Noob Player Chapter 18

Shen found the connection between the symbol and the house's meaning. The symbol indicated the class, and maybe the house was a person's house with that class?
He was still confused, but he decided to check everything. The third house on the right had a symbol of a spoon, fork, and knife on the plaque, "Cook? Chef?"
"But it's still weird," Shen muttered in a low voice, "People usually use either spoon and fork or fork and knife as a symbol. I never see anyone use all three at once."
He turned to the third house on the left. The symbol on the plaque was a bow and a dagger pointed downward, "Archer?" Shen muttered as he kept walking forward.
The fourth house on the left had two spears crossed with each other as a symbol, "Dual Spears wielding?" He then checked the fourth house on the right, "It's another tube, but with "+" symbol instead of a skull. Another alchemist?" At this point, Shen was getting even more confused with the symbol. It did not tell him the right information.
He continued walking, at this step, he reached the last house from both sides, the fifth house. The last house on the left had a hammer and anvil as the symbol, "This is without a doubt a Blacksmith House. Then what about the other one?"
There was a house with a hammer that was slightly slanted as a symbol. He thought that was the blacksmith's house, and it seemed he was wrong again.
Shaking his head, Shen looked at the last house on the left side. The plaque on the fifth house on the left had a word engraved on it. Yes, instead of a picture, it was a word. He did not know the original word or the original language of the game, but the word was written in Chinese, "Sword".

"Let's check inside," he was more intrigued to enter this house. First, this house had a different symbol than the others. Second, his class in the Universe Online was Swordsman. He was familiar with the sword, familiarizing himself with a new weapon brought harm instead of an advantage.
He stepped on the wooden stairs, there was no cranky sound made. It indicated that despite the wooden house looking old, it was sturdy and well maintained!? The last part confused Shen since he saw no one around.
He stopped in his first step, 'What if the house belongs to an NPC Expert? I will be killed for sure,' with those thoughts in his head, he took back his first step. Messing up with a Player was one thing, but once you messed up with the NPC, you would have a hard time playing.
Even though the game's motto was No Quests, but Conquest, the NPC still gave out a quest. The class quest, one needed to complete the quest to get the class. Gaining a noble title also needed a quest if one decided to play in the existing kingdom. Or if someone wanted to join an organization made by NPC, they would give a quest before one could join. Quest still existed, pissing off NPC would trouble him for sure.
"Hello, I am… Lost person? Anyone inside?" Fortunately, Sky did not give the players a hard time learning a new language inside the game to talk with the NPC. The NPCs would talk the language based on the game's setting.
Shen waited for an answer as the breeze slowly brushed his cheeks. He was surprised because the breeze came from the house, "Is it my imagination?"
He furrowed his brows, looking through the doorless entrance. He found out that the inside was too dark for him to see, swallowing mouthful saliva, he spoke again, "Hello, anyone inside? Can I enter your house?"

There was no answer, but a stronger breeze hit his cheeks. Shen subconsciously took two steps back as his nape hair stood. The feeling was too real and he felt a chill on his back, "Man, one bad luck after another. I encountered a sh*tty streamer, now I respawned in a ghost village…" his voice faded as he realized something.
"Don't tell me the village is not empty, but it's just me who can't see the villager?" Shen's head moved around, to see around him. The village was too bright for a ghost village, the warm evening sunlight penetrated to the village, giving off warmth to the empty village.
The thought of ghosts would appear at night crossed his mind. At that thought, he had a spur to log out. He was brave and he would not be afraid of thugs even if they came for him.
He could run if the thugs had a weapon, and he could fight if he could win. However, ghosts were another thing. It could run faster than him, and he could not hit it. One thing for sure, most ghosts looked very scary.
Once, Ming and Dale asked him to watch an old series of horror movies. It was a Japanese horror movie that was very hard to get at this time, it was a fifty years old movie. The Grudge 1, 2, and 3, was the first and the last time he watched horror movies.
Even after weeks, the image of the ghosts still lingered in his head. He learned his lesson; he had never touched horror genre movies since then.
"Then at least, I have to check out inside the house before the night comes. Maybe there is a treasure or something inside," Shen did not run, "I will log out if I encountered a ghost…"
Taking a deep breath, Shen took the wooden stairs, "Sorry for disturbing your rest, I am sorry. I am just a lost person who needs shelter, I am sorry for disturbing your rest," he spouted random nonsense as he stepped onto the porch. At the same time, he felt a gentle breeze. He ignored the breeze.
Shen carefully walked toward the dark entrance, his heartbeat spiked as he got closer to the entrance. Then he arrived at the entrance, where a plaque with "Sword" written on it was hung.
He still could not see what was inside even though he was right in front of the entrance. This piqued Shen's interest. Sky said that there was no mage or magic in the early stage of the game. Here he encountered something similar to magic.
"I just hope there's no jump scare inside," with that thought in his mind, he entered the house. To his surprise, inside the house was not dark. It was about the size of his living room and kitchen together, but the light shone in all directions.
He looked to the side where the source of light came from. There was a bed with a white sheet and a table with a lamp? The game setting was medieval time, "Did lamps get invented during that time? Nah, this is a world where magic exists… Wait, Magic is not supposed to exist this early…"
He was about to reach the lamp until he heard a cracking sound. Shen halted his steps and looked toward the noise. At the end of the room, he saw a man statue made of stone. The cracking sound was coming from the statue where the stone started to crack.
"GHOST!!!"
