Noob Player Chapter 75

The next day, Shen woke up earlier in the morning, six in the morning. He got up and changed into training pants and went jogging. Doctor Lu allowed him to jog again but he could not put too much work on his injured feet. As long as he did not force himself like before, it should be fine.
He followed the river path in front of his apartment for fifteen minutes before he turned around, returning with the same route. By the time he returned to the front of the apartment, it was around six-thirty in the morning.
"Let's eat breakfast first," He did not return to his apartment and continued toward the Wen Bun. It was Saturday, the shop was not crowded as usual this early with no workers around. Shen entered the shop and he saw the little girl was bringing a basket of steamed buns with her two hands. Behind her, Shuren was following closely.
From the look of it, Eunha must want to help but she could not do much with the making process so she tried to help by bringing the cooked buns to the counter, "Ooo, Eunha is working hard," Shen commented but the little girl did not budge. Her eyes focused on the basket in front of her. She made sure that the basket did not fall.
He shook his head as he took a plate and started to walk to the counter. He got himself two cabbage buns, one chive bun, and one meat bun. Shen placed the plate on the table and he got a cup of soymilk.
By the time he finished taking up the buns for his breakfast, Eunha had finished her mission. The basket was safely delivered to the counter and she returned to the same table as him. She had her plate with two buns on it. Her favorite was the same as Shen's, the cabbage bun.

"Good Morning, Brother Shen," Eunha greeted him with her sweet smile as she climbed up onto her chair. Shuren wanted to help, but she refused by saying, "I am not a little girl, I can climb by myself."
Both ate their buns together, "This is so yummy, right, Brother Shen? I am fortunate that Mama Jun adopted me so I can eat the yummy bun," the little girl commented as they ate the buns.
"Tonight, Brother Shuren will bring me to Uncle Hou stall for dinner. Do you want to join, Brother Shen?" When he heard the invitation, Shen furrowed his brows. Malatang was oily food, he thought it was not good for Eunha.
Shen looked toward Shuren, "It's okay, Eunha will not eat malatang. Uncle Hou also made fried rice and crispy fish soup. Eunha can eat them," Shuren explained, "I want to bring her to meet Lin Lin so she can make a new friend."
"Ah, I see. Then let's have dinner together," Shen agreed to have dinner together. As they finished their buns, Sister Mei Mei entered the shop, "I am back! Where's my little sister?"
Eunha climbed down from the chair and turned around, she was about to rush over, but Mei Mei was faster than her. Sister Mei Mei scooped Eunha and picked her up, "What are you talking about? Dinner together? Can Big Sister Mei join too?"
"Of course, you can join us too," Eunha replied with a giggle. Sister Mei Mei sat on the chair and put Eunha on her lap, "What about lunch? Do you want to eat with Big Sister Mei?"
"Mnn, let's have lunch together," Eunha readily agreed with the offer. Shen smiled as he looked at the three siblings. He was really glad that Auntie Jun adopted Eunha.
After he had his breakfast, he returned to his apartment. He took a shower and was ready to dive in. He had made a promise with Ming to hunt the Guardian Fish together. The fish's stock started to run out, they needed to hunt more to stock up.

Shen logged into the game. He found Ming was on the table with an empty plate, chatting with ZhenZhen. He did not see Dale, but he could hear the clanking noise from the house across from him. WealthyGuy was working hard. As for Yue, he did not see her.
Upon noticing his arrival, ZhenZhen ran to her house and brought the roasted fish. After working on the fish for days, she managed to get rid of the sticky substance in Guardian Fish. The fish tasted better than before.
"This is your breakfast, Shen," She placed the plate in front of him. Shen nodded, "Thanks."
"What took you so long to log in? You have promised to hunt together," Ming complained while in fact, Shen was not late. It was just Ming who logged in too early.
Shen merely rolled his eyes at his friend and looked toward ZhenZhen, "Can you prepare more roasted fish for us? We will be hunting all day so we need supply,"
"Alright, leave it to me," ZhenZhen nodded and rushed back to her house.
"How is it? Have you made some progress, Ming?" Shen changed the topic so his friend would stop grumbling at him. The way he changed the topic was on the spot. Ming immediately forgot about the complaints as he made a saddened expression and shook his head, "I don't even dare to ask her number so I made zero progress. You should help me, Shen?"
If Ming did not make a serious expression, he might think Ming was joking. Shen once again rolled his eyes at him, "You are asking my help who is also inexperienced with this love thingy? You must be joking, Ming!" He never dated even a girl for once yet this guy brazenly asked for help from him.
"But she is so different when with you. She becomes enthusisatic or something but that was not the case when she was with me. Maybe you can set us up for a date?" Ming's expression brightened at the idea.
"Nope," Shen flatly refused his friend's request, "Dale is here, you should ask his advice instead. As for why she became enthusiastic with me because we talked about food. You should learn a thing or two things about food if you want to have a smooth conversation with her,"
After saying that, Shen ignored his friend. He ate the roasted fish and while eating he checked the status window.

8 2863The Defective Hermit
Vincent Standish had faced a lot of disappointments during the last five years. But things were finally starting to look up for him and in a big way too. While working the late shift at his second part time job, as a cashier in a gas station, on a whim he bought a lottery ticket which had a jackpot that had grown extremely large. Three days later he was astonished to find that he was one of three lottery winners. With that money he was able to retire, when he had been afraid that he would be forced work until the day that he died, or worse yet living in a cardboard box if he lost his two paltry paying jobs. Vincent soon found forty acres of land and quickly had his simple and robust dream home constructed. Disappointed in people, it was his avowed goal to be a hermit and shun the world. Too bad for his dreams that only a year after winning the lottery, all of humanity started seeing colored text messages before their very eyes, messages that warned of dire things to come.
8 553Up In Space
New chapter every other day Iain Compton never planned to be abducted by an alien spaceship. It just… happened. And now he’s been awakened 22,000 years in the future and half a galaxy away by a pair of oddly human seeming beak nosed aliens and a space ship A.I. that seems to have more than a few screws loose. Oh, and then there's this gorgeous alien woman who he probably shouldn’t trust at all. His plan is to find a way home to Earth, even if its unlikely to be remotely the same; to find a better class of companions among an often strange and inexplicable galactic community, at least one who won’t use him or sell him out at the first opportunity; and to do something about the parasites in his brain who are supposed to connect him to a library the size of the galaxy, but seem to only be telling him that almost everyone and everything he comes across wants to kill him. But at least he can still send tweets.
8 65The Designated: Out of Control
It happened quicker than anyone would have imagined. Multiple hurricanes were one thing. People had dealt with that in the past. But, like kids playing dominoes, one thing crashed into another. Areas affected by hurricanes needed resources all along the Gulf and East Coasts drew rescuers and resources away from other parts of the country. When wildfires lit up the Pacific coast and mid-west, those areas were already understaffed. Driven by hurricanes in the Pacific basin, uncontrolled wildfires burned through towns, destroying everything in their paths. Across the Pacific, Asia didn't escape. From the Philippines, across China, into Indochina, and Bangladesh and India. Typhoons and cyclones pounded the coasts and far inland. Widespread flooding forced millions from their homes and across international borders. Mexico was hit hard and thousands died in mudslides as Katia slammed into their East Coast. The refugees fled north and west. Rumours started that hundreds of thousands were headed for the US border. Instead of running out of steam in the southern US, several hurricanes tore up the eastern seaboard, devastating cities and renewing their strength before veering east across the Atlantic. Maria and Ophelia veered east and slammed into Europe, reaching as far as the Netherlands and Russia before finally dissipating. After that, too many weather stations were offline to provide any form of co-ordinated information or warnings. Wildfires in Portugal burned ahead of the storms, fanned by hurricane winds. They sparked wildfires leapfrogging across Europe, beyond any one country's ability to cope. Already uneasy from multiple terrorist attacks over the summer, anti-refugee groups seized the opportunity to stage protests across Europe. Some turned violent as they clashed with police forces. Several governments declared martial law to quell the rioting and enforce evacuations along the path of the storms. Rumour and speculation overwhelmed facts. Unrest spilled over into widespread violence. Then sickness broke out in the displaced populations. Within a matter of a dozen weeks, tens of millions died. In the coming winter months hundreds more would follow. The Designated Project was activated.

Hope you enjoy!××Willowed_Wisp××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××My breath hitches in my throat, as deep crimson eyes bore into mine through the inky, yet comforting, darkness, and a hand, pale and large compared to my own tiny little paw, begins to reach out for me. A tiny chirp of fear leaves my lips, as I scoot further back until my back hits the cold wall, and flatten my ears against my head." Come on Angel... We won't hurt you." The man soothes, his already thick voice, due to his sexy British accent, sounding thicker due to his long, ivory fangs that gleam silver in the Moonlight, as he tries to coax me out from under the bed.I shake my head violently, my nose twitching wildly, as my fluffy red tail curls around my dark brown paws, and I lower my head until my chin bangs lightly against the wooden floor. I realize, with a jolt of fear, that the Vampire is gone! Leaving Robyn and myself alone. My glowing amber eyes widen, as his hand suddenly whips out from my left, and closes around the back of my neck.I look to Robyn for help, my claws scraping across the floor, creating scratches in the polished wood, only to see the spot where he once was empty. I give a series of terrified yelps, as the man gently pulls me out by the scruff of the neck, and holds me up in front of him.My tiny, dark brown paws churn wildly in the air, my ears flat, and my tail waving around wildly, as he looks me up and down, and then pulls me into his muscular chest... Wrapping a small blanket around my wriggling body to calm me down.I begin to chirp and yelp softly, calling out to Robyn, as the man throws the corner of the blanket over my face, and everything goes black. One question rings in my head as I am carried from our home...××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××What is going to happen to us?
