Vladimir had told Wu Lina that he had arranged for a massive gathering to present her as his daughter. She had smirked at him. She disinterested in his wealth and his power. She had placed his trust on him but he failed to gain her confidence.

After he had sent out the first code, Zhao Hai xiang waited for an hour near the radio in order to get any signal. He had transmitted at a certain frequency. But he would tune into different frequencies to get any response. There was no response until midnight and he retired to bed dejectedly. All of a sudden, at 2am in the night he heard soft tap of the Morse code. He removed the blanket that he had covered himself with and hurried to the bathroom. The Morse code was relayed and replied back. He had formed a connection.

He informed them that Vladimir was hosting a party for Wu Lina.

A day was left for the party. Yang Xinyu had gathered his army and had already entered Bulgaria. His people started pouring in one after the other discreetly. Some entered via air route, while most entered through borders. There was no trace about their entry into the country. They were like drifters who just never existed on the face of the earth. All of them gathered in the hotel where the party was supposed to be held under fake names. It was the best five star hotel of the city. The hotel was receiving so many guests that the Yang Xinyu's man easily gained access to the rooms. Yang Xinyu chose to stay in an ordinary deluxe room in the same hotel.

Back in city the Chairman had sabotaged the plans of the mayor for building his dream project by passing the information to the opponent political party. The opponent party had created a huge issue and demanded him to reveal the source of funding for his project. Obviously the Chairman was never in the forefront. The mayor was unable to detect as to where the information had leaked. The media had ripped the mayor's reputation and within a day he was made to step down.

The elections were held in emergency and only two candidates were nominated for the post, by their respective parties. However, at the eleventh hour their nominations were cancelled, as both of them backed out.

In the evening newspapers of that day, the front-page headline was "The Chairman of the Yang Corporation is the next Mayor of the City".

When Yan Xiaojun saw the news in TV, he was in the bar at the 'House of Fengs'. He smirked and turned his attention to the glass. The bartender, who had become extremely friendly to Yan Xiaojun said, "Did you hear the latest insider news about the Chairman's daughter-in-law?"

Yan Xiaojun looked at him with surprise and shook his head. "How do you know the inside news?"

"Oh well, we all have our resources and then there are rumors that are floating around," said the bartender with a wink.

"So what have you heard about them?" Yan Xiaojun pestered him a little.

"Hmm… sorry sir, but why are so interested in knowing about them? I heard that you were once a very good friend of Yang Xinyu," said the bartender.

Yang Xinyu smirked at him. Taking out several hundred Yuan from his purse, he waved them at the bartender and said, "Speak."

"Well, she has been kidnapped by her own father and taken to Bulgaria. Some say that she was pregnant. But that is not confirmed," said the bartender, shaking his head in disgust. "These rich people… they can do anything to their children…" saying that, he pocketed the money.

Yan Xiaojun froze for a moment. Slamming the glass on the table, he picked his coat and dashed out of the bar.

While driving back to his home, he called his secretary and asked him to find out about Wu Lina. After an hour the secretary called him to confirm the news. He said, "It seems that she had indeed been abducted by Vladimir."

Yan Xiaojun slammed his hands on the steering of the car.

Ying Yue had shown him the reports that she was pregnant with his child. He had to take her responsibility. For his child's sake he would go over to meet Ying Yue every now and then.

That day also he went to meet her to inform her that he was going to look for Wu Lina. He had informed Vladimir about Wenqian with the intention that Vladimir's arrival might stop the marriage. However, everything turned out just the opposite.

When he heard that Vladimir kidnapped Wu Lina, his guilt pinched him. He was responsible for the entire chaos. He wanted to go and meet Wu Lina, and he knew that he was in good books of Vladimir. He had to save Wu Lina. Or was it possible that Vladimir would offer her hand in marriage to him? Then what about Ying Yue? What about the baby she was carrying?

He turned his car towards Ying Yue's house. He had to tell her that he was going to Bulgaria.

When he reached her house, he saw that it was draped in darkness. Perhaps she wasn't in. After parking the car in the garage, he dug the keys out of his coat and opened the door. The living room was sheathed in darkness and only a dim light had lighted the staircase that lead to her room. Slowly he climbed the stairway and reached her room. Just as he was about to turn the knob, he heard her sobbing. His steps froze midway. She was talking to someone and it appeared that she was the phone. He focused his attention on the conversation.

"What do you mean doctor?" asked Ying Yue.

A brief pause…

"But how is that possible?"

A pause…

"No!" she wailed louder. You mean I can't become a mother at all?"

Yan Xiaojun heard the phone dropping on the floor. His mind went numb.
