"Gu Yechen?!"

The man laying on the bed facing up with his legs crossed casually opened his eyes and finally moved when he saw He Xinyan.

"Why didn't you sleep first?" He Xinyan asked as she took a quick glance at the clock - 2:33 A.M.

"I was waiting for you." Gu Yechen hopped off the bed in his pajamas and pulled He Xinyan into the restroom, "You must be tired. Take a bath first, the water in the tub is warm."

He Xinyan looked around and saw that her toothbrush had toothpaste on it already, her pajamas were set on the table next to the bathtub and the hairbrush and skincare products were all laid out on the desk.

For a second, He Xinyan felt a sour feeling in her nose as she realized how amazing it was to have someone that cared about you. He would wait for you to come home no matter how late it was and prepare everything beforehand so you wouldn't be so tired.

In her past life, she would be the one waiting for Su Zhiming to come home late at night, and sometimes, he would never appear.

He Xinyan couldn't hear what Gu Yechen was saying anymore as she stared at him. She must have saved the world in her past life to receive such a great man like Gu Yechen.

But wait. . . She didn't save the world in her past life. This is already her second life, and she knows perfectly well that she did not save the world in her past life. . . So that would mean, she saved the world in her past, past life?

As He Xinyan was contemplating the question, Gu Yechen had finished explaining to He Xinyan everything and realized that she didn't respond.

"Yanyan?"

"Baby?"

"Wifey?"

"Xinyan?"

"Yes," He Xinyan responded as she quickly broke out of her thoughts.

"Hurry up and get ready to sleep."

"Okay, thank you," He Xinyan quickly landed on a kiss on Gu Yechen's cheek before turning around. She was about to take off her clothes when she frowned and looked back around.

"What are you still doing here? Go away!"

Gu Yechen sighed before hesitantly walking out of the bathroom. He was hoping to stay with her as she bathed. . .

He Xinyan entered the warm bathtub and could have guessed that Gu Yechen probably just filled the tub up as the water was still warm.

About half an hour later, He Xinyan walked out of the bathroom to see Gu Yechen already under the blanket.

"The bed is warm now. Come in," Gu Yechen said as he lifted the blanket up. He Xinyan happily crawled in and he was right, the bed was warm and cozy.

This time, He Xinyan took the initiative to crawl into Gu Yechen's embrace and she closed her eyes, quickly falling into a deep sleep.

The next morning, He Xinyan was able to sleep in as filming began at 11 A.M. To her disappointment, Gu Yechen was already gone when she woke up.

However, like every other day, there was a fresh rose on the bed stand. He Xinyan played around with the rose in her hand for a while before getting out of bed.

She got ready and didn't put on any makeup because He Xinyan knew the makeup artist was going to do her makeup for her all over again when she arrived anyway.

This morning, Li Yuyan was already gone when He Xinyan left, and she arrived just in time for the first scene.

Yang Siyue and Gu Yebei were in the first scene and they worked together very well. He Xinyan didn't have any scenes until after the lunch break, but she came over to spectate.

"Thirty minute lunch break! And I have an announcement to make. Our largest sponsor, the Gu Corporation, had paid to change the catering source. From now on, the meals will be catered from the Puxi Restaurant!"

Everyone gasped in surprise and murmured amongst themselves about the new arrangement.

"The Gu Corporation really is rich! A single meal from the Puxi Restaurant is an enormous amount of money, and the Gu Corporation is buying it for an entire film crew? Ah, being rich is nice."

He Xinyan stared wide-eyed at Director Ma after he had finished making the announcement and didn't know if she should be happy or. . . happy!

Next to her, Gu Yebei jumped up in happiness, "Ah, my brother still loves me! He knows I hate the food here, so he bought Puxi Restaurant food for me! Hahaha, but he didn't have to buy it for everyone. . . I'm enough."

He Xinyan turned to look at Gu Yebei and clicked her tongue as she shook her head, "Ah, someone is thinking too highly of themselves!"

Gu Yebei frowned, "What are you talking about? Little Yanyan, just admit it! Your husband likes me more! Hmph!"

He Xinyan didn't want to waste time talking with Gu Yebei anymore, so she walked away to get her food. Gu Yebei and the others quickly caught up and when they arrived in front of the truck carrying the food, the line was already very long.

It took several minutes for the line to get to the four of them, and He Xinyan was about to grab a box of the food when the worker stopped her, "You must be Miss He? President Gu has ordered us to give you this one."

Unlike the other boxes, the one the worker handed to He Xinyan was a glass container, and the dishes were different.

He Xinyan smiled and grabbed a pair of chopsticks with the glass box, "Thank you."

After He Xinyan had received her food, Gu Yebei was next in line. He immediately lifted one arm up and waited.

"Sir, the food is right here."

Gu Yebei scrunched his face up, "Where is my special food? In the glass container? Like little Yanyan?!"

"Sir, everyone is receiving the same food. Please don't hold up the line."

Gu Yebei's mouth fell open in shock, "But - But, I just saw little Yanyan get a special box and it had more food inside!"

He Xinyan giggled and stuck her tongue out at Gu Yebei before running off to her seat under the shade.

In the end, Gu Yebei grudgingly took a plastic box of normal food and angrily sat down across from He Xinyan.

"Hmph!" He turned his head away and ate his lunch angrily.

Wu Minger and Yang Siyue also walked over and Yang Siyue sat down next to He Xinyan, "Yanyan, you know the CEO of the Gu Corporation?"

Gu Yebei responded, "Yep, she's my future sister in law! Yang Siyue, you didn't know?"

Yang Siyue raised one eyebrow and an unreadable smile spread on her face before she continued to eat. He Xinyan noticed and frowned. Did Siyue know Gu Yechen?

Xinyan opened her own special container and looked at the colorful arrangement of food. One vegetable dish, two meat dishes, rice, and an extra bowl of soup.

She immediately went for the chicken and ate a large mouthful. She chewed a few times and stopped. . . This taste was very familiar.

Gu Yebei's eyes were sparkling as he stared at He Xinyan's food. When she didn't notice, he stretched forward in hope of stealing a bite of her special food. However, he accidentally leaned too far and came crashing down his chair.

"Ah!" The plastic container crashed onto the ground along with Gu Yebei's body.

"Hahahaha!" He Xinyan laughed without any feeling of pity.

"Waah!" Gu Yebei pretended to sob, not because he fell, but because his precious container of food had spilled onto the ground!

"My food! My lunch!"

In the end, Gu Yebei was lucky enough to get himself another new box of food and he didn't try to steal food from He Xinyan anymore.

Halfway through lunch, the four of them ate and chatted, and He Xinyan had finished her food already. The meal tasted very familiar but she couldn't figure out what it was.

As she was closing the glass container, she saw from the corner of her eye that someone had placed another foldable chair next to her and sat down.

She looked up and gasped, "Gu Yechen?!"
