"What's with all the commotion so early in the morning?" Bai Jiawei showed up in the dining room, and he was holding onto the hand of Li Huiran.

Li Huiran had one hand placed over her stomach, and although she wasn't even one month pregnant yet, she was walking like a pregnant woman.

"Dad," Su Zhiming quickly pulled his arm back and stood up.

Bai Jiawei nodded his head as a sign of acknowledgment before helping Li Huiran pull out her chair.

Li Huiran slowly sat down and Bai Jiawei also walked over to his chair to sit down.

"We will all have to be more careful now that Huiran is pregnant. I don't want to see any alcohol or smoking in the house. Be careful when you are walking around the house and don't carry anything sharp with you."

He Xinyan put down her fork and stood up. She had lost her appetite to eat.

"Where are you going?" Bai Jiawei asked with a frown. He didn't even finish talking yet.

"I'm done eating, why can't I leave?" He Xinyan smiled before walking out of the dining room.

Li Huiran watched this with a frown, but it soon turned into a smile. He Xinyan could only be rude and arrogant for so much longer. . . If she had a son, all of the power would be hers then.

Everything would go to her son and her.

Bai Jiawei was also not pleased with He Xinyan's attitude. He was liking this daughter less and less. . .

He looked down at Li Huiran's flat stomach and grinned. If it was a son, he would definitely give the He Corporation to his son.

A few minutes later, He Xinyan came down dressed in a casual black shirt and jeans. When he walked past the dining room, she didn't even look inside although Li Huiran and Su Zhiming both looked at her.

Li Yuyan was still sleeping so she was nowhere to be seen.

When Su Zhiming saw He Xinyan, he quickly put down his fork and knife and grabbed a napkin to wipe his mouth.

"I'm going to leave for work now. Goodbye." He drank some water before hurriedly standing up and running out the door.

Li Huiran watched this with an unreadable expression.

Outside the house, Su Zhiming quickly put on his shoes and walked down the patio.

"Xinyan!"

He Xinyan looked back and rolled her eyes when she saw Su Zhiming.

"Are you going to film?" Su Zhiming asked with a smile as he walked over to her, "I can take you."

"It's okay."

"No, I can! I am going to work too, so I can drop you off on the way."

He Xinyan looked at him, "Do you even know where my filming is? How do you know we are going in the same direction?"

"I. . ."

He Xinyan scoffed before turning around and walking down the last few steps of the patio. Su Zhiming quickly followed after her, trying to come up with another excuse.

"I -" Su Zhiming stopped when he saw He Xinyan walk over to a black car parked on the road. She opened the door and entered the car without even looking back at him.

A few seconds later, the car drove off.

Inside the car, He Xinyan was receiving a questioning from Gu Yechen.

"Why did you two come out together?"

"We didn't!" He Xinyan frowned, "I came out alone and I don't know why he followed me out."

Gu Yechen grabbed onto her hand, "Okay. Be careful and stay away from strangers from now on."

"Strangers?" He Xinyan smiled, "He's my brother-in-law and. . ."

Gu Yechen's face darkened, "I don't care who he is. Stay away from him."

"Yes sir!"

He Xinyan had a lot of scenes to film today, and they were some of the most important scenes for her role.

However, at 5 P.M., it started raining, and they couldn't film the scenes that took place outside anymore.

"The weather forecast didn't say it would rain today," Wu Minger muttered.

He Xinyan sighed, "Did you guys bring an umbrella?"

Everyone shook their heads and He Xinyan did the same. It seemed like summer was slowly fading and autumn was arriving.

Director Ma was very unhappy as he sat on the emperor chair inside the large hall. All of the actors and filming crew members were squished inside the Gate of Supreme Harmony, which was the largest building in the entire filming site.

Finally, he stood up and shouted, "Filming is over for today!"

Then, he walked down from the chair and left with a frown.

The filming crew began to pack up their stuff and many of the actors walked over to the door, getting ready to leave.

No one had brought an umbrella, because the rain was unexpected, and some actors just covered their heads with their hands and ran into the rain.

Many actors, including He Xinyan, were still dressed in their filming costumes, but the changing tents were outside.

"What do we do?" Yang Siyue asked as she looked down at her empress gown.

"Are the tents still open?" He Xinyan asked.

"I don't think so. After all, they aren't really sturdy and the rain might go through."

Gu Yebei's eyes lit up as he suddenly remembered something, "You guys can come to my changing room. It's nearby and it is a part of the building so no rain would get in."

Yang Siyue gasped, "Oh, right! How did I forget? Yanyan, you can come with me to my changing room and change. Your clothes are there, right?"

"Yep, I changed there this morning."

Wu Minger followed Gu Yebei to his changing room and He Xinyan went to Yang Siyue's. A few minutes later, they gathered back at the Gate of Supreme Harmony in their normal clothes.

When they came back, the hall was much more spacious since several people had left.

There were a few who seemed to be calling friends or family to come to pick them up.

He Xinyan watched them and decided to pull out her phone to call Gu Yechen. However, it wasn't even 6 yet, and there was no way Gu Yechen had got out of work.

After careful thought, He Xinyan decided to close her phone. She turned around to tell Wu Minger that she was going to call a taxi and just run over to the parking lot. A little rain didn't hurt anyway. . .

However, she noticed that Gu Yebei had pulled out his phone, and. . .

"Brother, come and pick me up! It's raining cats and dogs outside!"

He Xinyan's mouth fell open as her effort to be considerate of Gu Yechen had gone to waste. She stared at Gu Yebei, and a few seconds later, he hung up the call.

Gu Yebei noticed her and smiled, "My brother said he's here already!"

"What?"

Suddenly, several gasps and whispers broke out in the hall.

"Look, look! Who is that?"

"Oh my gosh. . . He's so handsome! Is he an actor?"

"Why does he look familiar?"

He Xinyan turned around and saw a familiar person walking outside, towards the building.

He was still in his black suit, and he held a black umbrella with one hand and placed his other hand inside his pant pocket.

When he was a few steps away from the building, he pointed his umbrella forward and clicked a button on the umbrella, which folded itself. Some rain droplets splashed onto the ground in front of him as he kept walking.

The simple act of closing an umbrella invited several screams and gasps from the women inside the hall.

He Xinyan had to admit that Gu Yechen closing an umbrella was indeed very handsome.

"That was so fast! Did you fly over here?" Gu Yebei stepped forward and smiled at his brother.

Gu Yechen walked straight past Gu Yebei, ignoring him.

"Why didn't you call me?" Gu Yechen stopped in front of He Xinyan and looked down at her.

"I. . . I thought you were still working. How did you get here so fast?"

Gu Yechen smiled and grabbed onto He Xinyan's hand, "I drove over once the rain started. You don't have to worry about me. Call me when you need me."

He Xinyan smiled sweetly, "Okay."

On the other hand, Yang Siyue was pretending to throw up as she watched the two people next to her feed her dog food.

Everyone that was still here watched Gu Yechen had He Xinyan with either envy or shock.

Ignoring all the stares, Gu Yechen and He Xinyan walked to the entrance and Gu Yechen opened the umbrella once again.

Just as they were about to leave, Gu Yebei called out, "Wait! Wait!"

"Didn't I ask you to bring me an umbrella too?"

Gu Yechen looked back at his brother and licked his lips before pulling out a mini folding umbrella from his pocket.

He threw it to Gu Yebei and walked out of the building with one arm wrapped around He Xinyan's waist.

Gu Yebei unfolded the umbrella and walked over to Wu Minger, "Minger, let's go."

"Oh, okay. Thank you."

The two of them walked out of the building together, leaving Yang Siyue alone inside the hall.

"These - These betrayers!" Yang Siyue kicked one leg out angrily and pulled out her phone to call her driver to bring an umbrella.
