Ivan entered the Sapphire Bungalow and immediately the brothers, Renjie and Fulai threw their toys and went to him. Little Shuǐhuá looked up as they ran outside to he koi pond where they loved catching the fish with their hands.

Five year old Ivan had become quite a scoundrel and the four year old Yang boys followed him everywhere. Together they must have broken so many artifacts of the Yang household that the maids had stopped complaining. The mayor was only happy when he would hear the sound of something breaking. He would everyday end up playing with them and getting muddy. ​​

Shuǐhuá ran after her brothers and Ivan but they were too fast for her. She just went to their favorite location. When she saw that the three of them were again in the koi pond, she shouted, "Come out of that. It is dirty. Mama will spank you all."

Ivan looked at her annoyingly and said, "You go back inside!" and splashed water on her.

Shuǐhuá's frock was drenched in water and the maid who was attending her picked her in her lap. Shuǐhuá tried to clean her frock and flicking her hair back she said, "No, I won't go inside!"

The boys spent a lot of time in the pond and then ran to west garden where they built castles out of mud. Shuǐhuá also ran after them and while she was running after them, she fell on the grass. Her brothers ran away but Ivan turned back and extended his hand saying, "Get up! Why do you keep falling?"

Yang Lina was having tea with Rosa as they gossiped about various people.

"Where will you be celebrating the kids' birthday this year? It is due in a week's time," asked Rosa.

"Father wants it in his bungalow that he had built in the new colony that has come up in the downtown area. And father-in-law is okay with it, so we will be celebrating there…" replied Yang Lina.

Rosa had miscarried her second baby and so Yang Lina never talked about it.

They went on to talk about other things when Yang XInyu stepped in. "How is my love doing?" he said and shamelessly came and hugged Yang Lina.

Rosa laughed and shook her head. "I am also fine," she said.

"Ah! Ok," said Yang Xinyu and left to take a shower.

He went to the bedroom and saw that his boys were playing in mud. He chuckled and went to play with them. Shower could wait.
