Noob Player Chapter 10

Shen had played the game for an hour in-game time, meaning it was just half an hour passed in real-time. He had to wait six hours for his appointment.
He slumped his back on the comfy seat of his gaming pod, thinking what he should do for the six hours.
'Ah, there's a bug about the game, should I report it? Maybe Sky will reward me for reporting the bug,' he was thinking of reporting the bug since he could not exploit it because of some assholes.
'Yeah, let's report it rather than letting the others exploit the bug,' Shen opened Tribe Online's official site and found the email.
He typed the greeting and immediately went for the main topic. He typed the bug he encountered in the game, 'Oh, I should attach the screenshot of my status window or they may not believe me.'
Sky boasted for the Olympus that the players would never encounter a bug in the game. Now he found it, they should offer him a reward to close his mouth, "...Right?"
Shen could not help but smile that a worldwide company like Sky would bother him. But if it happened, it would be a fun moment in his life. Of course, the reward was not in his mind, since it was a bug, it bound to be found sooner or later. He might as well be the good guy and reported to Sky.
"Oh, I have to open my character status window," he logged in to the official site and took a screenshot of his window status. After that, he attached the screenshot to the email and sent it.
"What should I do now?" If not for his right knee, he might go working out. He did not want to risk it after yesterday. He limped now, and he would have to use a stick if he forced himself.

"Man, this is boring…" he noticed there was a reply from Sky. It was quite fast and he opened the email, "Tsk, it's a bot reply."
Shen turned off the gaming pod and got out.

Sky Headquarter, Chengdu, China
A male employee of the Customer Service of Sky received the email. It was not an inquiry, but a bug report. There was a distinct color when it was a bug report and a normal inquiry email.
Customer Service was one of the busiest departments in Sky for their first day of launching. They received a lot of emails and calls, asking them a lot of things. From the basic things until the complicated things.
However, the email they received was mostly a threat email, telling Sky to make a big update to add Mage Class or Magic into the game. It had been a tiring morning for Po Mian.
The inquiry email was yellow and green in color, depending on the topic. And it was red for the bug report. Po Mian for the first time received the bug report.
"A bug report, are you kidding me? Are you trying to scam a huge company such as Sky?" Po Mian could not help ridicule before he opened the email while shaking his head. He thought the content would be threatening them that the sender had found a bug and asked them for something if they did not want Sky's name ruined or something because of the bug.
Po Mian read the email, there was no threat inside. It was a genuine bug report, "Minus Level?" He frowned as he uttered in disbelief, "Huh, there is a screenshot attached," Po Mian opened the attached file.
It was Shen's screenshot, Runner character's status window. He quickly scrolled down and found out that the character was Level -10. Po Mian rubbed his eyes, "Is this real? Or is this edited?"

Po Mian could not tell if the screenshot was edited or not. However, he could easily find the truth. Sky could easily check if the character existed and whether it was real or fake.
"Oh my god, if this is real, we will get f*cked up for sure," Sky was now the center of attention of the world. If this bug came to the public, Sky would be laughing stock. Sky's stock that kept rising would drop for sure.
Po Mian immediately forwarded the email to the development team. He did not want to take the risk of delaying this issue.

Development Team
Chang Yun was one of the core members of the development team of the Sky Branch. He was watching one of the famous pro-player playing the game until he received an email.
"A bug? No way!" Chang Yun did not believe it. He was someone that was so close to Olympus. He knew how advanced Olympus was, even if there was a bug, Olympus should be able to patch by itself. Unless Olympus took the "bug" as not a bug.
Chang Yun opened the mail and quickly read everything. He had the same reaction as Po Mian, "Level goes minus?" Chang Yun made a weird expression. He opened the screenshot, he observed the screenshot closely.
"It's not forged…" he muttered in a low voice as his heartbeat spiked up. This bug report made him nervous.
Chang Yun used his access to access the player database. He quickly searched for "Runner" from the database and quickly found the data. Runner character existed in Tribe Online. He clicked and opened it. Quickly he found Runner's status window.
His eyes followed down to the level part he discovered it was level -10. He could not believe what he saw. He closed the data and opened it again, making sure he was not seeing things. It was still the same.
Chang Yun did not want to believe the game had a bug. He closed the access and searched "Runner" again. He kept checking the email and the data, making sure he was not wrongly opening another character status window. It was still the same.
Chang Yun kept repeating, and he even tried to use another computer. After fifteen minutes of silly reactions, he slumped back on his seat weakly. He accepted that there was a bug in Tribe Online.
He forked out his orange and called his superior, Director Guan.
"Sir, we found a bug…"

The Edge of Endless
Due to some unforseen and significant life events, this story will be on hiatus for a time. Reborn into a strange but familiar world, Alex makes it his mission to uncover the mysteries of governments, gods, and the arcane realm known only (and inaccurately) as the Unending Depths. Slowly but surely, he grows in ability and meets new and interesting people. tEoE is an epic fantasy LitRPG with a focus on plot, writing, and hopefully original twists on the standard formula of 'MC picks cool class, levels up'. Give it a read if any of the following appeals to you: > 3000-5000 words per chapter, chapters released at least once per week, usually several times. Expect good grammar. > Story focus on illusions, secrets, and traps (along with the usual combat and character stuff). > Progression fantasy, but one where progress is meant to feel earned, moderately paced, and reasonable. Some advantages, but not big, unfair ones. > If a random reader can work out that putting a big rock in a bag of holding, lifting it, and then dropping the rock is free energy, then so could an adventurer who's owned a bag of holding for twenty years. Side characters have brains too. > Blue boxes! Levels! [Classes]! [Skills]! Loot! > No uncomfortable sexist undertones. Ambivalent about including relationships. Definitely no harems. There are a number of arcs planned and this will be ongoing for some time. I am very appreciative of the kind reviews and comments left so far.
