"CEO Gu!"

"Give me her." The coldness in Gu Yechen's voice made the old man shiver.

"Haha, what are you talking about, CEO Gu?" The man had a guess of what Gu Yechen was talking about, but he had received money to do this job, so he couldn't let the girl inside leave easily.

"Give me her!" Gu Yechen repeated, his voice louder than the first time.

"Yes sir!" The old man was merely the boss of a small company, and he couldn't compare with the large Gu Corporation. The small amount of money he received didn't matter anymore. If he offended CEO Gu, his entire career would be over.

The man lifted He Xinyan off of the bed and carried her over to the door. When Gu Yechen saw the disgusting man touching his woman, his entire face darkened.

"Here you go," the man said as he carefully slid the woman off of his back and into Gu Yechen's arms. He gulped nervously and looked down at his bare feet, hoping that the scary man in front of him would leave quickly.

"How dare you try to dirty my woman." Leaving the old man alone to remorse over his wrong actions, Gu Yechen left, carrying Xinyan bridal style.

The man knew that he was done for. What did CEO Gu mean by 'my woman'? Was that small actress CEO Gu's girlfriend? Or even worse, was she his wife?!

But CEO Gu wasn't married yet. . .

The man was shaking as he sat down on the empty bed, and he jumped up in fear when his phone started ringing.

When he saw the name of the woman that hired him, his fear turned into anger.

"How did it go?" Yang Yaqi asked.

"Are you crazy or are you stupid? Are you purposely trying to destroy me?!"

Yang Yaqi glanced at Li Yuyan, who was next to her, "What do you mean?"

"If that woman figures out that you were behind this, you are so screwed. Do you know who is supporting her?"

Yang Yaqi opened speaker mode so Li Yuyan could also hear, "What do you mean?"

The man was enraged by what happened to him, so he was definitely not going to let Yang Yaqi off the hook either.

He scoffed, "Looks like you don't know who is behind that woman. I look forward to the death of you."

With that, he hung up the phone and left Yang Yaqi and Li Yuyan extremely confused. He blocked Yang Yaqi's number and put on his shirt again.

He was no longer in the mood to do anything, so he left the hotel, hoping that CEO Gu wasn't going to actually destroy him.

In a presidential suite on the 33rd floor, the air conditioner was turned on to the highest it could be, making the originally cold room even colder.

A man in a completely black suit sat on the couch with a glass of red wine in his hand, his face possibly even colder than the temperature in the room.

However, he was already used to the freezing temperature he liked, so it didn't bother him. On the other hand, the tiny figure on the bed had curled up into a little ball and her hands were grasping on tightly to the blanket.

Gu Yechen knit his eyebrows together and turned to his assistant, Chen Xiao.

"Turn up the temperature ten degrees, then get out of here."

Chen Xiao gulped before walking over to the thermostat and increasing the temperature in the room. When he finished, he practically ran out of the room and into the less scary hallway.

Gu Yechen finished all the wine in one gulp and stood up, walking over to the couch slowly. The woman on the bed had relaxed a bit and her grip on the blanket also loosened.

Gu Yechen sat down gently, afraid to wake her up. She looked angelic as the moonlight shone through the window, making her skin a pale lucid color.

At the same time, it lit up Gu Yechen's face, which was filled with gentleness. He felt like he hadn't lived truly for the past 26 years of his life, and had only just found his direction.

He never believed in love at first sight, but maybe it was true. Gu Yechen slowly got off the bed and changed into a black silk bathrobe.

After planting a kiss onto the girl's forehead, he climbed onto the other side of the bed and laid down next to her.

He smiled sweetly before closing his eyes. He hasn't fallen asleep so quickly in a very long time. . .

The next morning, He Xinyan woke up from the sound of birds chirping outside the room. She slowly blinked her eyes open and looked at the white bedsheet next to her.

But her bedsheet was blue. . .

Memories from last night flooded back and the next second, the presidential suite was filled with an ear-piercing scream.

"AHH!!!" He Xinyan sat up straight on her bed and looked straight ahead. Did she just fall into Yang Yaqi's trap again? Did history just repeat itself? Was she really so stupid that she couldn't even scheme over Yang Yaqi?

He Xinyan scrunched her face up and looked as if she was about to cry.

"You're awake," a deep voice sounded from her left. He Xinyan's eyes widened and she didn't dare look to see who it was. She knew it was going to be some old, fat man that would make her want to throw up.

However, she still couldn't stop her curiosity as she slowly turned her head around to see the man sitting on the couch.

When He Xinyan's eyes registered the handsome face, her mouth fell open.

Wasn't he. . . CEO Gu?

"What. . . what are you doing here?" He Xinyan asked as she looked down to realize that she still had clothes on.

Gu Yechen was direct as he stated, "I saved you."

He Xinyan raised one eyebrow.

"I was walking by the restroom and noticed that you got knocked out, so I followed you to the room. Don't worry, I saved you before anything happened."

He Xinyan scratched her head and looked around her surroundings. Why was this hotel room so big? She shook her head and reminded herself that this wasn't the point right now.

"Um. . . thank you. If there is nothing else, I will get going." He Xinyan jumped out of the bed, grabbed her bag, and turned to walk away.

To be truthful, she was a little scared of CEO Gu. The Gu family basically controlled the entire economy, and they owned a business empire.

Right now, Gu Yechen was at the very top of the empire. He brought the Gu Corporation to an extent higher than ever before and was known as a king in Country Z right now.

To reach this position, he was definitely not a simple person. Gu Yechen was evil and cunning, and definitely not something He Xinyan should mess with.

After all, she was super innocent, right?

Just as He Xinyan's hand touched the door handle, she heard Gu Yechen say in a dangerous tone, "Come back."
