My Four Other Selves Chapter 44

"Look here, the dagger was laying and he was laying beside him. I saw him going unconscious. I even sat there for some time to check if he would move but he didn't."
Senior Zhang Yong again frowned and looked at his surroundings.
"I don't know what to do now. There is no one around here."
"But he was right here. How could this happen? Where did he vanish?"
Senior Zhang Yong put his both hands up and shrugged like he didn't know where that man was going.
"I think we should try to find him at least."
Senior Zhang Yong nodded his head.
"Go find him."
Both of them scattered and started to look for that man but no one was able to find him.
"Looks like he already ran away from here."
"Yeah."
"So what do we do now?" Zhang Yong asked, getting worried.
"Hmm, I don't think we should do any thing about this matter. Let's just go and try to reach the center of this jungle. I am sure we would be able to get many things out of there."
Zhang Yong nodded his head and moved away from there.
Zhang Yong didn't want to go and wanted to find that man first but when he saw Senior Zhang Yong giving him a reassuring look that they would do some thing about it he also nodded and moved away from there.
Both of them went back to their place only to see Fuzzy standing and looking at his surroundings like he was waiting for his prey to come in front of him.
Zhang Yong ran to him and put his hand on his head, "What happened Fuzzy?" he asked, looking at the place where he was looking.

"Why are you looking there? What's there?"
Zhang Yong moved to look where he was looking and the senior Zhang Yong did too but they weren't able to see any thing.
"What happened to ya man?" Senior Zhang Yong asked and Fuzzy roared in reply.
Both of them immediately got some thing was wrong. Senior Zhang Yong moved around the place to find any thing suspicious but he found nothing like that here.
"Ahh, I don't know why he is being like this?"
Zhang Yong went near Senior Zhang Yong again and said, "Maybe he just saw an animal and wanted to eat it. You leave him and tell me what should we do about that man?"
Senior Zhang Yong scratched the back of his neck.
"I don't know man. Like What the heck? Where can he even go? And why did you leave there in the first place? You should stay near him and keep an eye on him but no you just ignored him and came here."
Zhang Yong gritted his teeth at his sudden outburst at him. It wasn't his fault that he ran away, he just went to tell Senior Zhang Yong about it thinking that the man was unconscious and wouldn't run away.
He didn't know that he would run away like this and when they would come back he wouldn't be there anymore.
"Well, I heard your voice so I thought I should come and tell you about him."
"But you saw a man here, you should have kept an eye on him. We could have gotten so much information out of him but no you missed that chance also." Zhang Yong said as he pushed him to the side and looked at him with a worried look on his face.

"Yeah! I know but that man was unconscious and I DIDN'T KNOW HE WOULD RUN AWAY so I thought it would be okay if I came."
He scratched the back of his head awkwardly but Senior Zhang Yong's eyes widened suddenly as he had just realized some thing.
He again pushed Zhang Yong to the side and hurriedly went over to check up on the map which he prepared just now but as soon as he reached there he just couldn't believe his eyes.
Even though he was seeing every thing in front of him, it looked like his mind didn't want to agree that this was the truth.
He hurriedly went over to the place where he kept the map but now he was nowhere to be seen.
The other things of Senior Zhang Yong which he was using in making the map were still kept there on the ground. Then his eyes fell on those foot prints going away from the tree.
There were two different types of foot prints there and that man couldn't make two different types of foot prints alone.
So it was obvious some one was there with him who was helping him all along and who helped him to get out of here.
He looked here and there but yet again no one was to be seen there any more and then he growled in frustration. "Ahhh."
He looked at that place for some time more like glared at that place and clenched his fists tightly.
He was now angry, really angry, and was trying his best not to outburst at Zhang Yong.
Hearing Senior Zhang Yong's growl Zhang Yong also hurriedly came down to check what happened to him, he looked at him for a minute and then at the place where his eyes were continuously glaring at.
"What the hell!!" Senior Zhang Yong yelled as Zhang Yong approached him and looked at him with an innocent look. But he was too angry now. All his efforts just went in vain.
He wanted to beat some one badly and let out all his frustration at some one and Zhang Yong standing there beside him wasn't helping at all.
"Where did that map go? I just put it here and went to find you where is it now?"
"...."
"I think that man took it with him. He knows what we wanted to do and he doesn't want us to go to the middle of the jungle."

EDIT(June 18): So I should warn you guys, I have been told that the chapters have too many info dumps. This is a shortcoming that i am now aware of thanks to comments and reviews mentioning that fact. Since i know many readers enjoy the character interactions much more, that is what im planning to increase with my future chapters. I would say only my more recent chapters have decent amounts of character interactions and this is what i will take a larger focus on from now on. Although there will still be information presented, I intend to not make them so long. If you can get past the info dumps, you may like the story. Who knows. EDIT(August 19): The summary above is new. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I dont usually do this... but if you like TLK, this story, then feel free to check out my other work: http://royalroadl.com/fiction/5893
