Noob Player Chapter 105

"Hoho, you came?" The Blizzard Tiger let out a chuckle.
Shen was surprised when he heard the easy-going chuckle of Lyra. He then checked her wound and realized that she was fully recovered. There was not even a trace of blood on her fur.
The Ice Boa kept hissing at them as its eyes darted around. It seemed it was looking at its nine petals flowers that ended in his and Lyra's stomach.
"I have one more reward for you to bring back, Shen," Lyra turned her head toward him. "Please protect my children for ten- no, five minutes should be enough. Protect my children inside the cave. I will kill the snake that dared to eat my friend's arm."
After saying that, Lyra charged toward the Ice Boa. At this time, Shen could do nothing. He was too weak to do something. The only thing he could do was to protect the three kittens. He then noticed that the three kittens were about to follow their mother to the outside of the cave.
Shen was panicking a little and immediately caught the three kittens. The three kittens were trying to break free, but he clasped them tightly. "We can't burden your mother while she fights the Ice Boa. We have to trust and wait for her, understand?" He scolded the three kittens.
He was not expecting the three kittens to understand him. However, to his surprise, the three kittens stopped their attempt to break free from him. Then he heard an unexpected voice. He heard a boy's voice in his head, "But what if Mother needs our help?"
Shen looked at the three kittens in his embrace in shock. His eyes opened wide and observed the three kittens. "Who's speaking with me?" Then a kitten in the middle raised its front paw.
"It's me. Can we at least watch the fight from afar, Shen? If Mother needs our help, we can help her immediately." The boy's worried voice rang in his head once again.
"Before there was magic, and now I can hear the beast's voice?" While he grumbled, Shen brought the three kittens to the entrance of the cave. As he was getting closer to the entrance of the cave, Shen felt cold air invading the cave from outside.
When he reached the mouth cave, he stood there in a daze. He blinked his eyes a few times, then he rubbed his eyes as well, "Am I seeing wrong?"
The reason he said that was because the peripheral cave had changed. It was no longer a green forest, but snowy land. There was a strong blizzard as well outside the cave. Everything was white now, completely different from half an hour ago.

"You are not seeing wrong, Shen. It's Mother's power!" The boy's excited voice rang in his head.
Of course, he knew that this was Lyra's doing but just did not expect that her power was this strong. He looked around to find Lyra and The Ice Boa. He did not see them outside the cave. Lyra might lure the Ice Boa away from the cave so the impact of the battle would not affect them.
Shen tried to approach the blizzard under the kitten's persuasion. He was about to step into the blizzard until an enormous shadow hovered above him. He took two steps back subconsciously and looked up.
Shen was relieved and shocked at the same time. He was relieved because the enormous shadow was Lyra. He was shocked because Lyra brought the Ice Boa in her mouth. The Ice Boa was no longer moving. It was dead, no longer breathing.
"What are you doing?" Lyra asked Shen.
"Thank god you are safe," Shen released the three kittens and let them run toward their mother. He then pointed at the kitten, who admitted speaking to him in his mind, "Your boy asked me to watch the fight so he could see you fight. If the Ice Boa corners you, we can help. I think that's a good idea since you have just recovered, so here we are."
"My boy?" Lyra then looked at a specific kitten that was pointed by Shen before she looked back at Shen. "How do you know… Wait, she spoke to you?"
"Yes." Shen nodded his head, "He spoke to my head directly. From the voice, I could tell that he is a boy,"
Lyra nodded her head, "I see." After that brief exchange, the four returned to the cave. Lyra said nothing about her son that could talk to Shen after that. She dragged the Ice Boa. The Ice Boa was around fifteen to twenty meters.
The three kittens tried to eat the Ice Boa, but their mother did not allow the three gluttons to eat the Ice Boa, "Nope, you can't eat that. That's for Shen!"
"It's okay. You don't have to give this snake to me. This Ice Boa might be more useful to you guys than to me," Shen refused to take the Ice Boa. He then observed Lyra, from head to tail, "Anyway, are you okay?"
The Ice Boa was a Boss Class monster. It was certainly very strong even though it was not capable of speaking. Lyra had just recovered, so he just wanted to make sure that Lyra was not injured after the fight.

"I am fine, Shen. If not for my husband ambushing me, he could not injure me either. You don't have to worry about me and please take the Ice Boa with you. I have promised to give the Ice Boa to you. Take it!"
Shen looked at the three kittens. The three kittens were looking at the Ice Boa to the point of drooling. He could not bear to take all of it with him. "What about if we split it? No, I want to give half of it to them." He pointed at the three kittens. He changed his wording, giving half of the Ice Boa to the three kittens, so Lyra could not refuse it. That meant he received her gift, but he wanted to give half of the gift to her children.
"It seems I am not wrong about humans, Shen. You are crafty as well." Lyra smiled as she said that. After saying that, she split the Ice Boa. "We will take the tail part, and you take the head part."
"Agreed." Shen took the head part and stored it in his inventory. He himself did not know what to do with the Ice Boa remnant, 'I will give it to ZhenZhen. She said she loved to cook exotic ingredients. Maybe Brother Jiang can find a part that can be used for smithing as well.
Everything went well. Lyra recovered from her injuries, and his quest was over. Of course, even though he hated the magic, he could not deny that the reward was huge. The Frost Elemental Force, though he did not yet know how to apply that to the battle. He needed to do a few experiments first for that since Tribe Online was unique compared to the previous game. His experience with magic in the previous game might be useless in Tribe Online.
"I think it's time for us to go our separate ways," Shen concluded his accident journey. For some reason, he was thankful that the King of Guardian Beast chased him to this place, or else he could not meet with Lyra and her children. This was an amazing journey, even though he lost one of his hands.
"Wait, Shen," Lyra called him out, "From your story, you reach this place because the King of Guardian Fish chased you. Can you return on your own to your village? I am sorry to say this, but you are quite weak to venture this deep into Vales."
"What do you mean? I just need to follow the path where the King of Guardian Fish chased me. I did not encounter any monster on my way here, but that King of Guardian Fish. I think I can come back safely." Shen nodded his head with confidence, but Lyra shook her head.
"No, the reason you did not encounter other monsters was because of the King of the Guardian Fish. The monsters are scared of that fish or else you will encounter not just one but many dangerous monsters," Lyra explained.
"What?" Shen was surprised to hear that. However, Lyra's explanation made sense. The reason he did not encounter any monster was because of the King of Guardian Fish. Normal monsters were scared of the Boss Level monster, and the other Boss Level monster would not confront the King of the Guardian Fish unless provoked.
"Don't worry, Shen. I will deliver you back to your village." Lyra assured him with a smile, "I can do this much after all you have done to me."
"But what about your village? What if your husband takes control of your village while you are not there? You need to return to your village as soon as possible." Shen felt bad if Lyra delayed her matter for escorting him. Both were concerned about each other.
"It's okay, Shen. He could never take control of my village easily. A few hours delay will change nothing. Let me escort you back after those kids finish their meal." Lyra waved her front paw as if her matter was not urgent at all.
At this point, Shen did not refuse her offer anymore. There was no need to waste their time arguing about this.
After the three kittens finished their meals, Shen and the three kittens rode Lyra. With Lyra's speed, Shen arrived at the village in fifteen minutes, or maybe even less than that.
Ming, Dale, ZhongL, and Yue were looking at Shen in awe. They were doing their running training and saw the massive Blizzard Tiger. They stopped at what they were doing and looked at the tiger.

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.

The Last Death Mage
Since time immemorial humanity has always feared and shunned what it didn’t understand. Over time this changed a bit to encompass things that didn’t conform to their thoughts and ideals. Due to humanity’s stubbornness with which the enforced their ideals many lives were lost and changed. When humanity first clashed with monsters and the beings that use magic, this trait caused many bloody fights. Over time the fights escalated into battles and full on war on several occasions. Humanity due to their adaptability and persistence won many of these altercations, causing huge casualties to the magical beings. Humanity did not come out unscathed however; many of the empires and civilizations noted in human history fell due to these battles and wars. Eventually over time humanity and the magical beings came to a sort of agreement. Magic and the beings associated with it faded into the background of history, being relegated to myth and legend. Humanity meanwhile advanced leaps and bounds once magic faded, leading to our current level of civilization. Not all magical beings were content with this, thus they did their own actions and killed or fed on humans. This has led to many organizations to be formed concerning this, on both the side of humanity and the side of magical beings. They regulate and control the use of magic as well as protect humanity from the darker things that are now not but myth to them, but there is a reason humanity instinctually fears the dark. Unfortunately there are always those that are unsatisfied by the status quo, and those that are prejudiced against things that are different. This is a story of a young man who wanted nothing more than to be normal. Unfortunately Fate and the world he lives in do not easily allow that this, thus his life changed, not for the better. Everyone has heard of or read stories about monsters and legends, heroes and villains, this is one such story. Hi, this is my second attempt at a story here, the first was before the major overhaul happened and i lost everything related to that story due to PC troubles. I hope you enjoy this if you dont please leave some constructive criticism in the comments. An Editor and the like will be needed, but I will edit as problems are pointed out and as i proof read. This story will have no set schedule, unless of course I decide to type up a bunch in succession then i will note that in a chapter beforehand. ADDED NOTE: most sexual content will be in Interludes or sub chapters with a .5 attached. Profanity and gore however shall be plenty in the actual story, though the descriptives for the gore may be added later. (For example, in the prologue that gave a hint at what happened to the MC, will be enhanced so that the gore invokes more descriptive/complete mental pictures, though it may wait.) ~Tyroth Gideon
