Zhang Yong's thoughts got disturbed when suddenly that man yelled and the next moment his eyes widened seeing the scene in front of him. The man started to shiver badly. His eyes started to roll backwards and soon his head started to move here and there like he was dizzy.
"What happened?" Zhang Yong got worried seeing his situation and hurriedly stepped forward.
He just couldn't help but think about those words which that man said about him not having much time. Senior Zhang Yong also got worried and stepped forward.
But before they could even react and see what was going on with that man, foam started to come out of his mouth and soon his eyes got closed. Zhang Yong and Senior Zhang Yong saw that man going unconscious in front of them but they just weren't able to do any thing.
"What happened to him?" Senior Zhang Yong was the one who asked this time with a worried look on his face.
Zhang Yong just stopped there, he wasn't even panicking any more and just stood there as he put his head down like he was regretting his deeds and didn't know what to do now.
"What happened to you now?" Senior Zhang Yong asked Zhang Yong.
He heaved a big sigh before saying again but this time his voice was just getting low with his words, "I think…. he was right."
He paused there for some time before again sighing and saying, "I think he is dead."
"No! This can't be true." Senior Zhang Yong exclaimed with a worried look on his face and went ahead to check upon that man again, not believing that he was dead.
But as soon as he went ahead to check up on him, they suddenly heard voices coming from outside. Their head immediately got snapped towards the door but soon the voices grew louder.
It was like some people were running and coming inside the house while yelling out this caught their attention and they realized that some thing was not right.
"Let's just leave this man here and go check who is outside." Zhang Yong suggested at which Senior Zhang Yong just nodded his head.
"Let's go!"
Senior Zhang Yong again nodded his head and went towards the door. He opened the door a little and peeked out but when he saw no one, he frowned and turned around saying to Zhang Yong, "Let's go out."

"Okay!"
Senior Zhang Yong was the one who moved out first and when he realized that no one was there he gestured to follow him through his hand and himself went ahead.
In no time they were out of there, They were about to go to the left side but as soon as they stepped out of there, a voice called out for them behind their back. "Hey! Stop right there."
Senior Zhang Yong and Zhang Yong turned back but their eyes fell on those well built men and demons, their eyes widened when they realized they were too much in number. They looked at each other all horrified.
"RUN!" Suddenly Senior Zhang Yong yelled and before thinking about any thing else, he started to run and Zhang Yong followed him. They didn't go far away until they were surrounded by some more well built men.
'I can't fight with them all alone. And I don't think we will be able to take them down even with Senior Zhang helping me.' He said to himself in his mind.
He was in his thoughts when he heard a voice from behind, "Hello! Nice to meet you."
He turned around only to see a man in his late fifties standing there in all his glory. One of his teeth came into display when he creepily smiled towards Zhang Yong.
"Nice to meet you too." Zhang Yong replied while getting a hold of herself.
He was trying to be as calm as possible but from inside he was really scared and didn't know what to do.
"Let's go inside and have a good talk." Again he creepily smiled and showed Senior Zhang Yong and Zhang Yong his teeth which they now wanted to smash off badly but he again tried his best to remain calm and not break down there.
"Sure! Let's go."
Zhang Yong also smiled at him and started to talk steps towards him with his head up in the air.
Senior Zhang Yong looked at Zhang Yong who was walking ahead of them with disbelief like had gone mad or some thing. He was astounded to see him walking towards him not caring about who he was and what harm he might cause them.
Zhang Yong looked into Senior Zhang Yong's eyes before going towards that man, he tried to talk through his eyes but it looked like Senior Zhang Yong wasn't able to get anything.

"Looks like Zhang Yong has gone mad. He is going back towards him by himself." Senior Zhang Yong said in his mind when he wasn't able to understand his gestures but then he again said to himself, "I think he has some thing planned so let's just follow him."
Senior Zhang Yong just nodded his head and followed him but as soon as he took two steps Zhang Yong had already reached near the creepy looking man who was standing near the door.
He sighed and was about to take some more steps but the next thing that happened in front of them got them completely flummoxed.
The creepy man was just smiling and gazing at Zhang Yong when all of a sudden he twirled around.
While twirling around he got a hold of that man and was now standing just beside him with one hand holding him in his place and the other hand had his sword which he pulled out of his back just then.
"What the hell!" The man yelled out loud when he realized what position he was in now.
"LEAVE ME YOU…."
Before he could say any thing else Zhang Yong placed the sword more firmly to his neck.
With fear in his eyes, he said as he shuddered, "What? What are you .... What are you even trying to ….. do ...?"
"Why don't we just sit down and talk to civil people?"
Again he smiled creepily but now Zhang Yong wasn't in the mood to listen to him or see his smile.
He looked here and there as he analyzed his surroundings and then yelled, fearlessly from the top of his lungs, "BACK OFF!"
No one moved from their place.
"STEP BACK!" "LET US GO! OTHERWISE I WON'T WASTE A MINUTE MORE BEFORE SLITTING OFF HIS NECK."
Still, no one moved from his place and kept on standing there and staring at Zhang Yong.
He growled in annoyance and kept the sword closer to his neck such that blood started to ooze out from the little cut made by that sword.
At that only, the man yelled when he felt his blood coming out of the neck and pain gushed inside his neck.
"Hey! Hey! Calm down." That man said as he smiled a little.
"LET THEM GO!" He yelled at his man and finally, they moved back now.
Zhang Yong smiled in victory. She looked at Senior Zhang Yong and yelled. "RUN FROM HERE. GO AND GET OUT OF HERE FIRST."
Senior Zhang Yong was hesitant to leave Zhang Yong there like that so he yelled back. "What about you? I can't just..."
"Shut up! Just go away from here."
"But…."
"I said go away, this instance. Don't make it difficult for me too."
Senior Zhang Yong frowned a little but then he nodded his head and said to Zhang Yong, "Okay, I am going."
Zhang Yong nodded back at him. Soon Senior Zhang Yong ran away from there as fast as possible.
He acted according to Zhang Yong's words and came out of the house. As soon as he was out he ran around to find a suitable place for him to hide and soon he found one and he hid there.
Zhang Yong was now left alone there. He was still holding the dagger near that man's neck, scaring him again and again that he might cut his neck any minute.
"Move!"
Zhang Yong told the man as soon as he saw that Senior Zhang Yong had left from there. He started to drag the man with him still holding the dagger near his neck.
The man didn't do anything else but followed Zhang Yong as he was scared of him. Like an obedient person, he followed Zhang Yong and even told his men to stay away otherwise he would hurt him.
Zhang Yong kept his eyes on every man, noticing their every movement. He was already scared of that man but he wasn't just showing that on his face.
His face held seriousness and anger showing those men that he would slit his neck if they were to do some thing bad.

Life of a Core
After a disembodied voice had told him he was what amounted to an exceptionally talented rock, it had been hard to not let it go to his non-existent head. Until, random chance had decided to give him a square kick in the minerals. Which had in turn forced him to fend for himself in an unknown land, all while he attempted to make sense of his place in the world. Truthfully though, all he had really wanted to do from the start had been to bury himself a hundred feet below the ground and be left to his own devices. Yet, for one reason or another, nobody ever seemed willing to leave the dungeon-building core alone long enough to actually make one. Each chapter will average around two to three thousand words, the release schedule is still a WIP but you should expect the first six chapters to be released over the next six days. This is planned out as a dungeon building fiction, but don't expect it right off the bat! The story is a depiction of the everyday adventures (alongside an overarching plot) of what I imagine a dungeon core would experience when thrust into a random environment where everything and everyone tried to covet or eat him. I also really enjoy reading the comments and reviews people leave and would love to get some reader involvement with the story itself, likely through polls at the end of each chapter. I hope you enjoy my story! (If you feel like some of the characters seem familiar, you may have read some older work I wrote a while back under a different account. If you happen to be one of my old readers and recognize the similarities, I'm happy to have you back!)
