Noob Player Chapter 72

The monotonous day continued, it had been ten days since Shen heard the thing about Eunha. He stopped in front of the hospital. He just met Eunha's doctor that Eunha's condition had been stable and it would be best for her to be discharged instead of staying in the hospital.
Staying longer in the hospital might affect her mentally, it was not good for a healthy person to stay in the hospital. The hospital decided to send her to the orphanage. There was a thought to adopt Eunha by himself but he had been looking for the requirement for the adoption and someone as young as him was not qualified for adoption.
The hospital side had tried to call Eunha's parents every day but the result was not good, "So you have been down because of Eunha, Shen?" Dale stood next to him.
Shen let out a sigh, "I can't imagine what if Eunha knew that she was abandoned by her parents. That would hurt her so much. I think it is more painful than losing your parents to an illness. Both are suck though."
Dale was choked when he heard those words. As someone with a complete family, he could not say anything to encourage Shen. He had never been in his friend's place, who grew up alone since junior high. And if he had to compare the situation, Eunha was more tragic indeed.
"The best thing we can do for Eunha is to look for a good orphanage for her, Shen. How is it? Should we do some research for a good orphanage tomorrow and suggest that to the hospital?" Dale offered a solution rather than leaving his friend depressed like this.
"I guess that's the best I can do for Eunha," Shen nodded and looked at the phone in his hand. The taxi online's driver messaged him that he was in front of the hospital, waiting for them, "The taxi is here, let's return."
The two friends returned with the taxi online. Dale found out that his friend had been training hard to distract himself from the issue. Shen told him when he asked about it hence he came together to visit Eunha today.

They had dinner together with Eunha, so when they returned home they immediately logged into the game. In-game time was early in the morning, a good time to start another training session.
Shen walked out of the house and saw Ming was still doing his squat. The guy was working even harder since Goddess Yue joined the hidden village. Ming noticed Shen as well and called him out, "Yo, Shen. Have you returned from visiting Eunha?"
"Mnn, we just returned," Shen nodded and looked around. He could hear a loud noise from across from his house. That was coming from Brother Jiang's house. The man was still working hard. No one actually knew what he was doing, but he asked what training he had. The WealthyGuy said that he was tempering the steel or something. This game was too real for the production class since the player had to learn it thoroughly before they got the skill. The combat class was luckier since they immediately learned the skill.
Of course, this kind of thing only happened in this hidden village. The continuous training they had and so on. Shen checked his hunger stats and it was quite low 29, "I have to eat something first…"
As soon as he said that, ZhenZhen flushed out of her house with a wooden plate, "Finally! I made the Guardian Fish into real food! Does anyone want to try?"
Shen noticed that Dale just came out of his house but he immediately went back when he heard Guardian Fish. Ming suddenly became wholly focused on his squats, he looked so focused that seemed to not hear ZhenZheny's voice. Shen shook his head and raised his hand at ZhenZhen, "Let me try it!"
The Guardian Fish was hard to cook, it was not as easy as throwing the fish into the pot or fried it into the pan. There was a sticky substance that made the fish's texture weird in the mouth. And the sticky substance was actually very bitter in the mouth. It was as if the fish was not meant to be cooked.
As Shen walked toward ZhenZhen into the table in front of the respawn spot, the clanking sound at Brother Jiang's house stopped. The guy then came out of the house and walked toward ZhenZhen and Runner, "Have you succeeded cooking the fish?" He asked ZhenZhen.

"I don't think I have succeeded but I made the fish more edible and I don't think it tastes as bad as before. Do you want to try?" ZhenZhen was happy that she had more people to try the fish. The happiness of the cook was when someone tried her food and told her about the food she cooked.
"Let me try as well!" Yue, who just returned to the village, expressed her willingness to try. Her existence brought many surprises and Shen did not expect that the famous Goddess was friendly to everyone, "I just finished my running. I need some food to fill my hunger."
"Girl, you should stop the training, or your body will be bulky like these guys!" ZhenZhen pulled WealthyGuy and Runner over then she pulled up their short sleeves, showing the big muscle that naturally formed from the training.
There was no harassment announcement since everyone agreed to list everyone from the harassment system so they would not get electrocuted from simply touching accidentally. Shen had experienced that once. However, Shen immediately broke away from ZhenZhen as he was embarrassed with this.
"Don't worry, Sister ZhenZhen. I have made a setting so my character does not change even though I am working out," Yue came over and smiled at ZhenZhen, she sat next to ZhenZhen right across from Brother Jiang.
"Wow, you should tell me how to set that. I don't want to have a muscular brother from all the training I have gone through," ZhenZhen asked Yue, "It's our luck to have an ex-ranker and also the ambassador of Tribe Online."
"I will after we taste your food. So, what do you make, Sister ZhenZhen?" Then everyone looked at the table where a whole Guardian Fish lay down on the wooden plate. The burned skin told them that it was just a roasted fish, but the golden-brown colored skin was actually looking good to the eyes.
"Then I will try first," Shen was the first one to volunteer to try the food. He took the fork and ripped the meat from the fish. The white and juicy flesh of the fish looked good and perfectly cooked.
Shen delivered the piece of meat into his mouth and tasted it slowly. He chewed the meat, it was soft but he could still feel the sticky substance. It was much less than the beforehand Guardian Fish, it was at the level of could be eaten. He could feel the bitterness from the sticky substance but it was not overwhelming as there was a sweetness to balance the bitterness.
The taste was quite complex as he could feel the sourness and a little bit of spiciness afterward, "Much better than before, but still, that sticky thing is unpleasant on my tongue. But this is actually good, you just need to reduce more of that sticky thing," After saying that, Shen pulled the fish for himself, "You can cook two more fish for them, I will eat this one by myself. I need to recover from my Hunger."
"Hey, me too. I need to eat to fill back my hunger," Brother Jiang complained while Yue merely smiled, "That's why I ask ZhenZhen to cook more fish. One fish is not enough to recover the hunger for three people," Shen replied as he took the second bite. He was not that picky eater. As long as it was not something he was not allergic to or something he hated like goat cheese, he would eat anything that was edible and of course, human food.
Shen ate the whole fish and a screen appeared in front of him.
[You have eaten the Roast Guardian Fish made by Guru Spices Successor! You gain temporary boosts! +30 Agility, +15 Strength, and +10 Endurance for ten minutes!]
"This is actually a good boost! ZhenZhen, from now on, I want to eat fish before I start the training!" He shouted at ZhenZhen who was about to enter her house.

Is That A Wisp?
Author’s Note: The start of the story is very slow and cliche. Give it a chance until the wisp reaches the human cities. It’s at that point that the book’s charm shows itself (Around chapter 20, all free!).

Notice: On hiatus. *profanity tag added just in case a bit of swearing is required, but I'll try to keep it as profanity-lite as possible* RealWorldIII came with the motto "Bringing the imagination back into the gaming" with an innovative skill combination system that promises to create unique (see: not-actually-unique) characters tailored to each player's preferences (see: we-swear-it's-not-random) Alex is a random guy with the motto "Well... whatever" with a history of being at the top of the gaming scene (see: he was a kid back then) that after twenty years of working for daily necessities finds himself facing a tough dilemma: do I go back to being a corporate slave, or do I gain money by playing a game no questions asked? (see: not really a dilemma) The only question is, can an actual "casual", even if ex-pro, survive constantly playing a game? or will he end banging his head on the wall? The story will unfold mainly in-game, with little if any real life events happening.
