They arrived back at the Hasbin gulf before the clock struck midnight. Before they did anything, they revisited the guild quest room and turned in their quest, amassing their rewards.

[New Skill!]
Blind Immunity
"Huh, it looks like I only gained 1 ability this time. What's up with that Versys?" Rein thought.
"Looks like their skills combined into that one. Since they both had sight-based Springs, they fused into one skill after you killed them together. This skill will give you super eyes, so you won't be affected by bright lights, or by blinding spells. You can even look directly at the sun if you want!" Versys stated, explaining more than what Rein asked him for.
The group exited the quest room and stood in a circle together.
"So then, what's our next move?" Xenia asked as she stretched her arms. "Do we wait for a request to pop up in Alwaaq?" She queried.
"I'd rather not wait that long though…" The restless Chloe exclaimed, turning to Rein, as she always did when in doubt. "Do you have an idea Rein?"
"Yes, I do," Rein said while nodding to her. "Why wait for a quest when we could put in our own request?" Rein posed to the group, which lit an idea into all of their brains as well.
"You are right. We are Rangers, albeit students, but this is still a matter of utmost importance," Clyde agreed.
"Yeah, so if there isn't already a request, then we should just put one in ourselves. But can we even do that as students?" Reggie asked.
"We may not be able to, but someone else can," Rein hinted.
"Hey, why don't we do what Raxo and your little sis did back when we went to Naji?" Quint proposed, Rein nodding at him with a smile on his face.
"Exactly. Good thinking man," Rein complimented, Quint looking away in embarrassment. "Well, let's head to the dorm and get some rest for today. I'll ask Emria to put the escort request in tomorrow," Rein suggested as they all began walking towards the dorm building, with the exception of Xenia, who broke off from the group since she still lived with the principal.

As Rein and Chloe entered the room, they suddenly heard a loud explosion emerge from Emria and Saphrilla's room. Panicked, they both rushed into their room, seeing a black cloud of smoke emerging from the corner of the room, with 2 girls hugged up against 1 girl.
"*cough* *cough*. Oh! Look, Rein and Chloe are back!" Emria pointed as the smoke dissipated, Rein and Chloe standing at the threshold with bewildered expressions, a gaping hole in the wall appearing from the explosion.
"Hey, Raxo… Mind explaining what just happened?" Chloe asked with an angered look, Raxo recoiling in nerves as she began sweating coldly.
"Ah… Ahahaha… There was kind of a chemical leakage in the basement, so we had to move our experiment to up here…" She explained, bowing her head in an apologetic manner. "Sorry…"
Chloe sighed and put a hand on her face in disappointment, facepalming at the absurdity of what just happened.
"You're lucky Emria has that Spring… Because if there was even one scratch on their cute little faces…" Chloe summoned her sword with thunderous fury, her eyes closed with a soul-piercing smile of death plastered on her face, making Raxo turn as white as a ghost as she ran back and hid behind Emria.
"Haha, calm down Chloe," Rein chuckled as he put a hand on her shoulder, calming her down. "The next time you 3 want to do an experiment up here though, do it in the soundproof room. We don't want to wake anyone up with this noise," Rein calmly asked.
"You are not mad, Rein?" Saphrilla tilted her head in confusion.
"Yeah, we blew a hole in the wall, and even part of the window… That must be expensive to fix since this is the luxury room…" Emria dejectedly said, an ashamed expression on her visage.
"I'll pay for the repairs! It's the least I can do!" Raxo continuously bowed down, Rein stopping her, telling her to raise her head.
"It's fine. I can repair it for free," Rein claimed, telling them all to move out of the way as he stood in front of the large hole in the wall.
He took a deep breath and activated STO and memory flip, taking the Spring of wind and the time reverse Spring he obtained from one of his classmates during the dodgeball tournament. He used both Springs at the same time, forming a wormhole in front of where he outstretched his hand, right in the middle of the incision in the wall. He used the wind to raise all of the fallen debris around it, and flew them all into the wormhole at the same time, suddenly reappearing with a wall that looked as good as new.

"Wow! That was cool!" Emria gushed as she inspected the wall.
"Very cool indeed," Saphrilla enthusiastically nodded after her, both of their lit-up eyes feeling the wall's sturdiness.
"Wha! How'd you do that! Did you just reverse time on that wall?!" Raxo freaked out, Rein nodding.
"Yeah? What's got you so pressed?"
"Amazing… You think you could do that to all of my failed machines? Maybe I can start from scratch," Raxo requested, Rein nervously laughing as he turned her down.
"Hahaha… That might be a job for another person. Good luck though!" Rein rejected her request, making her slightly downcast. "But it's perfect that you're here Raxo. Since you technically owe me one now, can you do me a favor tomorrow?" Rein asked.
"Huh? A request? What do you mean?"
"Just come up to our room tomorrow morning. I'll give you the details then," Rein proposed, Raxo accepting and leaving the room.
"So then…" Chloe turned her head to Emria and Saphrilla, a scolding expression on her face. "What were you 2 doing up at this hour?"
"O-oh, it wasn't…"
"We were just…"
The 2 fiddled around guiltily, Chloe eventually sighing, letting out her anger as she hugged them both.
"You know I can't stay mad at you," she smiled. "I was just worried you'd get hurt. Sorry for getting angry girls," she tightly snuggled them, Emria laughing and Saphrilla smiling at Chloe's merciful nature.
"Why are you the one apologizing now?" Rein palmed his face. "Anyways, let's head to bed already. It's getting pretty late," Rein said as he walked out of the room and towards the bathhouse.
He went in to wash himself off from the long day, then exiting and heading off to bed.
The next day, Sunday December 31st of the year 1206, the last day of the year. It was a day off since it was Sunday, and once again, Rein took the opportunity to oversleep without a blanket, not even shivering at the cold that was beginning to set into the continent.
"Rein, wake up. Raxo's at the door," Chloe announced as she peeked her head into his room, Rein springing up instantly as he heard her voice.
"Let her in," he said, now wide awake.
In the meantime, Rein got changed out of his sleep attire, and into a more casual look, which wasn't his usual adventuring outfit. He wore a simple black shirt and slim white pants, which were much more comfortable than they looked.
He walked out to the living room, where he saw Chloe and Raxo sitting on the couch.
"Emria and Sahprilla! Come here for a second!" Rein yelled across the dorm room, reaching the 2 girls' ears as they emerged from their rooms and attended the meeting the 3 were having.
"Yeah Rein? Did you need something from us?" Emria curiously asked, looking at Raxo and Chloe in the process.
"Yes, I do. You're gonna be coming with us on this next mission Emria," Rein informed, which lit a fire of excitement in her eyes.
"Really?! No way!" Emria reacted.
"Yes way. In fact, you're gonna be the one to put in the request. Just like how Saphrilla did last time," Rein explained as the 2 girls sat down on one of the couches.
"Yeah, since there aren't any commissions to take us to Alwaaq currently, which is where my brother is, we're gonna need your help to get there," Chloe explained, which got Emria even more thrilled.
"And that means the reason you wanted Raxo to do you a favor was so that she could take care of me while you 3 are away, is that correct?" Saphrilla inquired.
"Well, yes that's part of it. But there's also something else," Rein revealed, which caught Saphrilla and Raxo's attention. "I need you 2 to work with Core on something…"

Digital Immigrant
This is the story of how James Allen Quick and Sarah Lynn Abernathy died. By 'died', I mean that their hearts stopped, their brains ceased sending electrical impulses, and all other physical functions terminated. Immediately after which, their bodies were placed into an industrial furnace, reduced to ash, and the ash was spread about in one of the last forest reserves in North America. As ash-spreading locations go, this ranked third. First and second places were, of course, a person’s favorite athletic team’s playing field and the sea. Or rather, I should say that this is how the story begins. You see, it’s what came after that is so interesting.
