yechen's fiancee? Well, He Xinyan could totally tell that their relationship was super close and romantic!

Ch! Fiancee, my foot!

"Brother Yechen, can't you put off eating lunch with Miss He to eat with me and my mom?"

Gu Yechen turned around and glared at Shen Xiner coldly, "Do you actually think you are more important than her?"

He Xinyan cleared her throat and looked down. Well, Gu Yechen was quite direct. . .

"I. . ." Shen Xiner's eyes were red by now and she looked like she was on the verge of tears.

He Xinyan had to admit that Shen Xiner's white lotus act was quite skilled! Along with her cute looks, her pitiful expression even made He Xinyan feel bad for her.

However, it had no use on Gu Yechen.

He didn't even spare Shen Xiner another look and grabbed onto He Xinyan's hand, pulling her up from the couch. He walked out of the door with her and walked up to Chen Xiao.

"I don't want to see Miss Shen inside my office in the future without my permission. After she leaves, disinfect and clean every corner and surface of my office."

He Xinyan couldn't hold it in anymore and she laughed.

"What's funny?"

He Xinyan shook her hand, "Nothing. . . Nothing!"

"Understand?"

Chen Xiao silently cursed whoever had let Miss Shen in, "Yes, Mr. Gu!"

Gu Yechen turned around and walked with He Xinyan into the elevator. He clicked the first floor and the door closed.

When Chen Xiao walked into the office, Shen Xiner was sitting on the couch with her face buried inside her hand. From the noises, it seemed like she was crying.

"Miss Shen. . ."

"Get out!" A porcelain teacup came flying at Chen Xiao, but he swiftly caught it in his hand.

"Miss Shen, Mr. Gu asked me to escort you out of the Gu Corporation building."

Shen Xiner was still a proud peacock, and she quickly regained her composure. She wiped away her tears and stood up.

"I don't need you to escort me! I'll leave myself!" Shen Xiner walked straight past Chen Xiao and walked down the stairs proudly.

All of the workers on the top floor would glance at her from above their computer screens, but she ignored them.

She clicked the elevator button and the elevator quickly arrived. She stepped in and clicked the first floor.

Once the door closed, her tears flowed out again. No one treated her like that before! Even in the past times she visited, brother Yechen would still treat her politely. Although he was still cold, he never embarrassed her like this.

It was all because of that woman! That woman! Brother Yechen only treated her like this because of her! Shen Xiner gritted her teeth together tightly and clenched her fists together.

The elevator door opened and she stepped out, walking quickly out of the building. She entered the car and the driver didn't ask anything when she saw the young miss's bloodshot eyes. He started the car and the Shen family's car left the Gu Corporation.

Inside another car, someone was very nervous.

Gu Yechen cleared his throat, "Um, baby. . . Do you have anything to ask?"

He Xinyan had taken a plate of cake from the cart when they left, and she was eating it right now. She still regret leaving so much unfinished food back there.

"Yes. Where did you get all that food from?"

". . ." Well that wasn't what Gu Yechen was expecting. . .

"My assistant bought all of it. I will ask him."

"Okay!"

"Anything else?" Gu Yechen glanced at her.

He Xinyan ate the last bite of the cake and smiled satisfactorily, "No. . . Why?"

"Don't you want to know about Miss Shen?"

"Miss Shen. . ." He Xinyan raised one eyebrow, "Why? Is there anything I should know about?"

He Xinyan leaned closer to him and narrowed her eyes, causing Gu Yechen to look away.

"My family and the Shen family have some business ties, so we are quite close. I met Miss Shen a few times at gatherings and parties."

"Oh. . . so you two grew up together!"

"No! We barely know each other. I have seen her a few times but we never really talked."

He Xinyan nodded her head slowly, "Oh. . . nothing more than that? Nothing romantic?"

"No! Nothing!" This was the first time He Xinyan has ever seen Gu Yechen so nervous. To be honest, it was kind of amusing. This was exactly how she felt when he caught her with Su Zhiming!

Wait. . . it shouldn't be caught! She wasn't doing anything bad anyway. She shouldn't be nervous at all!

"Oh really. . . But Miss Shen said she is your fiancee."

The car halted for a quick second and continued, causing He Xinyan to fall forward and then back. It was good she was wearing her seatbelt.

"Sorry. . ." Gu Yechen pulled the car over and looked at He Xinyan carefully, making sure she wasn't hurt.

"Hm. . . you are very suspicious right now."
