My Four Other Selves Chapter 29

"You need to learn all those special skills like hand combat and martial arts so you need to start your training and you both help each other to improve your attacking skills."
Both the Zhang Yongs also agreed to that and just nervously nodded their heads.
Zhang Yong's brain was messed up now. All this information was too much for him to digest in one day. He felt like his head was getting heavy but the urge to not let Rosa go from there and ask her some more questions was still there so he ended up blurring out the first thing that came to his mind.
"Well, I wanted to ask you: Is there any danger in any of this? I mean is all this safe?"
He asked innocently but didn't know how stupid he was looking at that time.
Both Rosa and the other Zhang Yong looked at him like he had gone stupid or was he serious but looking at his scared and confused face they sighed and realized that he was damn serious.
The other Zhang Yong put his hand on his face to stop himself from getting embarrassed any further. Even the thought that his real self was this stupid was making him angry and embarrassed.
Ross laughed and said. "Are you out of your mind? You can get killed any minute in this journey. Let me give you advice, never trust anyone other than yourself otherwise you will only get yourself killed, and don't take anything lightly. Your journey will be full of thorns and you will get to meet different people. Some might be good and some might be bad but it depends on you how you will be surviving and coping up with every thing."
Zhang Yong nodded his head still with a blank face.

"Okay. I think I should be going now. Enough for today."
She flew a little away from them and again turned back while saying, "And even if you guys know how to call me now. Nut don't you dare call me without any emergency otherwise I would come and kill both of you myself. Plus I can't help you with anything other than giving a little bit of information which I know. Other than that you have to work hard yourself. "
They scoffed a little and rolled their eyes at her.
"Okay, babies say bye bye."
"....."
Soon the blue light out of which Rosa came earlier again appeared in front of their eyes.
"And yeah..."
Rosa was just about to go in it when she turned back and said, "Go to the center of the jungle. Your answers lie there."
With that said she vanished away in the blue light.
Both the Zhang Yongs stood rooted at their place for some time.
"What did she mean?"
"I don't know man but I think she wants us to go to the center of the jungle."
"But….. How are we supposed to go there? We don't have any map or anything so how can we get to know where the center is?"
The other Zhang Yong scratched the back of his neck as he tried to think of something but then when nothing came to his mind he sighed and said, "I don't know.... "
As he said that he went over and sat down near a wall while leaning on it. Zhang Yong also went near him and sat beside him. They sat there for some time and let themselves relax a little.
"Let's do this, we can relax here for an hour and then we can start training after that." The other Zhang Yong was the one who announced it.

"Okay!"
Zhang Yong leaned back a little more and moved here and there trying to make himself comfortable but on that ground, he wasn't able to get much comfortable. He put both his hands under his head and looked up. The other Zhang Yong laid down while his back facing Zhang Yong.
'I still need to kill two more animals to complete today's mission. How will I be able to do it? I know I killed a bunny today too but that was just a little cute bunny and my arrow got hit by chance but now..... two more animals and that too mammals. How would I be able to do it?"
As usual Zhang Yong was getting suspicious of his own abilities. He was highly doubting himself and didn't believe that he would be able to complete any of these missions.
"Why do I have a feeling that I might die in the first mission only?" He mockingly laughed at himself. He kept on thinking about his future until his eye lids started to get heavy and soon he fell into a deep sleep not caring about his surroundings at all.....

The Final Test
Earth was overtaken by the Calumnia ten years ago and if it weren't for the alien Occisio race who saved the remnants of humanity, Indi's race would have gone extinct. Now, at the age of sixteen, Indi and the other surviving children are about to complete their training and return to Earth to kill the monster that destroyed their world and killed their parents. However, the children on the Occisio's spaceship have been dismissed one by one in training tests and only a few of them remain. Will Indi prove himself skilled enough to become a soldier? Or will he fail humanity as his parents did? This short story (in 13 parts) is a love letter to fans of Ender's Game and Maze Runner. (I may eventually turn this into a novel but for now, I hope you enjoy this 10,000 word story about hope and overcoming one's weakness.) [This story will appear on other websites as well, such as Wattpad and Royal Road.]

Get on a train. Head east. Get on a ship. Travel further east, in style. See some wonders of the world. Find what was lost. Find where home is. How hard is any of that?Well, for Jake Ranger, pretty damned hard. The world being a wild, crazy mess from a global altering event called the Shattering doesn’t help much. Nor does being a famous folk hero. That last one really sucks, because people always run up to famous heroes and beg them for help with all their problems. Then there are the actual outlaws and monsters. They don’t help much either. Mostly they just get in the way and make everything way worse. And in a world that is so screwed up decades after the Shattering, there is a lot of variety to both outlaw and monster. Then there are the more civilized, (read: sane), non-human folk, and good old humans as well. They all get along just spectacularly. Totally best friends, on every level, for life. Of course getting to the east coast is only half the battle. Once there, he must contend with the so-called “civilized people.” Then there’s the ship ride; pirates and sea monsters are a thing too, after all. Should have read the brochure. But when the chips are down, the bad guys are winning and the wild winds of chaos are blowing, it helps to have a fighter on your side. Even if he is a little wild. After all, that’s not really a problem. That’s what beautiful women and lots of gold is for. Proper motivation is always key to success. Welcome to a Steampunk, Wild West, Victorian era, Lovecraftian infested, fantasy, shoot ‘em up world. Complete with a slow build harem of badass beautiful women, crazy adventures, and fun, monstrous villains. Welcome to the world of Wild Steam. Do enjoy your stay.
