My Battleship Can Receive Infinite Upgrades Chapter 8

In addition to the 2 self-activation functions, because the Thunder Flash was a battleship, some optional functions could also be activated too. However, the optional functions needed mineral crystals to be activated.
Optional function 1: Alternate space signal acquisition (1 unit of low-grade mineral crystal)
Optional function 2: Double source point acquisition (According to the number of source points obtained, the consumption of mineral crystals is different)
Optional function 3: Module characteristics selection (According to the module quality, the consumption of mineral crystals is different)
Optional function 4: Double module growth value (According to the module quality, the consumption of mineral crystals is different)
These 4 optional functions were very useful.
However, all of the optional functions needed to consume different amount of mineral crystals.
Furthermore, the upgrade functions also changed.
Upgrade function 1: Level restriction removal (5 units of high-grade mineral crystals to activate)
Upgrade function 2: Fixed point invasion (20 units of high-grade mineral crystals to activate)
The optional function was different from the upgrade function. The optional function could be used directly and every time it consumed mineral crystals. However, the upgrade function was different. Just activating it required the consumption of high-grade mineral crystals and that did not include the usage.
High-grade mineral crystals were rare and expensive. They were one of the controlled items of the privileged class. Lin Dong currently had no way to obtain them unless he was extremely lucky.
Fortunately, he did not need the upgrade functions at the moment. Otherwise, he would really have a headache.
"Check the basic data of the battleship and the degree of damage."
Lin Dong glanced at Lorne, who was still seated on the chair, and chose to verbally give the command.
He had taken 99 steps out of 100 steps. Therefore, he could not let Lorne sense anything amiss with the final step. After all, the personal support system was something that needed to be hidden.
The optical computer only operated according to the program settings and had no intelligence. Therefore, once the new commander gave the order, it immediately began to operate.
It was the same as the data he had seen previously.
Lin Dong thought for a moment before he clicked on 1 of the tabs. 40% of the damage was already quite serious. If it exceeded 50%, it would affect the battleship's ability and mobility.

Most of the damage occurred at the back of the Thunder Flash. The engine spout and both sides were the most serious, displaying a dangerous red color.
The first half of the armor was basically green.
Evidently, the back of the Thunder Flash was hit during the pursuit.
As for the 5% damage to the hull, Lin Dong would not be paying attention to it, as it was not the time to deal with it yet.
Lin Dong opened up the detection radar, and pointed toward the edge of the imaging map, before he opened his mouth and said, "Begin autopilot. Here."
In Lin Dong's previous life, he had dragged on for too long, which resulted in him being caught up by Sylvester Dan. Then, another chase occurred.
The originally damaged battleship was even more seriously damaged. However, Lin Dong was lucky as he was able to get away from Dan.
This forced him to undertake a series of subsequent adventures.
The current Thunder Flash was simply unable to deal with the Sylvester family's pursuers.
Fortunately, Lin Dong had given the command in advance this time, thus preventing any delay. After he gave the command, the battleship began to operate. The optical computer on Thunder Flash was far more advance than his 3rd generation mining spaceship.
Even in the mining area of the asteroid belt, it was still able to navigate on its own.
Without the need for the commander to manually control it, the Thunder Flash automatically avoided the meteorites and asteroids that it encountered during its voyage. It even crushed some of the low-speed meteorites that were too small in size.
During its journey, the signal jammer was continuously activated.
Along the flight route, Lin Dong found a miniature reactor from the list of resources and successively deployed over a hundred of them.
This type of reactor did not have a monitoring function. Its only function was to detect large objects flying past and give it to the commander to react.
Even though most of the time, meteorites were detected flying past the reactors.
However, the flight path was long and continuously displayed large objects flying past. It was very likely that the pursuers had arrived.
Moreover, this type of miniature reactor was difficult to detect and belonged to the passive type.

There were even better detectors. Unfortunately, the battleship did not have them.
Upon seeing that Lin Dong was operating in an orderly manner, and that his actions were extremely organized, unlike a newbie. Therefore, Lorne felt suspicious as he unintentionally asked, "Lin Dong, have you ever flown a battleship before?"
If Lin Dong answered that he did not try it before or did not give a reasonable explanation, then Lorne would have to interrogate him.
If Lorne let an enemy inherit his battleship, he would die sadly.
Lin Dong turned as he looked at Lorne, as if he did not know anything. Then, he explained, "I have flown a battleship in the virtual reality game."
"I have played the 'Sea of Stars' for 3,000 hours, and I occasionally read the post of the Battleship Master."
Lorne's eyes flickered, as he relaxed. Later, he mocked himself for being suspicious.
He had come to this remote mining planet to find a random interstellar miner. If this was still a member of the Sylvester family, it would be too terrifying. How bad was his luck if he were to encounter a member of the Sylvester family in this mining planet?
He knew about the 'Sea of Stars'. It was a holographic game.
It highly simulated the control of a Spark battleship. It was said that the simulation had reached 93% .
Players played the role of the commander of the battleship and commanded their battleships to join the designated battlefield to fight alone or join forces with other players.
To a certain extent, it could indeed improve the control level of the battleship and train the basic tactics of the players.
The youngsters and civilians who did not have access to the Spark battleship loved this game the most. The product was produced by a large technology company in a distant planet. It was said that the company was backed by a rank 7 civilization.
To be able to spread to a remote mining planet like planet A3999, Lorne could clearly feel the strength of that technology company.
Of course, without any special encounters, commoners would still be commoners.
Upon seeing that Lin Dong was still looking at him and waiting for a response, Lorne nodded his head faintly. "It's alright. Looks like you have gained something out of it. You have commanded well."
"Thank you for your compliment. Luckily I didn't waste any of my precious time." Lin Dong smiled as he felt happy.
"Based on my gaming experience, I'll not stay in the same place for too long. I'll remain hidden for some time and use some anti-reconnaissance methods. I can't completely conceal myself, but I can also create trouble for the enemy."
"I won't just surrender."
Lorne nodded. He did not have any other emotions as he spoke, "It is better than not doing anything."
"I hope that you will always remain cautious and focused. The Sylvester family is far more terrifying than what you have expected. Not only does it show off in terms of power, but it also shows off their methods and unscrupulous behavior."
"However, what I find strange is that there are over 10 million Nano-bomb robots in your body. Once you kill the pursuers behind you, your danger will be eliminated. Why do you want to escape?"
"It doesn't feel good to have 10 million bombs in your body, right?"
Lin Dong laughed bitterly. "I also wish to kill those pursuers. However, I'm not sure how many people are chasing us. I don't know how their battleships are, whether they have reinforcements or not . There's a lot of uncertainty. It's too dangerous to wait for them at the same place. Once I understand their situation, I'll have greater confidence. During this period, I'll be able to familiarize myself with the Thunder Flash as well."
"That's why I was so focused on running away. I thought it was stupid to wait for them."
"Excellent. It seems that you didn't become arrogant just because you became the commander of the Thunder Flash. This will give you more possibilities in the future."
Lorne praised and did not ask any more questions.

The Choice is Not Yours
Author's Note: (As of November 20, 2021) I rewrote all the chapters perhaps more than a year ago, but haven't announced that I did so. Because that kind of announcement would include something along the lines of, "I'm working on the story so expect new chapters!" But the truth is, I lack motivation to do anything. And I would hate myself if I broke a promise. I'm extremely sorry if you have been patiently waiting for uploads. These days, I've been studying, not well, but studying somewhat. I will definitely bring more to show, with regular uploads. If not this story then there's another story I've been writing that's really exciting to me. It's not exactly similar to this story since it has a male lead and he is a baneful asshole with even less morals. I hope you'll like it when it comes to existence. And I'll leave my announcement off with the aforementioned promise. Meet Amber, a tomboyish, unstable, and cheeky lass who likes to keep to herself. According to her, she'll live the rest of her life on auto-pilot mode, awhile holding onto the few things that make her remotely happy. However, she forgot that people never really leave you alone, be it humans or even the Gods. And exactly that happens, ending her monotonous life on such the Gods' whim. But at what cost to her? Will she be able to hold onto the things she holds dear? Or will she fail miserably and lose herself in the process? That's what the Gods want to know. Disclaimer: I do not own the cover photo.Warning: If you are easily triggered, I am not writing this novel for you.

Neophyte: Common Route
A story about self-discovery, interpersonal relationships, magic and magical creatures-- and a silent war. Marsha is about seven years past adulthood and still feels like a scared child in her parents' home. This is exacerbated when she discovers her father has apparently keyed up his destructive, sadistic habits-- leading to a mad dash out of the house with precious cargo in tow and only one idea where to go. This begins her journey, leading to a discovery that will change her life forever. And she never wants to go back. (Warnings: Lots of descriptions of abusive, sadistic and otherwise traumatizing and triggering behavior that a parent perpetuated toward a child or multiple children. Descriptions of violence, a main character with emotional issues that will be dealt with, and a whole lot of the 'aftermath' of battles in a war. Even a few descriptions of some of those battles. Things of that nature. If you can't handle one of those, please do not read.) {I had this idea to write a 'common route' and then 'romance routes' like they do in otomes? Book 1 is the common route, and then at book 2, you choose your love interest. Each of which is encased in their own book.}
