However, when she saw who it was, He Xinyan gasped.

The man leaned casually against the wall and looked at He Xinyan with a satisfied smile, "Very beautiful."

"How - How did you get in?" He Xinyan took a step back and stared at the man.

Gu Yechen raised one eyebrow amusedly, "I walked in."

He Xinyan rolled her eyes. She wasn't asking whether he walked in or crawled in, she was asking why he was here?

When she came into the shop she didn't notice anyone else here? Did he come in after she did? But that wasn't possible, she didn't hear any footsteps.

"How did you know I'm here?"

Gu Yechen grinned as he looked at He Xinyan's beautiful figure, "I guessed."

Guessed? Well, aside from the unknown shop that belonged to Qin Lai on this street, this was the best and most popular shop here. There was a high possibility that she would show up here.

Gu Yechen tilted his head to one side and used one hand to lift her chin up, "You look so beautiful today."

He Xinyan's eyes widened as she took a step back, "We are in a changing room. Don't you dare mess around!"

"Mess around? What do you mean by messing around?" Gu Yechen took another step forward and pushed He Xinyan to the wall before leaning forward.

He had to tilt his head down to reach her lips, and He Xinyan tried to push him away when their lips touched.

Instead, Gu Yechen kissed with more force as he placed both hands on her cheeks and closed his eyes. He Xinyan felt her legs seem to weaken as she was only supported by his hands and the wall.

After what seemed like a century, Gu Yechen let go and licked his lips with a smile.

"I'll see you later," he said before taking a step back. He Xinyan glared at him and quickly straightened her dress before walking out of the changing room.

Once she stepped out, she was met with Li Yuyan, Li Huiran, Su Zhiming, and the female worker in the shop.

When the female worker saw Xinyan, her eyes widened with surprise, "Miss He looks gorgeous wearing this."

He Xinyan's body was naturally very beautiful, and she had all the curves in the right places. Under the white fabric, her originally soft and pale skin looked even more white and it seemed to glow.

Her long and slim legs would be revealed when there was the slightest movement, and she looked like a snow queen, elegant and proud.

He Xinyan smiled politely, "Thank you."

Li Yuyan couldn't hide her jealousy as she stared at He Xinyan. She looked down at her own red dress and thought about changing it to white too.

She looked up at He Xinyan's face and furrowed her eyebrows slightly, "Sister, why is your mouth swollen?"

He Xinyan stared at Li Yuyan and pressed her lips together, "When I was changing, I accidentally scratched my lips."

Right after saying it, He Xinyan knew how stupid that excuse sounded.

That stupid and shameless man!

"Oh, really?" Li Yuyan raised one eyebrow and stared at her lips. As someone with experience, she knew perfectly well what swollen lips like that meant. Su Zhiming also stared at He Xinyan's lips with an unreadable expression.

She was downstairs with her mom all this time, and she didn't see anyone else come up. So, did that mean, there was someone up here before they came?

Li Yuyan looked around the top floor but there wasn't any sign of movement. She frowned and looked at He Xinyan's lips once more.

Did she really just scratch it?

"Of course." He Xinyan glanced at Li Yuyan and turned to the female worker, "There's only the three of us here today, right?"

The worker blinked a few times before smiling, "Yes, of course."

He Xinyan raised one eyebrow before walking back into the changing room, "I'll take this dress."

"Okay."

On the way back home, He Xinyan couldn't help but wonder how Gu Yechen was there. Did he know how to teleport?

But that wasn't possible.

They arrived at the He mansion and the four of them got out of the car. As they walked to the house, Li Yuyan slowed down her pace so she was next to He Xinyan.

"Sister, did you kiss someone back at the shop?"

He Xinyan glanced at Li Yuyan, "No, why would you think that?"

Li Yuyan looked at Xinyan's lips, which weren't as swollen anymore, "Your lips were quite swollen. . ."

"I told you I scratched it." He Xinyan grinned, "It is quite dirty minded of you to connect a mere scratch to something like that."

She quickened her pace and walked into the house without looking back at Li Yuyan's annoyed expression.

At night, Gu Yechen entered the lit room and saw He Xinyan sitting on the bed with her arms and legs crossed, staring at him.

"Hi," he said casually.

"Gu Yechen, you're sleeping on the ground today."

Gu Yechen ignored her and climbed onto the bed, wrapped both hands around her waist, and pulled her down onto the bed.

"Do you hear me? Gu Yechen?! Can't you have some self-control? I almost got exposed today because of you!"

Gu Yechen raised one eyebrow, "Exposed for what?"

"Kissing you. . . in the changing room!"

Gu Yechen smiled as he looked down at her, "Is it shameful to kiss me? If you told anyone you kissed me, Gu Yechen, they would look at you with jealousy and envy."

"You. . . How did I not see that you were this arrogant before?! Whatever, if so many women want to kiss you, then you can go and kiss them! I don't care!" He Xinyan turned around and refused to look at him.

"But I don't want to kiss anyone but you. . . My lips are only yours. . ."

He Xinyan's face turned red from this sensitive topic and she buried her face deep into the pillow. Gu Yechen hugged her close to his chest and had to lift his upper body up and around to look at her face.

"Since my lips belong to you, shouldn't you treat it well? How about another kiss right now?" Gu Yechen said with a sly smile, only to receive a punch directly onto his stomach.

"Shameless! I'm not taking you to my dad's birthday party anymore!"

Gu Yechen pitifully rubbed his stomach and pressed his lips out, "Then who will you take?"

"Anyone but you! I'll grab a random man from the street and take him!"

Gu Yechen's face darkened as he turned He Xinyan around so she was facing him, "No. You can only take me. Go to sleep."

Gu Yechen closed his eyes and pressed He Xinyan's head onto his chest, not allowing any further discussion.

He Xinyan scrunched her face up. Was Gu Yechen her boss?! Why was he commanding her? Wasn't she on top in this relationship?

She gently punched him again on the stomach, and suddenly felt her hand get locked as his large hand grabbed hers.

"You -"

"Good night." Gu Yechen kissed her quickly but gently on the forehead and placed his other hand onto her eyes to close them.

It was the morning of Bai Jiawei's birthday party, which was going to be held from 6 to 10 at night.

Everyone was busy getting prepared for the party, while Bai Jiawei sat in the center of the dining table, happily eating his breakfast.

He Xinyan walked downstairs in her pajamas and sat down next to Bai Jiawei, "Happy birthday, dad."

Bai Jiawei looked at his younger daughter, who hasn't done anything in preparation for his birthday party, and squeezed out a smile.

He Xinyan returned the fake smile before beginning to eat her breakfast. After she was done, she went back to her room to watch her phone before it was time to get ready for the party.

It was an hour before lunchtime when the door to He Xinyan's bedroom suddenly opened and Li Huiran walked in with a fancy red box in her hands.

"It seems like Auntie Li still isn't accustomed to the etiquette of a high-class family like the He family yet. It is important to knock before entering a room." He Xinyan said with a sweet smile as she closed her phone.

Li Huiran's smile stiffened for a second before she placed the box onto the bed, "Yanyan, I got you a pair of shoes for your dad's birthday party tonight. As the daughter of the He family, you should dance with your dad at his birthday party. A pair of good shoes is very important for a woman, so I bought you a pair."

"Oh, it's so sweet of you. Thank you very much!" He Xinyan grinned and opened the box to look at the pair of sparkly, silver shoes inside.

She lifted the shoes out of the box and held them up with a genuine smile.

Seeing that she was pleased, Li Huiran walked out of the room and closed the door.

After Li Huiran was gone, He Xinyan's smile disappeared as she lifted up one of the shoes. Carefully, she grabbed onto the heel of the shoe and wiggled it a little.

Seeing that nothing happened, she then pulled the heel back slightly.

Without much effort, there was a snap, and the heel of the shoe broke in two.
