Noob Player Chapter 38

It was just a casual dinner so Shen dressed casually. He wore his long training pants and an orange shirt. By the time he finished, the cake arrived.
He brought the cake and looked at the clock. It was six-ten, he could go now. He could help Auntie Jun to cook if he arrived early.
Bringing a box of cake, Shen headed toward Auntie Jun's house. Her house was next to the shop. All he needed was two to three minutes of walking.
He rang the bell and the door opened quickly. Shuren was the one who opened the door. The guy was four years younger than Shen. The guy had a good look and copied the idol's hairstyle he had seen often on advertisements.
A wide smile formed on Shuren's face as soon as he identified him, "Brother Shen!" If Shen did not raise the box in his hand, Shuren might hug him.
"Yo, Shuren," he responded lightly as he handed the box to Shuren. The guy checked the box, "As I thought," Shuren muttered as soon as he saw what was inside the box.
"Come in, Brother Shen. My mom has been nagging me to pick you up. If you don't come in five minutes, I will be sent to pick you for sure," Shuren helplessly shook his head as he told his mother's antics.
Shen smiled in return as he entered the house. It was a two-story house, quite big for a family of three. It was natural since their buns always sold out every day. The house was quite affordable since they were in the suburbs area.
He entered the living room. Uncle Wen was sitting on the sofa while watching the news. The news was still about the mayor's son who hired thugs to beat other players.

"How is it, Brother Shen?" Shuren asked him excitedly.
Shen was aware that the guy was asking him about the game, "The game feel is so realistic and it more complicated than Universe Online," that was his assessment for Tribe Online.
He did not wait for Shuren's response as he greeted Uncle Wen, "Good evening, Uncle Wen."
"Oh, Shen you have come," Uncle Wen turned toward Shen and smiled, "Don't be so formal with us, make yourself at home."
Meanwhile, Shuren did not give up, he wanted to know more about Tribe Online, "Complicated, what do you mean?"
This was not his first time at the house, Shen knew where the kitchen was, "It's hard to explain, but if you search on the forum. You will know," he opened the phone and showed Shuren a referral code.
Only players who bought the game could access the forum. However, the player was given a referral code when they bought the game. Five referral codes so that those who did not play the game could also access the forum if they had the code. For some reason, Sky put the restriction. The reason was still unknown until today.
Some players tried to sell their referral codes, but Shen did not lack money. He still had his five referral codes. He gave it to Shuren, so Shuren could look about the game by himself.
He was not an expert in the game, he did not want to give Shuren wrong advice. From Uncle Wen's attitude, Shuren would have one gaming pod very soon.
Shuren put the box on the table and immediately scanned the code with his phone, "Thank you, Brother Shen," Shuren thanked him with a wide smile. The young guy seemed to know what the code was.

After getting access to the forum, Shuren went to his father's side.
Shen smiled and went into the kitchen, "Evening, Auntie Jun. Let me help you…"

Quickly the time ticked and Big Sister Meimei arrived at six-thirty. Shen could hear the conversation from the kitchen.
"Big Sis Meimei is here, you can go look for her, Auntie. I will look for the stew for you," Shen smiled at the middle-aged lady.
"Hahh… If only Shuren is as half sensible as you, I will have no worries," Auntie Jun let out a sigh, "Then I will leave the stew to you, Shen. We will have dinner in five."
Shen gestured okay to Auntie Jun as he watched over the boiling stew. The voice was getting louder as they spoke.
He was about to take his phone until heard steps from behind. His hand stopped mid-air and turned around, "Long time no see Big Sis," Shen grinned as he witnessed Meimei's failed attempt to surprise him.
"Tsk, you are no fun," in front of Shen was a beauty. She tied her hair into a ponytail and she wore a blue dress with light makeup. She pouted after her failed attempt despite being three years older than Shen.
"You are being so loud yet you want to surprise," Shen rolled his eyes as he looked back at the boiling pot, "How's work, Big Sis?"
"I am doing good, maybe I will get promoted soon," a wide smile formed, meaning she was doing good in the city.
"What about you, still playing the game?" Meimei took a glass and filled it with water.
"Mnn, but the new game is very hard. I will have a tough time this time," Shen stirred the pot as he nodded.
Both chatted for a while until Shen turned off the stove. He then brought the pot with him to the table.
"Guys, dinner is ready!" Meimei shouted to her family who was in the living room. Shuren was still on his phone as he walked to the table. The boy was engrossed with his phone. Maybe he had trained that, he bumped nothing and sat on the table.
Uncle Wen and Auntie Jun came together with a man. The man was tall, even taller than him, '187? Or maybe 190?' Shen estimated the man's height.
The man combed the hair to the side, his face was clean with a strong jaw and high nose bridge. He was not the most dashing man, still far compared to the dashing idol on the tv, but he was still good-looking nevertheless.
Sister Meimei ran toward the man, she hooked her arm to the man's and pulled the man toward him, "Let me introduce him to you, Shen. He's your future brother-in-law, Tao Qiao."
The man called Tao Qiao smiled at him and Shen smiled back, "Hello, I am Yang Shen."
"Hello, I am Tao Qiao," Tap Qiao's hand circled to Meimei's waist, "So you are that cripple!?"
Shen's smile froze, not expecting to hear that from the man's mouth. He glanced toward Sister Meimei, the latter also froze, looking at her boyfriend with an unbelievable gaze.
Shuren stopped looking at the phone. He raised his head to look at Tao Qiao who had a smile.
Auntie Jun and Uncle Wen frowned as soon as they heard that from Tao Qiao's mouth.

Modded Skyr*m: Real Life Edition
It seems that I died while I was playing VR Skyr*m. The next thing I knew, I was standing in front of the middle-aged man who called himself The Overlord of Dremora and Dragons. He told me they were releasing Skyr*m: Real-Life Edition. However, you have to be dead first to play it, and I was chosen as a 'beta tester' of sorts. I found myself in a semi-realistic (thanks to mods) world, and I want to have fun and relax for the rest of my life, and maybe get back to Earth. There's just a small *RAWR* problem. Setting: This happens within the world in The Legend of the Fake Hero, specifically two arcs from now. About: I am writing this for fun as a side project. I intend this to be semi-interactive as I will have polls where readers can influence the book's direction. I have the final say because I believe that too many cooks in the kitchen are not a good thing. The plan is to write it in parts that are around 1-2k words. Typically around every 3 to 6 parts, they will be combined into a finalized chapter and re-edited for a smoother read. Release schedule: When I feel like it. I'll be more inclined to write if there is more interaction, both in comments and polls, towards the story. However, I will be focusing on The Legend of the Fake Hero because that is something I own entirely and enjoy. I will try to do consistent uploads. Disclaimer: This work falls under fair use as it is a partial parity, does not affect the value of the original work, is an original story within the setting (within my setting), and is not being sold. All IP belongs to their respective owners (including myself). Currently uploading on Scribble Hub and Royal Road under the same username.
