After several hours of shopping, He Xinyan and Gu Yechen finally exited the shopping mall with Gu Yechen holding several bags in each hand.

He Xinyan watched as Chen Xiao helped carry the bags onto the trunk of the car and gulped. This shopping experience was very. . . weird. It was almost as if she was shopping with the bank itself.

Even when she just took a second glance at an item, Gu Yechen would immediately buy it. So He Xinyan didn't even know most of the stuff they had bought.

She sat back down in the car and slowly put on her seatbelt.

"What movie do you want to watch?" Gu Yechen asked as he scrolled through the list of movies.

"Any. . ."

He Xinyan sat down on the bench with a large tub of popcorn in her arms as Gu Yechen went to go line up for the movie tickets.

She swung her legs forward and back as she chewed on the crunchy popcorn. Gu Yechen was very conspicuous in the line of people because of his tall height and extremely attractive face.

He Xinyan noticed a girl around her age from the line next to Gu Yechen pull out her phone and take a picture of him. He Xinyan pouted unhappily as she took a sip of soda. Her boyfriend was way too attractive.

Although their relationship was still considered fake, there was still a feeling of annoyance when she saw other women fangirling over her partner.

She grabbed the bottle of coke and hugged the large tub of popcorn to her chest before standing up and running over to Gu Yechen.

"Why did you come over?"

He Xinyan smiled sweetly, "I'll wait with you."

Gu Yechen looked down at the little girl still eating popcorn and smiled. Why was she so cute?

The two of them walked into the dark movie room and heard the sound of ads being played on the big screen right now.

Up until now, He Xinyan still didn't know what movie Gu Yechen had chosen, but she trusted his decision.

A few minutes later, the movie began playing, and He Xinyan's hand that was reaching for popcorn froze when she saw the movie title.

". . ." He Xinyan wanted to run out of the movie theater right now. Did Gu Yechen really just pay to come in and have a history lesson?

"Is this the movie you picked?" He Xinyan asked.

"Yes, is there something wrong?" Gu Yechen leaned towards He Xinyan, and even in the dark, He Xinyan could see his attractive facial features.

". . . No. . ." He Xinyan turned back and leaned back on the movie seat. Gu Yechen didn't eat the popcorn so she moved the entire bucket onto her lap and began to focus on eating.

Unfortunately, there wasn't enough popcorn in the bucket to last her through the full two-hour documentary, and she finished halfway through the movie.

He Xinyan placed the empty bucket on the floor and turned to look at Gu Yechen. How was he surviving?

She looked at the black and white screen and tried to focus, but her eyelids slowly got heavier and heavier, until they closed.

The lights in the movie theater opened again and the few people watching slowly got out of their seats and walked out.

Gu Yechen turned his head around and saw He Xinyan sleeping soundly next to him. Her mouth was open and her hair was slightly messed up from rubbing against the chair.

Gu Yechen smiled and watched her sleep for a while. Watching her sleep was much more interesting than watching the documentary. . .

Until the movie screen had completely turned black after the long list of credits, Gu Yechen stood up and took off his black suit jacket.

He wrapped it around He Xinyan's knees and covered up her legs before he lifted her off the chair. He Xinyan moved a little from the movement but continued to sleep.

Her small hand clutched onto Gu Yechen's sleeve as she took in the light and pleasant smell of mint that came from his body.

Gu Yechen walked out of the theater and he attracted glances from several people, all looking at him and the woman in his arms.

Chen Xiao was waiting outside and he almost tripped over himself when he saw that his boss was carrying He Xinyan in his arms.

What happened? Did Miss He faint? Or get hurt? Chen Xiao ran over to Gu Yechen and stretched out his arms in a way to suggest for Gu Yechen to hand He Xinyan over to him, "What's wrong with Miss He? Is she hurt?"

Gu Yechen kept a strong grip on He Xinyan and ignored Chen Xiao as he walked over to the car door, "She's sleeping."

Chen Xiao froze and forgot to open the door for Gu Yechen. That's it? She's just sleeping? His boss really carried Miss He from the movie theater all the way to the car just because she was sleeping.

If it had been anyone else, even his mom, Chen Xiao was certain that Mr. Gu would have probably woken the person up before walking away on his own.

Chen Xiao started the car and made a mental note to gain the favor of Miss He because there was a high chance that she would be their future lady boss!

The car drove to a restaurant and when the car came to a stop, He Xinyan woke up.

"Where are we?" She asked as a yawn escaped her mouth.

"Let's go eat lunch." Gu Yechen helped He Xinyan unbuckle her seatbelt and got out of the car. Still in a daze, He Xinyan did the same and followed Gu Yechen into the high-end restaurant.

The restaurant was designed in an oriental theme and even the door was made of gold. There were two large golden lion sculptures at the front of the restaurant and they sparkled under the bright sunlight.

"Welcome, Mr. Gu." The waiter took a second look at the woman walking behind Gu Yechen before leading them over to the private VIP room in the back of the restaurant.

Once they sat down, over ten dishes of food were carried out onto the table. Since He Xinyan only ate an ice cream since the morning, she was starving.

At once, she picked up her chopsticks and began eating. After she had finished a whole bowl of rice, she suddenly remembered that she wasn't alone.

He Xinyan awkwardly looked up and saw that Gu Yechen was smiling at her. She squeezed out a smile and pointed at the food on the table, "Eat. . . eat. . ."

"I like watching you eat," Gu Yechen replied.

"Ha. . . ha. . . ha. . . okay then." He Xinyan looked back down as she continued eating. The food was really good.

He Xinyan ended up eating almost half of the food on the table whereas Gu Yechen only ate a few bites. She felt genuinely bad for eating so much, so when the waiter brought the check up, she immediately snatched it and said, "I'll pay for the meal. . ."

Her voice died down after seeing the number on the check.

4573 dollars. . . A meal for two people cost 4573 dollars! A four person family could eat a hundred meals with that amount of money.

Gu Yechen pulled out his wallet and grabbed the check away from He Xinyan, "I brought you here. I'll pay."

He Xinyan bit her lips and didn't say anything more. As they waited for the worker to bring the check back, He Xinyan pulled out her phone and scrolled through the news.

A picture popped up in the hottest topics and it looked quite familiar but she couldn't figure out where she had seen it.

After staring at the picture blankly for several seconds, her eyes widened. The dress the woman was wearing in the picture. . . her dress.

This picture was of her and Gu Yechen!
